Thank you, for the great content. How soon after initial planting can you begin to prune to shape and size and how soon after planting do you start a spraying schedule?
Thank you very much for your kind comment! Ideally the tree is dormant when planted, provided it is, I'd get the general shape I'd like the tree to grow in started right away. Some examples for the modified central leader would be removing branches that are too close to main scaffold branches. Or topping the tree if an open center is the goal. You shouldn't have to worry about spraying until it starts to flower and produce fruit. As far as what I use, it's a simple diy dormant oil (1 tbsp organic oil, drop of dish soap in a spray bottle).
Bobby,Lelystad Nederland... Hai Martijn, ben ik weer😄ik denk meteen maar even kijken naar je snoeikunsten👌lekker bezig, goed uitgelegd. Nederlandse soort appel? Hey Bobby, dankjewel! 😆
Hard to say why that would've happened, I'm sorry to hear that though. Currently I'm growing all my trees and shrubs in these barrels, and it's worked fine so far.
Your videos are really helpful - I now feel as if I know a lot more about pruning my apple trees! Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind words, I'm glad to hear my videos are helping you!
Very good, clear and great techniques.
Thank you for the kind comment!
That crow is a riot. 😆
Haha yeah for real 😂

Pruning apple trees
Indeed!
I had the exact same pots and trees but all of that died before any bud break, lost four trees and gave up
