I read The Secret Life of Bees many years ago, don’t remember too much about it except that they lived in a pink house because it made one of the sisters happy. That had a lasting impression on me 😊
Oh that’s awesome! Yes the pink house was a sweet story☺️ have you read any other books by that author? I’ve been wanting to read The Book of Longings by her!
@@anabruns I read The Mermaid Chair, also a long while ago, and didn’t really care for it. More interestingly, a REALLY long time ago when I was in college, she spoke at a dinner I attended. She wasn’t writing fiction at the time I don’t think, just women’s devotional books.
I am also in the Caraval camp over OUABH series. I loved your review. Caraval is the series that kickstarted my love for reading again after years of only occasionally reading books here and there.
Oooh it’s so good to hear from someone else who loves Caraval! I feel like online it’s always shadowed by OUABH. The book that gets you into (or re-into) reading is always so special☺️ Harry Potter is what made me become a reader when I was young and so it holds an extra dear place in my heart💕
I’ve read quite a few books that aren’t exactly what I’d call high quality literature, but still loved. One that comes to mind is Lore by Alexandra Bracken. The plot wasn’t very complex but the book stayed with me because of the characters and their relationships, and the overall atmosphere. In romance, I’d recommend Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn. I’m not big on the romance genre for all the things you mentioned about Bodyguard, but Love Lettering is one that I enjoyed and have re-read. The writing style is a bit flowery but personally I really enjoyed it!
I really loved The Bodyguard and frequently think about it. For me it was a 5 star read, but everyone has their own preferences. Really enjoyed this video and appreciate your thoughts on Karaval.
Ooh thank you so much for the recommendations!! Yeah sometimes I want books that make me think and sometimes I want books that I can turn my brain off for! Or just vibe out too☺️I’ll have to check out Lore and the romance book you suggested - I haven’t heard of either before so that’s exciting. I can enjoy some flowery writing when I’m in the mood for that vibe🥰
Oh I’m glad you had a better experience with The Bodyguard than I did! So interesting how people can read books and have completely different experiences. Are you thinking of reading Caraval?
@@anabruns I’m not sure if I will read Caraval because I have heard so many mixed reviews, although your opinions are making me reconsider reading it. How you listed the pros and cons of the book was very helpful.
Aw Coco says thank you!😸 yay I hope you enjoy Caraval as much as I did!! I will say, it took me most of the first book before I was sold on the series, so try to persevere even if it starts out meh haha. I’d love to hear your thoughts once you read it☺️
Nothing fancy! I copy and paste the pictures into a google doc and then print it from there. I have a Canon TR printer, not super high end but it works well!
Another ~Legendary~ reading journal spread!! Glad you found some more 5* reads :)
Me too!📖 and thank you☺️❤️

What software do you use for internet images? I struggle to print images in high quality, looks like it goes down a lot when I paste and print it.
