You’re cute as a button and very personable but I clicked on this video hoping to learn how to connect my iPhone to my Roku TV via a USB cable…when using the iPhone Hotspot it gives you 2 options..#1. Connect Hotspot via WiFi AND Bluetooth (which is what I’m wanting to avoid) & then #2. Connect via USB Only. I didn’t see anywhere you explained how to connect via USB and when I do, is it in Hotspot mode or Screen Mirroring mode? I ask this only b/c everything else I’ve read and watched, the USB only works when “Screen Mirroring” thus, the USB doesn’t work while using iPhones Hotspot even though it’s been turned on? Apple doesn’t explain this in their pop up. Screen Mirroring and the Hotspot are 2 ways to connect to the Roku (I know…just how elementary I now sounded) to stream…again, when attempting to activate the iPhones Hotspot, it gives u 2 different options BUT it doesn’t say that the USB is strictly for Screen Mirroring only and WiFi/Bluetooth is for your actual Hotspot? Does that make sense? It’s at least what I’ve deduced… but I’m not stranger to being wrong but any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
@ I’m guessing you prefer Android’s operating systems ….(which many people do because it’s an open-sourced system vs. Apple’s iOS (which is closed-sourced…which only means any changes to Apple’s iOS, MUST be made by Apple…another tidbit of info and funny thing, is that most iPhones are manufactured by Samsung, who manufactures most other Android phones)…. I was simply hoping to get clarification on how iPhone works through the USB port on the TV…it seems simple enough, right? But in my world, if I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have no luck at all, including the fact I’m sure that 99% of my bad luck is the personal, owner operator of the device…me 😆! I’ve had nothing but complications when directly connecting my USB cable to my TV and then directly connecting the charging connection end to my phone. It just doesn’t work for me when I’m attempting to use my Hotspot so who knows?
I didn't even need a land line Internet, I used Miracast on my Nexus 5 phone several years ago. I'd just screen cast Netflix and everything from 4G (TMobile) to the TV it worked perfectly. Then I lost that ability with some "upgrade" and had to get a land line Internet. Thanks Trisha!
I do not have a Smart TV, but the TV does have a USB port. But plugging my phone only charges it. It does not mirror.
You need an hdmi to usb adapter for it to work
Please provide At DIY in 5 direct link for lookup of phones to choose correct adapter.
"with a USB"
Except that every option needs either an adaptor or HDMI......... ......
HDMI
My TV has a USB, but this does not show a picture on the TV.
S24ultra connection to car aftermarket Sony XAV-AX8100.
Do i use usb c to hdmi cable or adapter?
Oh Trisha 💕💕💕
Can you provide any details on the google pixels 8 Integrated to the TV or a monitor?
Unfortunately I don't think Pixel phones support this yet 😢 Maybe when Android 15 comes out?
thanks for taking the time to reply.@@peterwolf4483
Now show me how to connect my USB from my Android to the TV.
I'm a visual learner, video showing connection would be helpful.
Does wifi have to be on when mirroring?
Great tips as always Trisha… You 🤘🏾💯
Do you have to have wifi?
I have a kindle hd8 2021 why can’t I mirror the content on my smart tv
I tried this but , screen says no input ????
How do you do this on a old non smart tv?
I would like to know this as well.
So you cannot link your phone to the USB port of a TV. You always need an HDMI end on the cable used. Title a bit misleading ....
She should have more views 🥰

Don't mean to be rude or anything..... but it's so much easier with a Samsung phone.
