We call on High Representative for Foreign and Security Affairs Kaja Kallas to quickly advance the procedures for Ukraine 🇺🇦and Moldova 🇦🇩's accession to the European Union. Especially with the situation that the two countries are currently experiencing, while maintaining a policy of neutrality with Russia's neighboring countries. It is true that there is an issue of lack of confidence in the feasibility of the decision and lack of encouragement for it. But it is about innocent lives above all else. Good luck in your new office.

The collective West has used Ukraine's shoulder to aim at Russia, and this policy has failed. It's even foolish to be hawkish unless EU wants to go down with Ukraine. Germany has realised this and is trying to make amendments. A change of policy is the way forward. EU must develop its own EU centric policies.

As a 76 year old American living in Kherson, Ukraine, for the last five difficult and dangerous years, I have, of necessity, had to learn this subject very fast if I am to have a broader and deeper understanding of what affects me personally and Ukraine and the U.S. more broadly.
An interesting observatioin was made that Ms. Kallas, as a multi lingual European woman may have a natural rapport with First Lady Trump who is also European and multi lingual. I am looking to First Lady Trump to play an important role in influencing (in a good way) her husband and educating him on the regional complexities. Let us hope.
Women are obviously assuming higher leadership roles in the Atlantic/Europe alliance and will hopefully balance out the male wackadoodles (lol) like Victor Orban, on both sides of the Atlantic.
Her immediate ancestors's tragic experiences, who were deported by Stalin to Siberia immediately after WWII, determines and underpines her strong and practical stance toward indicted war criminal, Putin, with his arrest warrant from the ICC for Genocide in Ukraine, particularly with regard to the 20,000 kidnaped and departed Ukrainian children.
    Let's wish her well.

I'm sure that Melanie Trump has been educating her husband on the regional complexities. I suspect that it has played a large role in his determination to make peace with Russia and avoid a larger regional and/or continental war that would be absolutely devastating to the smaller countries in central and eastern Europe. Perhaps Melania can sit down with Kallas and explain the realities of life to her and why it is now simply impossible for the US to remain involved in European military affairs. There seem to be many Europeans who can't accept that the American people are done with Europe and don't have any more money for it.

They need to develop self sufficiency in Security aspects ...
Stable Security architecture for Europe needs to involve Russia too.. as Russia is surely a more powerful nation than many European nations ...

Leave it to the EU journalists to talk about how “efficient” she is or her grandparents’ background. Nobody cares. What major business deals has she negotiated? What major diplomatic accomplishments does she have? Does she have special relationships with important foreign leaders?
It really smells like she was chosen because she is a woman and from the Baltics. The EU elites need to retire and move aside for people chosen on merit.

How can one create a personal relation with Trump when he is threatening the stop support of Ukraine? Eastern Europe and Western Europe will have to make a strong decision. If Trump decides to pull the U.S. out of NATO or any other European Union, all of Europe will either join the Russian federation or defend democracy on their own, with or without the support of the US... Europe MUST support Ukraine, for Ukraine will be the Big Brother of Europe if the US fails to do so. We hope that Kallas do fall through in keeping the EU strong.

She's still wearing a mask in fear of coronavirus, because she has said in front of the Estonian parliament that we have to force our people to wear masks on the basis of a bangladesh village experience about using masks to prevent the spreading of viruses. Absolute embarrasment to our country.

It's good to have women in charge of foreign policy. If men were in charge they might be more inclined to compromise or seek peace, since it is men who will have to fight and die in war. But since women don't have to worry about that they can be harder and more belligerent and be more willing to force the men to make the sacrifices necessary to preserve women's survival and freedoms.

Hey Mike, wake up man! It's 2024, not 1944 or 1844... there are women on the front lines in Ukraine defending their lands from Russian invaders and they're getting injured, maimed, or killed for the cause in the same way as the men... if Russia had Catherine the Great as their leader, rather than Putin the Putrid, they'd be held in far higher regard Internationally.

That's the dumbest logic I've ever heard. Most western militaries have large number of women in combat roles, so you're wrong there, and I think women are better communicators and peace makers than men. This coming from an old white American male.

The western line was first : Ukraine must win and we should support it for as long as it takes. Then it became : Putin should not win. The latest I understand is : Ukraine's position must be strengthened for the negotiating table.
Kallas must be going still with the first line. She has not updated herself.

I had not heard of Steve Gill before this content. As I listened to him, I thought I’ve never heard some of what he said. So I looked into who he is. He’s a conservative talk radio host that acted as a presidential advisor to Clinton and Bush. So his remarks that Trump made single phone calls that caused foreign heads of state to reverse positions in news to me. While Trump may have called them, how does Gill know Trumps call was their deciding factor? More alternative facts?

100% agree... he's another one of Russia's useful idiots... Kieth Kellogg just explained to Fox TV host the other night why Biden sending more weapons to Ukraine before Jan 20th makes for a stronger Ukraine and a weaker Russia, both of which give Tariff man a much better chance of bringing about a speedy settlement. Those who believe Zelenskyy is a war monger conveniently overlook the fact that the Ukrainian people wanted freedom from Russia (orange revolution) and Russia said no way... Zelenskyy is only upholding the will of the people and Russians are too brainwashed to comprehend that notion (ie: the will of the people)... from Ontario, Canada, Slava Ukraïni!
