    I took Brad's advice and went 1 month of no contact with my narc ex. After the period I gained much clarity of thought & decided that it was not worth it. Leaving him was the best decision ever

      Good. I'm glad you got the clarity. Like I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved. It's your life and it's your decision.

    Thank you so much for that valuable information. Now I am going to build myself stronger and stop crying over someone who decided to walk away from me. He is the one who is going to regret . No contact is the way forward ✌🏻

      That's right. The time apart is for you, mostly but it's also the first route towards getting your ex back if you ever want to give it a try again in the future. It's always best to take your time in deciding first so there'll be no regrets in the end. As I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. After the break up I begged her and showed her my pathetic myself for 10 days, crying, telling her she was the love of my life... She told me she think benevolent of me but she was tired of the situation. Then I wrote her a farewell letter and since then I broke the contacts and never heard from her back.

    • @BradBrowning
      @BradBrowning  10 місяців тому

      Yeah, the letter was totally unnecessary, I think? Redo the "no contact" rule and make sure you stick to it this time. But watch this first to help manage your expectations: ua-cam.com/video/OzVymYnQFTk/v-deo.html Here's how you can tell you're doing the "no contact" rule properly: ua-cam.com/video/f7zuXk-sVsI/v-deo.html It may help to make use of the clean slate template, which is a free version from a piece of my Ex Factor Guide. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/6K3xufEwEFg/v-deo.html The main goal is to bring your ex into an emotional neutral state by employing the 30-day “no contact” rule -- let your ex miss you and don't rush it. But in order to fully understand how this concept works, watch the free in-depth video on my website to learn some psychology techniques and understand how giving each other space for around a month can benefit you than otherwise, at www.breakupbrad.com

    Hi Brad, me and my girlfriend broke up a month and 6 days ago. Both of us continued talking, although we shouldn't have (learned that today, just found your channel, already bettering my mood), and things were actually okay. But yesterday we had a conversation in which she said she was a bit pulled away and that she had moved on with herself, i.e. in terms of not wanting a relationship at the moment, and that she thinks she doesn't feel the same like she used to. She also said that she couldn't be talking to me all day like we used to since she works during the day. Will the NC rule get me somewhere? I also took your quiz and got 72/100. Thanks in advance for your help :')

    Trust me when I say he can feel this anxious energy you're putting out even if he's not around you. You've got to get yourself into "divine feminine energy". This takes time and you have to do the shadow work but believe me when I tell you I was very similar to you after my breakup and the amount of growth is so worth it.
    Idk if you're looking to get back together but once you put yourself into this divine energy he will be drawn back

    Great video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her

    • @BradBrowning
      @BradBrowning  Рік тому

      Tried everything including begging? Because that would absolutely dwindle your chances. Anyway getting an ex back is a gradual process, so there's no one-action solution for this. Okay? The "no contact" phase is a good start, so do that first if you haven’t yet, for 30 days. If you have, then I'm glad you've completed it. There are two more phases to go with a few other steps in between (in the right order). What I'm trying to say here is it's a 3-phase process, and it's a bit complicated to explain it all on here, but I made an overview in the hopes of making people understand, so watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/aeGNPBdpnsI/v-deo.html or read my guide for the entire process. Good luck!

    • @BradBrowning
      @BradBrowning  8 місяців тому

      Hey, how's it going? Did you mean you've tried everything including begging? Because that would've hurt your chances further and you'd be forced to really give her space after that. Anyway since it's been many months since the breakup, it's best to consider the facts I've mentioned here first as this lets you determine whether there's still a real shot or not: ua-cam.com/video/YVViZmY2x0I/v-deo.html and/or take the free quiz at www.breakupbrad.com/quiz Good luck!

    Hi Brad,
    Thank you for your wonderful videos always.
    It helps me a lot and I have few questions it was not mentioned in your videos.
    Does your "No Contact" method also work for very social, popular and busy Ex (boyfriend in my case)?
    He said before that he never felt loneliness in his life.
    He is planning a month trip in 10 days and my no contact time will end soon.
    I am trying to use your No Contact method and it is now 30 days after we broke up and 20 days after our last email.
    Should I contact him now, or should I wait another 10 days (10 days after our last contact) just before his departure?
    Thank you in advance.

      It's best to have a busy life yourself as well instead of relying too much on the outcome of this relationship. Take time to heal. If he's busy traveling, it may not be the best time to reach out just yet.

    And that's the beauty of No contact. You have time to think about letting go or if you want them back. For those who is feeling lonely or left out, better days are coming. Do the things you love and love yourself more!! No contact will not work if you just straight up ignore your ex for 30 says or more and did nothing better for yourself. Unless your situation falls under one or more of the scenarios here: ua-cam.com/video/ek_4wpkV66c/v-deo.html AND ua-cam.com/video/W7iC-gHmZ2A/v-deo.html it's best you ignore contact from your ex. If your ex continues to reach out to you during the no contact stage, however, then this really depends on the frequency and nature of the contact from your ex and whether or not you've reached the phase where you're supposed to be talking again. The only exception is if your ex asks for you back and is sincere about it. If your ex continually messages you, then it’s important to put your ex’s messages into context, more so if this happened during the “no contact” phase. Is your ex trying to contact you about something really important, like an emergency, unpaid bills, or something equally urgent? These are reasons to respond, including messages where they get angry due to your lack of response. Discussed that in full detail here: ua-cam.com/video/GTjEAGJWTuA/v-deo.html So if your ex is really just texting some useless random stuff and/or asses their power over you, then you can just ignore and continue on with the 30-day "no contact" rule. Use your discretion. Watch and follow the tips here: ua-cam.com/video/bgOG9s1fac8/v-deo.html

    Hi Brad,
    What if you have been together for 6 yrs and have to move your stuff out of the house and was told to let him know when you will be grabbing stuff and to take your time. All stemmed from a fight with house stress and diff opinions on how house issues should be handled. He was hysterical crying the whole time during breakup talk saying he knows it won’t work and he thinks we are no longer compatible. I need to move a whole house out a little at a time.

    • @BradBrowning
      @BradBrowning  3 місяці тому

      Sorry to hear that. After the honeymoon phase is over, life becomes more realistic and fights or disagreements are inevitable. But what do you two always bicker about? Fighting is often unavoidable, but when it becomes too much, it’s time to nip the problem in the bud if you still can. So it's either that or you go on a break and discuss the logistics as well as how it should go and how long it should be. It's best to consider the relationship overall first, so watch this: ua-cam.com/video/XuJFf5Kch5o/v-deo.html Anyways it's best to give it time because all this arguing had taken a toll in your relationship. This may help: ua-cam.com/video/BBEhaY3gLIw/v-deo.html Perhaps you've both argued more than you had a good time with each other? It could also be you're too incompatible or stubborn to meet each other halfway. If the negatives outweigh the positives in the relationship, that's when an imbalance happens and the relationship will keel over wherein one or both people will likely abandon ship, as the case with your ex. It's time to reset things. Start with the 30-day "no contact" rule to get your ex into a psychological neutral. Here's how it can help you: y2u.be/zw0ChuXCEmw

      I don't see this as a cause for concern really, unless you've done something really epic to mess things up or really hurt your ex, there's no reason to worry as much, really, because it could be due to the top 3 reasons I've stated on this vid: y2u.be/fjtv90o9bkI Blocking you could just be your ex’s way of coping so I wouldn’t worry too much about it if I were you, at least not initially. Hi Brad,
    My guy is in some tensed situation, and he said I can not be in relation with you . When I asked him repeatedly he said I don’t want to leave you. But he stopped texting or calling me on his own like before. Once in a while he just checks on me. If I ask he will say I am busy. For a particular reason I have to be in contact with him to get my stuff from him, which I can get it in instalments. Can you tell if I can start doing no contact and contact only about getting stuff whenever I need to get them..? Will this help me to heal or to get him back..?

    • @BradBrowning
      @BradBrowning  4 місяці тому

      No contact should help you heal and that's pre-requisite to get him back. The rest depends on how well you play your cards. It's important to give him space especially since he's saying conflicting things. That kind of behaviour coming from your ex is somewhat expected after a fresh/recent breakup. A wide array of different emotions coming from an ex is somewhat expected when a breakup is still fresh and this includes the likelihood of your ex giving you mixed or weird signals. Watch this: y2u.be/siApAVtx8zE This is why I tell people to cut off contact for at least a month first and NOT deal with this ex. You both need to clear your minds first, all right? A breakup hurts both people in it regardless of who has done the breaking up. This is something I've discussed here, so watch it to learn a few tips to help you on how to go about it: ua-cam.com/video/1kJ1ybuFIHE/v-deo.html

      @BradBrowning  4 місяці тому

      Sorry, man, but chances are your girl has been at least emotionally cheating on you. Discussed that in depth here: y2u.be/7KE6nb4-ndA There's no easy way to say this but the answer is is to move on, especially if your ex doesn't seem to be regretting their actions and asking to get back together. Most of the time, a lot of people would move on, but a few would still fight for the relationship, so this all depends which side you're on and what your views are. But take into consideration about what I’ve mentioned here, too: ua-cam.com/video/m27TLeyUmwg/v-deo.html There is no right or wrong answer here because it is your relationship and it's personal to you. Make sense? Anyway men and women cheat for different reasons, but if you think your ex is worth it and if there's been a genuine connection between you two before the cheating happened, then try to see the roles that you BOTH played that led to all this mess and see once and for all if it can be resolved or not, okay? Whatever the case, it's important you forgive yourself because no one's perfect, and forgive your ex too. Really take your time before deciding though and be sure not to make any hasty decisions from an emotional place but never force things with her if you can see she no longer wants to try. Take care!

    I've been in no contact for 2 years from a 2 and half year relationship,
    My sibling was friends with my ex and told my ex things I was upto and who I'm dating etc behind my back like a snake
    Ex has never contacted me and I've never contacted my ex for 2 years
    I seen ex on other side of the road and ex never seen me and still I never approached my ex
    No letters, no texts, no calls, no stalking, no stalking on social media, no asking family or friends
    No contact means no contact, its hard but not impossible to do
    I concentrate on my personal growth
    Thanks

      You're on the right path, assuming you've done the first phase (30-day "no contact" rule) correctly and basically had set the stage for this second part. Be sure to check out my other videos for more tips on how to go about this, especially this: y2u.be/gUBNd6pDINM Since you've only recently reconnected, then don't expect your ex to warm up easily. Getting an ex back is a process. Here's a short infograph to guide you in each process: ua-cam.com/video/7JtmVbDkblw/v-deo.html Look out for the signs that your ex has moved on, though: y2u.be/TnZzeEIPEik But evaluate things, too. Are you sure you're not trying to rush it? Setting a deadline is a good way to fail when it comes to exes, so I highly discourage it. What steps have you taken to get your ex back? It's time to re-assess those and see what's working versus what's not working. Sometimes, getting an ex back is like trying to fit a square into a circle, but oftentimes, chances are you're letting emotion dictate you and therefore end up making the wrong choices. Have you checked out my guide yet? It’s ultimately up to you to act (or not act, depending on which phase you’re in) on getting your ex back, but it helps if you read it to ensure that you’re on the right track. Check it out at www.breakupbrad.com

    My ex said he still loves me and would like to start talking again as friends after a week. Should I follow what he said or stick with 30-day no contact? We broke up due to my insecurities that I impulsively voiced break-up while after a few days I regretted but this has hurt him so much and can’t be rewinded. This was the third time I did that so he fed up but generally we enjoyed our time so much in 7-month relationship. I’ll try to seek counselling to deal with my own insecurities too as this has been a pattern of my couple of past relationships with the same consequences.

    • @BradBrowning
      @BradBrowning  Рік тому

      I suggest to stick to the 30-day rule for your own good unless you both agreed it's just a one-week break. But looking at your situation, I do think you need the space and time apart to get yourself right first. But don't be ashamed of where you messed up in this relationship. It's good to be self aware and to try to actively work on those issues you have with a licensed therapist. Take care!

    Hi Brad, I have a question: I was dating someone i fell in love with, after only 2 weeks i already screwed up by giving her too much of me. When we ended it i immediately followed these rules. The night we broke up i was desperate and i called her way too many times. But on the day after when we were having this closing conversation i appeared happy, independent and i looked my best. I noticed her body language that she was interested during the conversation (playing with her hair) and now she sended me 2 snapchats (i didn’t open them yet and i will continue to not open them for as long as possible).
    Now i’m in the no contact phase but i’m affraid that 30 days is too much since we never got a real relationship and just dated for 2 weeks..
    But she is the first girl i wanted to go all in for since the last 3 years. I really really like her so now it’s my mission to get her to want me again.
    My question is for how long do i need to quit the contact based on my situation? I think 30 days is too much and she will move on by that time. I know she has multiple options

      Take my free quiz to know what your chances are, at www.breakupbrad.com/quiz As to being friends, that's a bad idea. Don't do it, man. She's lost attraction for you and it's a terrible idea to be friends with her. You ought to cut off contact for at least 30 days first. Silence is key and here's why: ua-cam.com/video/zw0ChuXCEmw/v-deo.html If you continue being friends right away, the boundaries won't be clear and you're technically both free to date other people. Wouldn't it be pure torture if your ex dates a rebound in front of you because you're only "friends" now, don't you think? So it’s not a good idea, especially if you want this ex back. Watch these two videos so you’ll know why being friends won’t lead you anywhere you wanna be with your ex and how to get out of this trap, respectively at ua-cam.com/video/pv_cjzhVKAY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/sS4V4IOcOgs/v-deo.html but read my Ex Factor Guide since that’s much more detailed and so you'll know how to go about it, what to do after each phase (there are three phases in total), including what to say, do or not do, along with bonus materials for texting. Time and space apart when things are no longer working out always helps. But you two have to address the issue sooner or later. What do you two always bicker about? Fighting is often unavoidable, but when it becomes too much, it’s time to nip the problem in the bud if you still can. So it's either that or you go on a break and discuss the logistics as well as how it should go and how long it should be. What were you two fighting or arguing about?

      The 30-day "no contact" rule can work for you in the following ways: ua-cam.com/video/zw0ChuXCEmw/v-deo.html Your ex is diverting his/her attention to someone else, which is the easiest thing to do and is really just his/her way of coping. If anything, your ex is suffering, too, even though it may not seem like it. Discussed that here: ua-cam.com/video/7KE6nb4-ndA/v-deo.html So that's what you ought to be doing too. Here, watch this: ua-cam.com/video/gUBNd6pDINM/v-deo.html so try to put your focus elsewhere because your ex is likely rebounding and you're only wasting precious minutes of your life worrying about something that's out of your control whether the rebound ends up working out or not. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/TBtb34gy6zw/v-deo.html Now lastly, keep in mind that your ex is suffering too, even though they try to cover it up. Discussed that here: y2u.be/7KE6nb4-ndA

      Your ex has the best answer for that q. But if you ask me, this isn't really a concerning issue, at least initially, unless you've done something really epic to mess things up or really hurt your ex, there's no reason to worry as much, really, because it could be due to the reasons I've stated on this vid: y2u.be/s52sRweJlm8 So give it time. Hey Brad! My Ex and I dated for a year, she even moved across the country for me and we moved in together. At the 10 month mark, I felt a bit smothered so I asked for an open relationship to explore other people. I moved across the country temporarily for a couple months and we still talked, while keeping open. When I came back, we reconnected romantically every day for a week. I felt she was pulling away though. We then fought at the end of the week, I got a bit needy and canceled dates out of jealousy, and she broke up with me over text and blocked me on everything. I went to go see her the next day butshe went on a tinder date with another guy and said that I'm not as patient as I claimed to be, but she may reach out again in couple months. It has been a month of NC, and she didn't reach out for my bday a few days ago. Should I reach out with an easygoing email? Or wait for her to reach out first?

      Looking out for yourself, healing and taking the necessary time to accept the breakup and process what happened isn't emotional blackmail. The relationship ended, you part ways, therefore you need this time for yourself. @@BradBrowning I could be wrong, but the topic was "how does your ex feel during no contact". Isn't the whole point of knowing that, to get him or her back? In that case, it would definitely be emotional blackmail. Otherwise, if you are definitely breaking up, why would you even care about his feelings? To me no contact is more about leaving the other person because it's more toxic and unhealthy not to do so. I speak from experience, that relationship was so painful, I didn't want to know anything about her feelings, not even for one second.

      I suggest you both live your lives and if you're both single, chances are you'll reconnect again in the future if you both choose to do so.

    I never heard of no contact before until February. For me, no contact means just moving on with your life.
    Thank you for your service Brad, you have really helped me. You have a good way of explaining things in a way I can understand them.

    no contact doesn't work with my current ex. hes such an odd man. i've never met a man like him before. even naturally men need space but when i was living with my ex he needed me more like a drug. he was like a female who wanted attention 24/7 which i loved & even now he dumped me for the 5th time (my fault each time) he's thinking with his heart and not head, whereas a man would naturally think with his head.
    my ex says that to heal he needs to talk to me daily, and he's telling me not to exist his life or do no contact cus then he'll drift away.

      Wait. You ought to view the situation clearly. How was it your fault each and every time? With on-and-off relationships, oftentimes this is a sign of underlying issues which have been left unaddressed for quite some time. It may be time to put things into perspective while it's still early because in 14 years spent as a relationship online coach alone, I find that a breakup is often NOT just one person's fault, so look at the roles that you've BOTH played that led to the breakup and if the issues have a chance to get resolved, and how to go about it. In most cases, the problems that led to the breakup can be resolved, but in some cases, it can't. So take time to evaluate, okay? However, I have to warn you not to ask the reasons from your ex. This is what I've discussed here along with other stuff that might help you, so this is a must-watch: ua-cam.com/video/zqAEi9PbEAA/v-deo.html But if you're interested in making this your last breakup, sign up for my coaching program at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching especially if there's an available spot. Good luck!

      Not all women do, but yes, some do. It depends on the type of girl you're dealing with.

      Agreed. Everyone deals with loss differently. People go out, drink, bad habits while others confront, improve habits, and grow. Regardless of whatever type of woman she is, it's never easy....@@BradBrowning

    no contact should be for YOU to move on and help with YOUR healing! Not used as a manipulation tactic to get someone back when there’s a reason that you aren’t with them! Let them go and do this for you!!!

      The first path towards moving on and getting an ex back follows the same route. It's always best to take your time in deciding first so there'll be no regrets in the end. As I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved. It's your life and it's your decision.
