A lot of people come here because it’s the first video that comes up but without cutting the dash apart there is a way and probably quicker.
On a 2015 I replaced the blower motor and resistor. To find the blower motor/resistor is located on the left hand side of the car, if you have a left hand driving car the steering column and pedals will be in the way.
You do not have to disconnect the steering shaft but the steering column has to be unbolted and moved to the left as far as you can get it, the pedals also have to be unbolted and moved to the left. I removed the dash cluster for a better view, so I did not have to lay on my back to do this work. The resistor is very hard to see, none of the above work has to be done if you are just replacing the resistor but moving the pedals would be easier.

Class video clip. This helped me tremendously, but I did struggle getting the blower motor out because it was tight. I found you can remove the fan blades and attached motor, by unclipping the white clips inside x 3 with a long thin screwdriver and separating it from the motor body (just pull them apart). This allows you to get the body in first and then the fan part, re-inserting them back together inside the dash. Practice on an old one. Saved me a fortune, so thank you Fassosa, you are my star of the week....

Did this few days ago after watching your video. Motor could not get past the steering attachment bracket on the big cross member. Had to remove two splined srews that hold the top vent outlet on the heater box. (I am talking about the vent outlet that connects to that vent pipe that was cut.) After removing the screws the vent can be lifted up and this allows for the motor to be lifted up and get past the steering attachment bracket. The one screw is difficult to get to and I removed a parcel shelf below the steering for better acccess.
When removing the motor learn from this by getting out of the car MANY times and looking in through the windscreen. Getting the motor in and out is still extremely tight fitting. When putting the replacement motor back in again look through the windscreen to see where it is getting stuck. Do not force the motor in as the fan drum may break.
I understand from a dealership they do not cut the vent pipe/duct. They say they just fold it away...
Thank you for the video. It saved the day and a lot of money.
( Working blind is difficult, but your fingers soon start brailleing around to find the screws.)

Did you still need to cut the pipe?

Thanks dude! I bought the NRF 34031 from eBay for £46 but I had a quote of £216 for installation.
Sawing through the pipe was a bit daunting to start with but once you get going it probably took about 20-30 minutes to saw all the way through. Once I got close to the cables I put a piece of a scrap plastic in between the wires and the blade to prevent accidentally cutting one.
I found unclipping the main wiring loom and moving toward you a few centimetres made all the difference.
My first diy fix on a car. Very satisfying to have successfully got it done. Thanks again!

A very useful post, although I managed to do mine without cutting the heater pipe, just pulled it to one side and tied it back with a piece chord. Total time no more than an hour.

Mark and disconnect steering link at top, remove A pillar covers and top dash panel as in this vid, push the duct this guy cut off to the right slightly just clear of the central box outlet, remove the dash frame mounting bolts x8 13mm bolts, 3 in each door jam and 2 you can see above the cut ducting, remove the handbrake surround panel 2 screws at rear and 2 clips at front, remove lower centre console 2 retaining clips , pull out the panel and remove the vertical support bracket behind 4 x 10mm nuts, lift and slide the whole dashboard rearwards about 50 mm, this gives you the space to remove the fan blower motor through the top, simply refit. Whole job takes about an hour.

I found that if I cut an ,6incj.pircenof bulkhead insulatoon away it literally made a massive difference....an extra half inch to manoeuvre blower into position then just duct tape it back into place...It holds itself in situ anyway bit tape to stop it dropping away....
