I definitely feel this, and know that burnout feeling after completing something I put my whole heart and passion into. For a while I tried to run from that by constantly working and never sitting with that "completed" feeling but (shocker) that led to burnout too. I'm trying to practice enjoying the journey more. Sounds cliche but that's why we do this, right? So we can wake up every day and love what we do. I'm trying not to measure success on the final product I put out, and more on whether I'm spending my time doing something I love. If today that's playing video games, great! I'm working on feeling good that I've created a life where I can spend a day doing that, instead of beating myself up for not being "productive" with my time.

Yes absolutely! When we are our own bosses, it's so easy to look at everyday as: What work have we finished today or what did we accomplish that made us closer to our goals. That way of thinking led me to a very selfish lonely life. Luckily I have amazing people in my life that are willing to put up with my crap and accept me trying to make a change. Thank you so much for watching.

You've been a true inspiration to me the past couple of years to just pursue a passion. I feel like the point is to connect and share your art but also your and others personal stories. You have the potential to be the next Yes Theory if you just keep pushing forward and believing you are worth a lot! Your film is beautiful and your connections with the world are real.

Wow thank you so much for saying that! The next YES Theory, I don't know about all that :) I like to just make videos whenever I want and not really feel like I have to post something to stay relevant. I'm so happy you take something away from the things I say. It's hard to constantly be inspired all the time. I have reached a breaking point. Just been taking it easy the last few weeks. Thanks again for watching. I hope all is well!

As a short film filmmaker, I can relate. And thanks for talking about these real topics. So much emotion, energy, time, money and sacrifice go into making even a short film. Sometimes I suffer from general anxiety and question what I am doing creatively. We are spiritual beings having a human experience and not the other way around. We are so much more than this meat suit we live in and what we put out there.... Lol!

Absolutely dude. It's alot. I think it's just something we have to deal with when we create certain projects unfortunately. I am to a place believe it or not where I have found peace with it.

Hey thank YOU so much for watching. It definitely is an amazing passion to follow. But with everything on life, has its ups and downs. With enough drive and energy, you will make your dreams come true. I know this for a fact. Thanks again.

I feel this man, it’s very easy to get stuck in ups and downs like this. But just keep pushing forward, and remember that it’s okay to take it easy when you need. Maybe a trip out to Utah will help 😜

I'm so glad you were able to resonate with it. We are all on this journey together. We all feel the same feelings. Most of us are ashamed of them. But it's what makes us human. Thank you so much for watching!

I really love this. Obviously, I'm catching it months later but it resonates with me nonetheless. As a fellow creative, it's such a tough road to sow alone. Beautiful work.

Thank you so much! At the time I didn't realize I had mold toxicity so that was a big factor also. But I was unhappy with my film and at the time didn't see the silver lining in what I had learned. Thank you so much for watching.

The funny part it is we don't care what people think, but...like... we do. I used to feel like it might be an "ego" thing, because everything you make, you want to show everyone and get "validation" or something. Until one day I realized, that it's maybe more a "sharing" thing. If you hear a funny joke, you can't wait to tell everyone about it to "spread the joy". And maybe it's something like that? Or maybe, it's our way of opening up about ourselves to other people. Also, congrats on your doc!

      @BryceDocherty  10 місяців тому +1

My man! It's definitely that. I need validation for my work. I didn't think I did. But people like yourself giving me kind words to keep going, relating to my personal journey. It shows I'm not alone and people care and are finding value in what I'm making. Thanks for giving this a gander.

Like I keep saying, keep on keeping on. You only fail when you stop trying. So never stop, never fail, and hopefully along the way, you'll find that validation you're looking for or find happiness on your own journey!

@WhySteve definitely!! And no matter if you get to your goal or not there will always be ups and downs. I had a hard time understanding that.

Hey man, randomly run into your channel.
Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and that is normal how you feel.
We live in a rollercoaster of emotions called life, sometimes up sometimes down. But as long as you remember you will be up when you feel down, everything will be ok.
Im starting a new series in my channel about commenting on videos/commercials. If you are down we could do one together.
    Cheers!

I think that hollow feeling comes from the saturated market of film makers and content creators.
