I like your shirt and new haircut! Good luck on your new job - that's so exciting! I like watching those same kind of videos. If the world ends, at least we'll have our favorite pens with us haha. I, too, like your watch because it doesn't look like a less-attractive activity tracker - great find. Thanks for sharing your special brand of awesome!
This is *exactly* why I like watching EDC videos. Even though I have zero interest in activity trackers, for instance, it's nice to see a general interest/requirement in watches and also tracking activities match up with a tool that does both of those things, and at the same time answer specific aesthetic criteria. Also, I'll have to try Tomoe River paper sometime.
hey, nice video! those brass sharpeners are cool, but i once read they come with a warning for containing lead in it (in Europe at least). I also like wood and magnesium sharpeners.
+mwilkersp I've heard the same, but I've also heard that a person will be exposed to more lead than is recommended just by handling their keys on a daily basis. Which, if that's true, is bad news for me since I'm always dealing with keys at my job. Oh well, might as well have fun before the lead poisoning kills me, right? :-P
Great EDC video ! For my Go Bag/Get Home Bag is the Maxpedition Textudo Laptop Backpack bag in non tactical sexy black. Tethered to the outside of the bag is an ID Retractable Tether for the Fox40 rape whistle (per UA-cam channel "Nutnfancy"). The bag fits a 17" or smaller laptop and the large inside pocket fits an AR500 soft Backpack Level IIIA Armor (for Gun Free Zones like schools or the VA). The bag has two outside pockets that have a Zebra F-701 pen modified to a Space Pen, Streamlight Stylus Pro to see inside the bag, a Swedish Fire Steel tethered to a large yellow plastic Hanson Pencil Sharpener from Home Depot to make tinder from a twig or Fatwood. The two outside pockets have Velcro to hold Moral Patches a subdue American Flag and an Owl Patch from TNP. On my person I carry a Maxpedition tactical pen (to break the side window of a car or buss to evade the zombies) that includes a Fisher Space Pen Refill and a Fenix PD32 LED flashlight that uses two CR123 batteries and both are great at collecting DNA samples. And upgrade your nice watch with a NATO watchband (James Bond wears one) and a name brand button compass like the Suunto from REI. And that nice bullet Pencil Sharpener may get you kicked out of school for a few days for having a weapon in a "Gun Free Zone"... (And YES I am on the EDC Pencil Sharpener band wagon !) The pen is mightier than the sword, (Any pen that takes a Fisher Space Pen Refill) Thank you for the great video ! tjl
Great video. I have a few questions regarding some of the items you showed off. What is the cover for the hobonichi called can you link me so i can purchase one? Also you should get the nock co sinclair i think you would love that if you like the look out. Lastly what color is that gray lamy safari and where can i get one?
+skycaptain141 Hello! Thanks for giving the vid a watch. The Hobonichi cover is the SSACK cover, and it is available in navy, pale blue, and the hot pink I have. Here's a link to the navy one, since I assume most people are not as into the bright colors as me: www.1101.com/store/techo/2016/planner/detail_cover/c_ssack_navy.html The Lamy is the "griso" grey and according to this blog post (kmpn.blogspot.com/2009/06/lamy-safari-special-editions.html) used to be a regular edition that was pulled. You can still find them, as I got mine at the DC pen show, but be prepared to pay a pretty penny - I think I spent $90 on mine and I haven't seen new or NOS ones for much less. As for the Sinclair, I plan to be all over that once I have a paycheck or two under my belt. :-)
So...I've been watching your knitting videos for about a year now and decided to go back and start from episode one. I found out that you like fountain pens (as do I. How can I not when Goulet Pens is local and I can place my orders online and then go pick them up for instant gratification?!) and came here from Episode 3. I too enjoy EDC videos though, as a stationary addict, I think my EDC for my pens are excessive (I legitimately have more than 10 fountain pens inked up at a time and they all get use throughout the week).
Awesome video! I love your EDC, mine is almost the same in terms of academia and stationary. The only additions I have are a lot of Engineering tools and stuff. :) Warm regards. DisabledPrepper
I love your enthusiasm!!!!!
Congratulations on getting the official, official job offer!
Tis better to "gush" over a pen you love, than to weep over one you do not enjoy and regret buying.

No fountain pen content until 20:03. You're welcome.
Very Cool EDC. Keep up the great work. Nick.
Thanks Purlbug! :)
