Definitely. But there doesn't appear to be a shortness in cards out there given how old they are. Always seem to see multiple cards of Jackie sell each month.
Glad you like them Dan! Yes, unfortunately there aren't. If not for the break during WWII, the decade of the 40s might be right up there with the 50s in terms of player cards and card designs.
Thanks for sharing, John. Jackie Robinson and Joe DiMaggio cards still dominate the list. The cards values are doing well for being around and over 80 years old.
Thanks Orlando! I'm always surprised at how many 48 Leaf and 49 Bowman copies sell each month. Definitely not rare cards, but still command high dollars.
Nice 1940's different players is good, how much is the 1940 Ted Williams worth in a 4? besides whats somebody willing to pay for it? how much is the 1940 Shoeless Joe Jackson go for in a 4? how is the 1948 Ruth worth in a 4? I think it's nice seeing different players.
Thanks Mark. Yeah I like switching to showing 10 different cards rather than duplicates. A 1940 Play Ball Williams in a PSA 4 sells for around $1,500. A 1940 Play Ball Joe Jackson in a PSA 4 sells for around $3,900. A 1948 Leaf Ruth in a PSA 4 sells for around $5,700.
Another awesome video
Thanks Ken!
Great recap, John! Good to see the '40s tracked. I loved seeing that Swell Jackie in particular. Many thanks!
Thanks John! Yeah that Swell Jackie is a cool card.
Great video John! Love those Joe D cards! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Darren! They are beauties aren't they!
1940’s, the forgotten decade of baseball cards. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the work you put into these lists, John. I can see that ‘48 Jackie just keep climbing in value. An iconic card
My pleasure Hugo! I enjoy doing them. Always find what some of those cards sell for fascinating. Way above my price range.
John I'm loving these Top 10 videos! The 1940's has some unique sets, and unfortunately due to WWII there aren't that many sets for the decade.

My pleasure Kevin! Definitely. For being that old there are certainly a good number still out there. Several Robinsons always seem to sell each month.
Great video, Jackie cards are still hot

I inherited the 1940 and 1941 color sets. In the process of having them graded.
Very nice! Those are cool cards. Hope they grade well!
