The definition of insanity is paying more than a car costs for a tiny picture of an unproven player. When this bubble bursts, it will make the housing bubble collapse look tame
In 1969 I owned a small stack of those Mays cards. My local candy store had a machine where you put in a nickel, pulled a lever, and out would come 5 current baseball cards. The machine was poorly designed and jammed all the time. One day I complained to the owner about losing money or getting beat up cards. He pointed me to a 500 count box in the back and told me to take whatever I wanted from the box. I mostly took Willie Mays cards. If only I had put them away...
Can you imagine the factory workers at Bowman back in 1950 or 51 when those cards were being printed, talking about each Mickey Mantle coming off the line like it was going to be worth a half a million dollars one day?? They just had no idea!
I always thought it was weird that PSA would sometimes sub-label cards that read, "The Dimitri Young Collection" or "Black Swamp Find." I mean I get the relevance behind why some of these cards sold for so much. But 30 yrs from now, people aren't going to care or remember about it and it'll just look funny attaching such an event to a PSA label.
Just stumbled across your channel and it's really good 👍. Plus I subscribe and just curious do you have any graded card's your self and what's your favorite player or year of card's to collect. The 1974 , 1976 , 1960, 1965 , 1972 , 1973 , and 1986 fleer basketball set. 1974 topps baseball psa 8-9 350 card's 1965 topps 125 psa 8,8.5 and 9 1973 topps 225 psa 8, 8.5 and 9 1972 topps 75 psa 8 only 1976 topps 100 psa 8 and 9 1960 topps 90 psa 7 only I've also just got started on 1969 topps baseball in psa 8 only have 10 card's but there only stars steve Carlton, tony perez, brooks robinson, jim palmer, rod carew, and I have a few morden card's but vintage baseball and basketball cards are my favorite ones to collect.
I have some 1940’s and 1950’s graded cards from some HOF’s wonder what they are worth and very low populations on all of them. I have books of football cards from the 1960’s wonder what I could get for them.
@@alexvalenzuela508 well the market is gonna crash soon anyways but I am sure I can get some money for all the HOF that I have that are almost mint from the 40’s to the 60’s
I mean like this particular "psa10 copy" since often times there are multiple sales of the same card in the same grade during a month. Hope this helps and thanks for watching Bill!
Great video as usual man after the first card is 57,000 and it's going up from there you know I can't buy anything on this list haha hope you're having a great day and thank you for sharing another great video
Looking for someone to assist me witch finding value for my card collection. Approximately 350 cards from early 60s to early 70s, plus another 500 or so from late 80s to early 90s.
Wow, I just noticed you hit 4K subscribers. That’s fantastic, congrats Steve. Keep it going!!! Really amazing list here. I found myself fixated on the Blyleven. The only 10 in population and it’s significantly off center 🤔. I think the buyer should break it out of the case and submit it to Beckett, SGC or HGA and see how it comes back 🤣. I absolutely love the the ‘69 Mays. So bright and sharp. Don’t see this card too often looking this good. The Bowman Mantle also is a real beauty. Thank you for sharing 😁
First of all, congrats on 4k subscribers! Love seeing these highest selling lists from the month! Wow, what a beautiful 1951 Bowman Mantle PSA 8 card! Thanks for sharing. Have a fantastic weekend!
Too bad nobody watching this will ever own one of these cards, or anything close to them value wise. Would have preferred to see information about cards that a normal, small time, average Joe collector would have in their collection. You put a lot of work into the video and I appreciate that. Just no interest in these very expensive cards that only the wealthy can afford. Good luck with your channel, I'll follow you for a bit to see what else you have to offer the hobby.
A Bert “be home”Blyleven sold for that much?😳Who’d thunk it
Makes no sense. Nolan Ryan should be above him.
