By the early 1860s, it had earned an international reputation for its beauty, attracting 500,000 visitors a year. Its popularity helped inspire the creation of public parks, including Central and Prospect parks. Green-Wood’s notable graves include Leonard Bernstein and Louis Comfort Tiffany. Andrew Garn is a native New Yorker, photographer and writer of 12 books. His work has been featured in scores of publications, including The New York Times, New York Magazine, National Geographic, and Wall Street Journal.
