Wonderful Movie! Thx for uploading it!
I never get tired of the MoMA. When I enter the MoMA, I never want to leave!
I cannot think of a greater artist than Van Gogh; when I see his paintings, I want to live.
have you seen any of Jean-Leon Geromes work?
@@eddiebernays514 Nah, I would not hang his painting in my place. Not all paintings talk to me like Van Gogh's.
He loved his works in such a way he went mad.
Let’s not exaggerate. I saw his “Gardener” at the National Gallery in Rome; It was beautiful, but there are countless other artists as beautiful. However, you can be obsessed with his work, if it “speaks” to you.
That makes two of us...
one of the best museums I've visited
I was fortunate to see MOMA! It was quite brilliant and revealing to see work of arts from peers!
I wish they're wasn't so many negative critiques about the art that is "questionable", or the curators who have worked long and hard to at least give us these wonderful buildings and the pieces of art that we are lucky enough to see right before us. When I see the beauty, the uniqueness, the sorrow, the tragedy, and yes, even the unexplainable, that is housed inside this magnificent building it only makes me want to cry in awe at what art can make us feel and what a gift it is from God. I feel nothing but inspired and grateful.

At the premier of Stravinski's Rite of Spring ballet in Paris, fistfights broke out in the audience. The general public was unprepared for the shift in consciousness artistic giants like Stravinski, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh and many more greats demanded. The public fought, revolted, struggled, banged their heads against the wall and eventually, over time....they even understood!
I have very much pleased to see the famous museums art around the world!!!
This is a fabulous survey. I will be showing this video to my art appreciation classes. Thank you.

Just awesome
Seus vídeos são fantásticos!!!! Já me inscrevi!!!
I visited MoMA in January 2020 to see the new expansion. The volume of the soaring spaces are artworks unto themselves.
On my previous visit, some years ago, a video installation by Pipilotti Rist filled the vast atrium. It was magical and ephemeral: One wanted to be wherever that imagery was filmed.
MoMA is the worlds best museum
Moma owner demolished best bldg in NY-american folk art museum for New moma extension. N.Y. architecture community is very SAD
Yes!
@tagzee Thanks very much. Best wishes on your dream coming true!
Wonderful
@admx94 Thanks for your observation and thanks for watching!
One these days, I going visited this museum.
MOMA paid $100. million for the painting at 4:22. Nobody looks at it. They just past it by to get to "Starry Night".
I was within 6 inches of "Starry Night" to look at it.
It looks like he painted it with colored paste. If you were to cut the picture in half, the paint is about a half an inch thick.
Great video!
Great!
Thank you
Excellent

I love curators and collectors telling civilians what to think and do
+Donnie Mrkacek on the other hand, this is also known as 'explaining'. scholarship and knowledge can be cool :-) cheers!
The meaning of the obelisk is that foundation has been shifted, meaning now unpragmatic, yet it still stands, and is thus the purest art.
Is it possible to find an exhibit from 1980 at the Metropolitan museum of art ? I am looking for the Artist who made ' Shadow Boxes of Daily American life '
Compmaturism sometimes explores that part of beauty which is covered in routine, craftsmanship, and speculation. Therefore, the eyes of many collectors are turned to the Compmaturism of the new trend in order to experience something truly.
it very great museum i like
Wish You had shown more sculpturs such as those of Rodin ( his Balzace in particula , the goat by Picasso .....

Out of all the things in the world to gripe about you choose modern art
Ui
its like the woman fits so well into the background. she's a part of the painting 4:02 haha
There are only a few people who can understand art. And I'm lucky to be one of them. Open minded, and try to think, there are much more than just 'splatters' on the wall. :) Sorry, I'm an art hoe and I'm loving it.
Want a cookie?🤣
@jimmylachouette Very nice. Thank you.
Am a sort of artist. Love museums. Joan Hoffmann
Great show up of
Barcelona has a beautiful Picasso Museum ! Maybe i's visible on UA-cam
A few words about Compmaturism. Today you can still get a few or a dozen good works by Compmaturists. In a few years it will be impossible, Some collectors already have 50 works of Compmaturism. The main destinations are Dubai, Hong Kong and London
The new addition addition to the infrastructure
Greetings to all of us lucky folks who can visit Moma at home or away! Please help me with information on the wheel at O.11. Thank you.
Step #1 : Get some proper lighting inside a room filled with painted walls and a chair.
Step #2 : Get someone to sit in the chair.
Step #3 : Film that person saying stuff calmly, Don't forget to use a close-up.
Pretend to know what the person is talking about and believe/accept what's coming out his/her mouth.
Come to Chicago.
super art
Thank you to start a day! Similar to Peggy, was Ford's mother
how many names of artist should you know?
So so much art in this world its almost sinful everywhere yah look there's something, someone, someplace there outta be a law against it.
8:38 what/who is that? 8:43 too. anyone know?
"Who Gets to Call it Art" is a great documentary about the beginnings of the modern artists movement in NYC, with great vintage film of NY and the struggling artists who would be shocked at the value of their art today.
There are some questionable artworks there, but how they got in depends on the board who decide what artworks are "significant enough" to be displayed in the same space occupied by giants such as Matisse and Warhol. These judges are trusted professionals and their lives and reputations depend on it. Ooooohhh, that's a lot of pressure. or maybe there is no pressure at all. They just get together, drink and pick among the countless artists/applicants/recommendations. Whew, no pressure at all!
When I see some of the new art in MoMa, they are all equally great, unique in the their own way. So how do we decide which art is better than the other one? Forget about the artist's background or connection, or the popularity, I am referring only to the visual appeal. Did Andy Warhol changed how we see art? Because anything can be art, even a q-tip swab.
Musium di Luar Negeri ...keren
Uno de los mejores zoologicos artisticos de este planeta; ojalaca pudieras acariciar las esculturas.
PERO, por que en una pelicula sobre arte, esta en formato visual de baja definicion tan anticuado?!!
i just watched all of that...
give yourself a gold star
i feel your pain
From south of France, îam interested to visit with you. No money to travel to New York. Merci
Van Gogh did do a piece or two at night, the Cafe comes to mind...
And night sky. Starry starry night.
Love Van Goch by the way.
@Ozzrya91 When I say all modern art I don't mean it chronologically. I thing H.R.Giger and possibly Dali respect the classical traditions to a great extent even though they lived after the 1940's debacle. It's about doing the work and not just doing some shit and talking a lot about it.
gold Marilyn a Painting? Same gold background as iconography?I suppose so in a very loose sense. I like a good bit of similar- but also keep in mind that if it could be done with little to no practice it is very similar to craft rather then fine art.
modern art with compmaturism Regards J.J Pokrak

2009 What have you done LATELY

Hello Great Museums, you have a nice UA-cam channel with nice documentaries and other content about museums. The same as our channel, Star Arts. You will probably enjoy working together, so I have shared your movies in a playlist on our channel and I hope you do the same for Star Arts ... Kind regards, keep up the good work!
@sandysandstorm I don't know, I guess art is whatever, I obviously wasn't in a very artful mood the day I made that post. I really don't like a lot of modern art, but you know the old saying about beauty being in the eye of the beholder.
53:35 More like "drinking the same Kool-Aid"!
It was actually flavor aid
@Ozzrya91 We're definitely no understanding each other. I insist that the Good, Truth and Beauty are not matters of opinion and do not change with the amount of people who believe or understand it. The Laws are imutable, and even if most people in the world should believe that a Picasso is beautiful and that Geocentrism is true, that wouldn't change the falseness of both statements.
