I can’t thank you enough for this review. It is so frustrating being a larger person trying to find help on products. I’m 220m and switched from pint to GT, its exactly what I;d hope for. I now love hills, and have ridden 25 miles on a charge. The concave has really reduced foot fatigue
I’m almost exactly the same weight and height and have been holding off on getting a Pint X because I thought I’d be too heavy and tall to ride comfortably. Happy I waited though. It seems like the GT is perfect for riders our size.
At 240lbs I agree with everything. I started with a Pint and I was always at the back just trying to keep up. I upgraded to the Plus and I could keep up but not comfortably. I was on that group ride with Kyle and with my GT I did lead the pack for a bit. Absolutely amazing feeling.
Thank you for your review! I turned 40 a few weeks ago and I'm on my way to lose some weight as I am currently around ~310lbs. I 6'2'' -220lb rider. Thank you so much for this review. I bought my GT as soon as I heard about a more powerful motor. I am still waiting for my GT board to arrive and was pleased to learn that GT should serve my needs. I already have Pint and XR, those often nose dive on uneven terrain or relatively steep hills. I would not even attempt to climb hills that Float Life guys do, that looks insane for my body weight.

So… I found that my GT nosedives at about 23.5mph on Flow. Don’t ask me how I found out, but it involved me being on the board, then NOT being on the board in less than half a second. Awesome board. I love it!
Great review. I bit the bullet and got the GT. It is my first onewheel and i have flipped it several times. If i were smaller I would've probably gotten the Pint since it can go on planes with you while the Pint X and GT cannot, but I'm at the limit of the GT as a 6'3 275 guy rocking US 14 shoes. I love this board and cannot wait until I'm comfortable riding it. FM really knocked it out of the park with this
@@indiemoto Nice. This coming from the guy that's in all the ads popping up on UA-cam for me right now!? Haha, you make it look real good man. REAL good. That looked like an epic weekend. I'm very excited. Thanks!
THANK YOU. I’m ~245lbs and so many reviewers seem to be 75-100lbs+ lighter than me, so I can only guesstimate how their experiences might translate to me. I’m not much interested in tricks, I just want a good carving and cruising machine. So this is the perspective I’m really looking for. I loved my XR but I sold it for the GT specifically for a more confident cruising speed, hopefully at around 15-17mph. And I’m REALLY starting to believe that the GT might really give this to me! The XR was great, but at my weight, I don’t dare to push it hard like some lighter folk do. I also hated that the pushback was so subtle on the XR. All I want is a confident and responsive Onewheel with noticible pushback. And the GT has me hopeful! Thanks for this video! I can’t wait for mine to arrive!!!
Good to hear, because I’m big as well around 220 and I’m tired of my XR sketching me on the smallest of bumps or weird transitions where it could nose dive. I had a pint and the torque was way better but I wanted the bigger platform. GT seems like the happy medium.
Not sure about the love hump because I have flat feet. I’ve heard it’s ideal for those with high arches. I really like the high kick pad though! Locks you in nicely.
Very good review. This perspective matches my experience on my GT. I rode it for an entire day and the muscles in my right leg have been sore for days. 😅 So if you’re a new rider, expect some fatigue in the calves and soreness because this is a workout.
Yeah it takes a while for those muscles to get built up. I remember back in 2018 when I started riding my feet would go numb. None of that anymore though! Thanks for watching!
I’m interested in one of these but I’ve never even had a skateboard Is it easy to learn? At 300lbs will it still work? Is it keyed somehow or are these easy for someone to steal? Thanks so much!
No keys. Just make sure you have it with you wherever you go. Store it under your desk or in a locker. You could get a lock and lock it to something but they do not do well sitting outside if it’s raining or in the cold. If you’re around 300 pounds the best bet is going to be a GTS for you. but most likely the rally edition so you get a 6 inch tire that is more comfortable.
@Carve Creative I'm sure shoes make the difference. I've always worn zero drop shoes that are thin and the heel area is sharp on the stock pads. My love hump will be here Monday but that doesn't fix the front pad. I might sand it today so it's not such a sharp edge
Thanks for the great review. Do you have any thoughts on the Pint X rider weight limit? I like the smaller size of the pint x for travel, but I am about 230 lbs.
Thanks man. I’m 230lbs and just got one. When I am on pavement I get wobbles around 12-15mph do you have any suggestions to prevent these? I have very little experience on skateboarding.
If this is your first board you just gotta keep riding. It takes anywhere from 200-500 miles to fully build up all those stabilizer muscles you’re not used to using yet. Also be mindful of your PSI. For that weight I would say around 17-19 should be good for you.
Hey Kyle, thanks for this video, im a big dude as well 6'1" - 205 lbs , so you definetly gave some really good review with this video, and also i really like your board, so can you tell what is your rails colors, and if you put a higher rear foot pad ? Thanks
Hey Kyle... My GT FINALLY arrived.!!! I am not a Onewheel pro, I'm just starting and You and I have pretty much the same weight, can I ask you what PSi you ride on?
What’s the average mileage you get with the GT? On my XR, weighing 195lbs, my average is 14 miles. That is of course if there is some downhill involved.
@@carvecreative That’s good to hear. There is a 7.4 mile out and back ride I do; the out portion is mostly uphill which consumes 60% and the back portion 16%. Massive disparity.😄

Thanks! We enjoyed your GT videos as well! Good vibes!
6’4” 245 - glad to hear! My GT is supposed to ship today. Let’s see if that happens.
That’s awesome! Let us know how you like it!
FM really knocked it out of the park with this
Glad you’re liking it!
Thanks for the positive vibes brother! Too much negativity out there. Stoked to get my Christmas gift soon : ) It'll be my first.
I’m pretty jealous your first time on a one wheel is going to be a GT… 🔥🔥🔥
It’s hard for me to be negative on this board! It’s kinda everything I wanted in the new onewheel!
@@indiemoto Nice. This coming from the guy that's in all the ads popping up on UA-cam for me right now!? Haha, you make it look real good man. REAL good. That looked like an epic weekend. I'm very excited. Thanks!
6"1 270 (mostly muscle😆) he hit every point I needed answers to. Thank you!
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching Dan!
This review is what I’ve been looking for. I’m in the same boat, 245ish. Nosedived on the XR once and it traumatized me, lol.
Yeah it’s a big improvement for bigger riders.
You bet! You’re gonna love this board! It’s made for folks like us!
Awesome video bro! Looks hella fun!
Thanks George!
Good to hear, because I’m big as well around 220 and I’m tired of my XR sketching me on the smallest of bumps or weird transitions where it could nose dive. I had a pint and the torque was way better but I wanted the bigger platform. GT seems like the happy medium.
You will have a lot more confidence with the GT! Those bumps and cracks that used to cause a surge do nothing.
Good one man. I am not heavy but I am tall with larger feet. I would love to hear comments on the love hump for larger feet.
Not sure about the love hump because I have flat feet. I’ve heard it’s ideal for those with high arches. I really like the high kick pad though! Locks you in nicely.
Thanks for this. I'm 6'2" 235 and you're right, most reviews are from a lot lighter riders. Subscribed.
Thanks for watching and subbing!! Plenty more to come!
Any reason why you don't have any videos of your experience on an EUC?
Honestly I just didn’t have any footage on the drive I was editing off of for this video.
I'm with ya man 257 here and xr gave me some trouble too
The added voltage was great. But the GTS is way better
What PSI where you running on stock treaded for street?
17
Yes! We need more big guy considerations.
Ive got size 48 shoes think its 14 in us sizes. Wondering how much foot space do you have? Are the feet hanging off the edges?
They will definitely hang off, but you can always get wider foot pads
Nice place to ride. Where is that?
West Bend, WI
@@carvecreative nice! I am near Lacrosse
Just be careful riding with fatigue
Great review! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
GT or XRC? I’m 245, would be my first OW.
No dude your perspective is most appreciated.thanks
Currently husky oneself
Thanks for checking out the video!
We are both at the same body weight and I am keeping the psi at 14 and it is smooth.
Nice! I’ll have to drop it down and check it out!
I’m interested in one of these but I’ve never even had a skateboard
Is it easy to learn? At 300lbs will it still work? Is it keyed somehow or are these easy for someone to steal? Thanks so much!
No keys. Just make sure you have it with you wherever you go. Store it under your desk or in a locker. You could get a lock and lock it to something but they do not do well sitting outside if it’s raining or in the cold.
If you’re around 300 pounds the best bet is going to be a GTS for you. but most likely the rally edition so you get a 6 inch tire that is more comfortable.
Is it possible to swap a tyre out? Or does it need connectors unplugging and thus bricking it like anything else electrical😢?? Have fun.ThankQ.TkEZ>UK
Unplugging the motor will not brick the board. Should be fine for a tire change once tires come out
jesus christ finally someone who isn't a dwarf rides this thing! i'm 6 foot 3 240 lbs so seeing this actually work for you is great.
😂
3:33 - what boot/shoe are you rocking?
Keen!
240lbs here and I'm loving the power. But the xr is more comfortable but the aftermarket will fix that. I hate the foot pads.
Oh really? I put the high pad on the back and I really like the footpads. Some foam griptape might help even more!
@Carve Creative I'm sure shoes make the difference. I've always worn zero drop shoes that are thin and the heel area is sharp on the stock pads. My love hump will be here Monday but that doesn't fix the front pad. I might sand it today so it's not such a sharp edge
Wonder how it’d handle a +300 rider? I see suggested weight limit of 275
I think it would handle you fine. Very steep hills maybe not so much but everything else you should be able to crush!
I’m sure you’ll get better range when it warms up. I’d get almost double on the XR. Great video. My GT ships in 3 weeks.
For sure! Can’t wait for some warmer weather!
Thanks for the great review. Do you have any thoughts on the Pint X rider weight limit? I like the smaller size of the pint x for travel, but I am about 230 lbs.
You’ll be fine at 230. I got 12 miles at 265 lbs and we went up a bunch of
Big hills.
@@carvecreative Awesome. Thank you for your help.
@@carvecreative thanks man!
How is foot fatigue with the GT?
I know some people don’t like the footpads but I really enjoy them. For me foot fatigue is less prevalent than it was on my XR with a flat front pad.
Have you checked for and noticed any overheating issues yet? As a bigger rider, this is my main concern
I haven’t had any overheating issues in my first 100 miles. It’s also been pretty chilly here in wisconsin.
What kind of helmet do you use?
The one in this video is a unit 1 helmet. I usually wear a thousand helmet.
What the hell! I made a cameo!!
💥💥💥
Hey Kyle, thanks for this video, im a big dude as well 6'1" - 205 lbs , so you definetly gave some really good review with this video, and also i really like your board, so can you tell what is your rails colors, and if you put a higher rear foot pad ? Thanks
Hey João! The rails are the “murdured” black color. And yeah I’m this video there’s the high kick footpad on there.
Hey Kyle... My GT FINALLY arrived.!!! I am not a Onewheel pro, I'm just starting and You and I have pretty much the same weight, can I ask you what PSi you ride on?
Never mind Kyle... I've rewatched the video, and you mentioned the PSi you ride on. (20psi). Thank you so much.!!
You bet Tiago! Hope you enjoy your new board!
What’s the average mileage you get with the GT? On my XR, weighing 195lbs, my average is 14 miles. That is of course if there is some downhill involved.
Around 20 miles is my average in normal temps
@@carvecreative That’s good to hear. There is a 7.4 mile out and back ride I do; the out portion is mostly uphill which consumes 60% and the back portion 16%. Massive disparity.😄
