Appreciate it! And yea, I always wanted to attempt it, but was not only scared for myself, but scared of damaging anything with my accident prone GT lol. The new Hub/Tire combo gave me the courage to try finally...
Just installed my MTE/655 last night... Looks like I'm not the only one choosing to upgrade their existing board instead of trading in for GTS (GET THE SHOT) when it also requires half a grand just to set it up the way I like. Especially since they go against the community when they increase the hub size instead up leading the community by decreasing the GT hub by half an inch.
That setup eats up a lot! Awesome video. Who the freak came up with that 6.5 inch rim design. This 5 inch hub rips!!! Just a shame that you have to slap so many aftermarket parts on that GT to make it enjoyable. Keep shredding mate! 🔥
Thanks for tuning in @@ThatsGinterEV ! Enjoy your vids as well. Would love to see some more dedicated onewheel photographers as you in the community. We're lacking cool picture documentation in the scène. Love to see how you pull that off on your own. What remote do you use for the camera?
You always have the best shots, best videos, best editing and the best creativity in putting all those together out of all the onewheel videos that I've ever watched so far. With your consistent great videos and creativity, you never ceases to amaze me and that's why I love watching your video content and creativity every time. 👏👏👏
Great video, as per always. Even without Mikey 😂 Nice landing on that table drop. I haven't had the courage to do that yet, even with my 5" hub boards. 😅😮 I'm waiting on the n52 for my GT-S, and the 5" Street Pro that TFL is a few weeks out from releasing for my Low Rider board. Those will be a couple of fun projects to bang out. I'll also be getting the lights upgrade to take advantage of the RGB capabilities.
Lol, thanks...I almost had an idea for a skit with him, but didn't have time in this one. Can't wait to hear your thoughts with N52 on the GT-S! You always have amazing builds! 🤙🏼
Great set up! I'm running this on my GT: Mte 5" hub n52 mags Street pro tire (soft) 17 psi Wtf rails Drop top fender Float blocks Landsurf fangs GT (so great) 4mm foam grip front+back Kush wide rear foot pad
25% wow, that sounds high! I feel like I might have lost a few miles, but not that much! I think that since I'm on the lighter side, I'm less effected by the change. But yea, I'm not usually using all my battery, so it's an acceptable loss for most of my rides.
@@ThatsGinterEV I weight 90kg so it is like 198 pounds. I guess it depends on tire compound, i took soft compound, mid compound could be better for the range. And tire pressure is like 15-17 PSI, so not that low. It was big surprise with the tire and also big disappointment. Before i was riding hoosier treaded. Now with my girlfriend we are switching boards, she is 120 pounds and the difference after miles is not that big. She has hoosier too.
Man, I knew you going to pull that sweet deal in to be the real chunkmaster! 😅 Which bearings you went with? I was looking forward for the deal but with the N52 magnets which unfortunately excluded from the deal. Maybe next time. Also love the easter egg with those new bang bumpers showing up. Love that new camo colour. Great choice! You should do a video with those ones. I am using the FM ones from the same material and def a lot more slippery when touching down.
Haha, yea, I saw the combo deal and was like....ffffffffff, I have to 😆. I went with the steel bearings...just saw a few negative things on the ceramics (probably one-offs), but never had issues with steel, so why not. But yea, N48 for me. I was already climbing some of the steeper/chunky spots out in the desert on the stock hub/tire setup, where some heavier GT-S riders still couldn't, which means it's mostly my weight and maybe a little technique. But I'd still be curious to try someone's N52 setup to see if I even notice the torque. And ya...the wait on GT BANGS, whew...that was a long one!
@@ThatsGinterEV Man you going to enjoy the Bangs I can already tell especially how many normal bumpers you are going through.. these made from that material last soooo much longer. Good shout about the steel bearings might get those as well when I am getting the 5inch. And keep making Onewheel content.. you are one of my favourite creator from vibe/details/visuals point of view!
I couldn't resist that deal either! I went with almost the same combo, but I went with the mid compound. The soft wears out too quickly for me. That bonk thumbnail turned out great! What firmware are you running?
I am very interested in Your thoughts on the 655 mid rubber compound tire and a 5 inch MTE would you say it’s good suspension still for 170pound rider? I currently ride the FF Goat (10psi)on my GT Which feels like a mid compound. Tried the Enduro soft compound But wore out too quick
Yeah me too, I have another GT and can't stand the haptic buzz. I like to ride right around 20 so it would be buzzing constantly. It's a shame because the new firmware has some good features, but until you can disable the buzz and level the board I'm sticking with 6109. Keep up the great videos, I always enjoy your content!
Let me get back to you on that, I just installed mine Saturday and haven't really had a chance to test it out. Also I never tried the GOAT so I couldn't do a direct comparison, but I'll let you know once I have the PSI dialed in and test it out on some trails.
This is a tough call. I like both, the Enduro is a great hybrid tire that is agile and holds an edge, but I did feel more stable on the FM Performance Treaded tire due to it's wider profile. Keep in mind, if you do use/buy the MTE 5" hub, the FM Performance tire will not fit!
How is the stability and carving of the 655 vs FM Performance Treaded? I was thinking about getting the 655 but not on MTE hub because they’re out of stock and I use the maghandle daily 😅.
dude! that was a sick first table drop. great editing as always

Damn, thank you so much for the kind words!! A lot of effort goes into it all, so it's always appreciated hearing this. ❤️🙏🏼
So dope Mr, Ginter ✊ That board is so clean. Your bonking skills still shine ⭐️
Much love Jay! 😁

Speaking of suspension, killguards sells aftermarket onewheel suspension, i would love to see a review one day!
Great set up!
I'm running this on my GT:
Mte 5" hub n52 mags
Street pro tire (soft) 17 psi
Wtf rails
Drop top fender
Float blocks
Landsurf fangs GT (so great)
4mm foam grip front+back
Kush wide rear foot pad
Killer setup!!
I like that setup. You said the float blocks are a new MTE-specific version? I don’t think I see it on their site.
Thx. Ya, they are made to fit the 5" hub. Here they are: thefloatlife.com/products/float-blocks-gt-compatible?variant=44592329818334
Great video dude! Def one of my favorites to listen to
Appreciate it Floaty! 🤙🏼
Looks sick! How is the range with 555 and enduro tire? I'm just wondering , my Soft compound on Enduro XR decreased range like about 25 %.

Yea, I hope the soft holds up...time will tell. And I'm on the pre-haptic buzz firmware still... 😅

👍👍
How do you access the valve stem with those fins on?
It's a little tight, but can easily be swiveled out to still air up or down whenever needed. Just remember to swivel it back in!!
You going to do the float wheel drop in kit??
It's on the radar...especially if my board keeps breaking. I actually got to briefly try a prototype at Let It Ride last month 🤙🏼
@@ThatsGinterEV nice! I just passed 1,000 miles so warrantees up. Going to put it on if reviews are good
Sadly they're out of everything but the 42 hubs with no ETA for re-stock. Was told "at least a couple months," DOH!
Aww damn… 😭
Do you recommend the enduro or the fm performance treaded?
This is a tough call. I like both, the Enduro is a great hybrid tire that is agile and holds an edge, but I did feel more stable on the FM Performance Treaded tire due to it's wider profile. Keep in mind, if you do use/buy the MTE 5" hub, the FM Performance tire will not fit!
👍👍
Why did you choose the 655 vs 555 ?
I got used to the wideness of the FM Performance Treaded tire and the 655 is wider than the 555, thus more stable.
How is the stability and carving of the 655 vs FM Performance Treaded? I was thinking about getting the 655 but not on MTE hub because they’re out of stock and I use the maghandle daily 😅.
145-150 lbs? 🤯 I feel weight shamed.
my bad...😅
