These videos are tempting me to consider a used 997 Gen 2 as replacement for my current daily driver

Great video Raj! The Gen2 is such a good car. I can imagine the Gen1 video being a little bit longer ;-)

Thanks Lee! Gen1 would be a bit more in depth, the alternator/starter power cable in the engine bay, oil leaks etc! Cheers, Raj

Are there better parts than oem/original porsche parts? I mean better quality, better material, maybe some type of reinforcement so they last longer? If yes, what are the main makers/brands of such a parts for porsche?
Would you also suggest undercarriage rust treatment for those in winter climates with a lot of salt on the road? I am talking when bottom is sprayed with those special oils, that usually last 5 years or so. p.s. great content overall, thanks for sharing your wisdom.

The Porsche parts are generally great, everything has a useful life span, different climates can cause quicker deterioration of certain items. ACF50 is a great product for the underside, easy to apply and clean off if necessary! All the best, Raj

I won't comment on cars for sale elsewhere sadly. Good luck, Raj

I know its on a part by part basis but at how many miles do most of these parts you mention fail or need replacing.

Some may factors impact how long these last unfortunately, hard to say for sure mileage/age wise. Storage plays a part, ambient temperature, humidity, driving style, bumps in the road, etc. Thanks, Raj
