Don't the boxsters have a hard time cooling down in the summer? I live in the UAE where we usually average from 45 deg C to 52 during the summer. And is the road noise in the boxster with the top up louder than the cayman?

You're a good looking fellow and I don't mind the camera angle pointed towards the driver seat when you're speaking on car specs, however adding an angle towards the road would add a level of immersion to the video that is currently missing. Also the viewer has no indication as to what the panoramic sunroof looks like from the cabin. Great video and tons of information that you provide from memory which is impressive!

Have you seen many of the 3.6L with the bore scoring issue?

I am buying a loaded 911 Turbo S with the glass sun roof and the burmester. It is all just personal preference. Some people don't give a dam about a sun roof or music. I want those options....

So 997 is no good because of bore scoring? And it’s expensive to fix? I have a 997.1 130K miles . I sadly didn’t know any of this. But are all 997 no good to buy because of this issue which will likely show up?

I did it today due to notice a wet floor om the driver side. A bit scary in the beginning but the excellent video made it perfecty doable. 😊And Yes, drain clogged, I revomoved debris, water pored out.. This could have gone really bad the next rainy day. . (BS2014)

i love the stitch option selected on that GTS... it was so common to spec the GTS with the Red Stitching... the dash looks better without the colour change like the gt4 has with the yellow stitch on the dash... Grey stitch option is the most rare colourway on the 981, i love how subtle it is.. i think the GTS will age so nicely, future classic for sure!

Where is the Jack and tire iron?

There are a lot of benefits to PCCB and Carbon Ceramic discs, less dust, more consistent pedal, reduced unsprung weight as you say, but really heavy race track use is not one of them. At the sort of temperatures you can generate on a track, if you really drive the car to it's limits, ceramic brakes will oxidise, and they will be headed for the trash bin very quickly. I spoke to AP about running a carbon ceramic setup on a track car (a Nissan GTR) and their advice was "Don't even consider it. You'll destroy them." and I fitted AP iron rotors instead. The GT3 series race cars run iron discs too. Ferrari Challenge cars have to run carbon ceramic brakes by regulation, and the top teams throw them away every 2nd event. Tens of thousands in the bin every couple of months... 😬

The PCCB brakes and pads are made by Porsche? Or is it Brembo?

Another plus with PCCBs you get nearly no brake dust, wheels are basicly always clean! 🥳 One down side, be careful when it is absolutely raining cats and it is below 7 degrees. When you haven't used the brakes for some time while driving in these conditions braking power will be reduced in the first second.

Thanks for your video on this subject and explaining it so well. It’s probably not something I will have to deal with but I now understand these brakes a lot better and how they work. I haven’t seen anyone else explain this

Great insight which lots of dealership don’t even know…in Porsche Doncaster, Spiros only know color..the rest he didn’t have any clue. Should not be working for Porsche.

Buy a manual. No matter what you tell yourself, buy a manual. Period, full stop. I convinced myself that a manual wasn't a deal breaker and wound up buying a base 981 PDK only to have the transmission shit itself 8 months later. Been in the shop for nearly a month. I'm a little under $7k into it already and they still haven't figured out what the problem is. Apparently all those VERY expensive modules, sensors, control widgets etc can and do fail pretty often. Absolutely fuck that transmission. FUCK it straight to hell. Edit: Also, buy the S or GTS. Spend the extra couple bucks and just do it. Other than that, LOVE the car. Drives fantastic, looks like a million bucks, nothing but smiles for miles.
