Haha, this is the best question yet, I forget how many times I glued my fingers together making this pen, I did have lots of glue on my fingers after, it flakes off your fingers after a while so I just leave it, nothing I've got affects it to remove it, thanks for watching 😁
Hi Joe, it took me a good few days to make this one but I was filming making it so lots of moving the camera around, I guess it took me about 4-5 hours of making to get the blank ready, it also took a good few hours to work out how to get exactly 500 segments into a pen blank and end up being pen sized, I hope you have a go at one, do you turn rings on a lathe?

Very elegant. The only complaint is that I, in the gluing phase, would try to perfectly smooth the various parts of the composition, seeking perfection. Congratulations.
Definitely try it, it's not expensive to get a lathe and some pen kits, the lathe I use is worth £60 and pen kits are less than £2, please try it out, they are fun and easy to start with!

@@JamesGarwood music is fine in both but the saw noise is very faint in the right. Not just my headphones, I tested 2 different headphones and another device.

Is it certain type of glue you use ?
The spray is accelerator the CA glue, it makes it set quicker, the glue I use is called bond-it CA glue and accelerator

Acetone should do it if you're unwilling to wait, but it's not good for you to use very often.

I have made a few pens using a drill instead of a lathe, not much difference but it's a bit harder to do
