Freddie's final song he sang on. He was too sick to finish the song, and died before it was finished . So Brian finished the vocals . Freddie is one if the great singers ever.

@Lightbringer I am sbsolutely telling you it was mother love. It's a well known fact. A winter's tale was the last song he wrote but mother love were the last vocal sessions. He never went back. I can prove what I say, can you?

  • @midnightrose2127

Brian said "Freddie said 'I can't do anymore today, I'll come back and finish it later.' And he never did." Freddie's last recorded word was "Love."
Brian did a beautiful job on the last verse.
Roger or Brian once said that the saddest part was that he died with music still in him. Broke my heart. I can't imagine what these last few songs were doing to the other three.

As you probably realise this was released long after Freddie’s death and Brian had to sing the last verse cos Freddie said he would finish another day but of course that day never came. This was his last recording 😢. You really need to go to earlier times for the next Queen .. you’ve tackled 2 very hard to hear songs reacted to in one day ... well done 🌺

After you hear the vocal improvisation Freddie did at Wembley it transitions into every song that Queen ever recorded but rapidly sped up then Freddie singing Going Back. That showed the birth, death of the band and Freddie leaving the planet the for good. I don't get emotional at many songs but the sound of the of the baby crying at the end really breaks makes me tear up.

I remember hearing Freddie had passed away. For me, it hit me like lightning. He had only told the world of his diagnosis the day before. I cried off & on for who knows how long . So much of Queen’s music was & still is like an anthem. At our local football games they still play “We Will Rock You”, “Another One Bites the Dust” & “We Are The Champions.” If it isn’t over the loud speaker or the marching band playing one of them. I still cry every time I hear this song. At the time he passed away HIV/AIDS was so new, at least it was in the small town I grew up in. Heart breaking that we lost him so soon but how grateful we should be for what he left us with, his heart and soul in his music. What a beautiful gift.

Mother Love is by far my favorite Queen song Because of the fact that it's Freddie's last ever vocals. Hell he didn't even finish the song because he passed away so Brian added the last verse which is his famous 'Ayo' and every single queen song ever made played at super speed finishing at last with a verse from Queen's version of 'Going Back'. I love this song. So sad 😞

His mum (Jer) didn’t die until Nov 13 2016 and his dad died 2003 so they both went through the pain of losing their child . In October’92 I lost my best friend, in October ‘93 another one, in August’94 another. All to AIDS. I helped care for the last 2 and was with them when they died. People who weren’t there when AIDS took so many shining souls from this world can’t understand how horrible it is to watch friends in the prime of their lives waste away and die. Girl you can make us all cry. Besides Freddie's great talent. I think social he changed lots. His irony to macho men, as they song his songs in all major sport events. With two of the great iconic songs the sporting world" we are the champions" "we will rock you". Gay man singing to macho men, very ironic. Hey pulled down barriers. You should do some prince? One reminds me of the other. Not sure why, no comparison. Except for talent, possibly femininity.

Also Kevin Peter Hall who played Predator and the Helicopter pilot in Predator movie1987, died around Freddie (1990 and 1991) but he was infected by AIDS in the hospital by some mistake of stupid doctors!

Another one that pulls at the emotions is ..James Blunt "Monsters"

Jon Garratt James Blunt “Monsters” video and song is by far the most emotional one I’ve ever seen. There are many that move me to tears but that one breaks me into ugly crying. It’s just too relatable 🥺

Watch I’m Simply Going Mad by Queen! Freddie was very sick when it was made however he had such a sense of humour! He really wanted to do it with his band mates.

You started with the last, and certainly the saddest song Freddie sang. Try starting back at the beginning. Keep Yourself Alive was their first. Or check their live recording from Live Aid.

There was a woman in Freddie's life that they reckoned he would have married if things had gone differently, I think the outcome was that he ended up getting friend-zoned.

Jonathan Maybury she did not “friend-zone” him... she kindly understood and supported him when he came to terms with his true sexuality. They had been engaged when he broke it off with her. Still, she stayed by his side as life-long, deeply trusted, much beloved friend... their love transcended mere sex.
