Freddie never looked back. He always looked forward. You can't change the past. The Zoroastrian faith, his family's historical religion, saw life as a celebration. The tenants are Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds. Freddie squeezed a lot of life into his 45 years. More than most people could even dream about.

HI GUYS... THANK YOU for such a beautiful reaction in Memory of our Beloved Freddie.
FYI, the LAST song that Freddie did sing, was "Mother's Love". He actually was so ill, that he was unable to finish the song: You will hear that the first two verses are sung by Freddie, and then the last verse will be sung by Brian May.... It is BEAUTIFUL.

Awesome reaction! You guys really need to check out Innuendo as well, ua-cam.com/video/g2N0TkfrQhY/v-deo.html, it is from this same album. Freddie's voice did lose some power at this time, but he could sing higher then ever just before death. This is not a positive song, it is about accepting the inevitable. You cannot escape death. This song was really Brian's way of coming to terms with the fact that Freddie will soon be dead. Brian wasn't just losing someone who he knew for over 20 years, Queen was also losing a large part of their career. At this stage Queen had hit singles and top selling albums for almost 20 years. They were still highly successful, the song Innuendo instantly shot to no.1 on the charts when it was released. (The title song of this album) Queen was still very much apart of the game and competing with all of the other top artists. That was over when Freddie died, he was the main songwriter.
At this stage Freddie had already long ago made peace with the fact that he was dying. It was the rest of the band that needed to accept it. The song is really about putting in one last effort, you already know what the outcome will be but through great grit and determination you put in one last effect before you have to accept your fate. This is not a triumphant song, there is noting to overcome or gain at the end. This is just about putting in that one last final effort before death.
Please check out Now I am Here live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1979 ua-cam.com/video/pkkFKUmFJ70/v-deo.html. For a more rocking performance.

Queen is also featured on the soundtrack to the movies "Highlander" (which you see a glimpse of it in this video with lightning striking) & "Iron Eagle" 👍 Can't wait for the next one, Who Wants to Live Forever & One Vision go with these movies, just sayin' 😉

The sound track to the movie "Hightlander" was made by Queen. There is only a handful of songs but the group released them on the "It's a King of Magic." Yes, the Iron Eagle song did a Queen song in the movie but that was not the only movie. In the 1990's Wayne's World played Bohemian Rhapsody; the production company wanted to pull the song but Mike Myers said he would quit the movie if they did and the song reached #1 again upon the release of the movie. In the biopic of Queen Bohemian Rhapsody Mike Myers makes a cameo in it; he plays the record exec that refused to release the song due to the length of the it. There is a little trivia for you.

Thanks for this reaction. Remembering Freddie is always emotional. Be it sorrow, joy, excitement, pleasure, wonder, awe, passion. But like you said his talents most probably wouldn’t have been truely appreciated all these year and in all the years to come without Roger, Brian and John. Brian wrote this song in a way to prepare himself and the band for what was coming. As things got worse, Freddie told Rog, Bri and John to just keep writing that’s why they were able to release their last album after he’d left us. They still have a catalog of his music but keeping it on Freddie’s wishes. They loved him so much and he loved them. Take the love we feel for him as fans and then imagine actually being his best friends and working with him. John couldn’t go on; Brian was so depressed he was suicidal. I believe most Queen fans take comfort that one Freddie’s dreams came true. He’s not a superstar, he’s a LEGEND. 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛. Take care guys.

Freddie is truly the greatest vocalist and performer! So emotional watching the video. It hits hard seeing everything they accomplished together as a band and how Freddie’s life ended way too soon. It’s difficult to reconcile the man in this video versus the man ravaged by this terrible disease. His determination & bravery are as legendary as his musical legacy. Great reaction. No one compares to Freddie!

Thanks for honoring Freddie on this day, so sad for all of us who lost him, this genius, this amazing human being, so kind, gentle, and yet energetic on stage. But for him was the end of all the pain and suffering.
Life goes on, but a lot poorer without him.💖💖💖👑👑👑🎤🌟🌟🌟

For the sake of accuracy, the album was released Oct' 14, 1991 & Freddie died Nov' 24, 1991. He recorded this a little less than a year before he died. Mother Love was the very last vocals he attempted in May 1991, but he only got halfway through before telling them he had to rest & would return to complete it, but sadly Brian had to do the rest of the vocals as Freddie was not able to return to the studio after that.

I love Queen! Freddy Mercury was the best, no questions asked. It is so tragic that he is no longer with us. Just think of all of the music we could have had if he had lived on. This is such an emotional song since it directly relates to his struggles and impending death. It always stirs up such emotion when I listen to it. Surprisingly enough there is only one other person that can sing this and I also get get the same emotional feeling. It is a young 14yr old that sounds like a mature adult that has been singing for decades. already. She has somehow got to be channeling Freddy Mercury on this because she just totally gets it, even at her young age. Queen loved her cover on this as well. She also did Bohemium Rhapsody in AGT Champions Where again, Queen really loved. They loved it so much they downloaded it onto their site. She will be a superstar..legend even. If you would like to hear the female “Freddy Mercury” cover of this, then you should listen to Angelina Jordan. She doesn’t try to change it, try to insert her own “special talents”. She always respects the music that she covers to pay honor to the original....you would be very moved and pleased if you do. In the beginning she has a mask over face then right before she starts singing she takes it away. She is wearing black as well and at the end she fades to black as she always done when she does a tribute. It is truly beautiful. Here is the link for your convenience ua-cam.com/video/6NJv02ot5jg/v-deo.html. She has over 1 million on views on her channel. If you like her she also has another song that she did when was 9yrs old that is called “I put a spell on you”. . ua-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/v-deo.html. It is a heavy duty jazz/rock song...it has had (8+ million just on her page) of view and gives you a sliver of a glimpse of her versatility. She is a singer with a thousand voice...not in a joking way but in a way that adapts to whatever song that she chooses to sing. She sings multiple genre’s. She is the most if not one of the most versatile singers that is out there. She sings songs that she has carefully chosen that span decades..starting from the 50’s to present. From Musical, country, pop, classical, jazz, jazz and more jazz, rock....you cannot put her into a lane...she covers multiple lanes. She is from Norway and is a beautiful spirit who has a voice that is hypnotic as well as soulful.
She is already known internationally but she is breaking into the U.S. Market now. She a great fan base there already but will now become mainstream..She just got signed by Republic Records who has signed mega stars already. They gave her #1 prior then for new Artist and also gave her some creative control. She has shown her aptitude for writing and arranging..plus jus her singing. Record companies have been after her for years but her family wanted her to get older and they want the “right” kind of contract. So Republic Records came thru. She has a huge fan base that jumps to reactors when they find out that they are reacting to Angelina’s songs and have added thousands of subscribers to their channel...we are dedicated....LOL!!!!!!!!
