My absolute favorite Queen song ❤❤❤ Brian May wrote the song. He could barely stand up when recording it and they were wondering if he was gonna be able to do it. Freddie said "I'll fucking do it, darling" downed some vodka and just killed it. Amazing. The very last song he sang was Mother Love btw. He didn't have time to finish it, so Brian had to sing the last verse.
Awesome reaction! You guys really need to check out Innuendo as well, ua-cam.com/video/g2N0TkfrQhY/v-deo.html, it is from this same album. Freddie's voice did lose some power at this time, but he could sing higher then ever just before death. This is not a positive song, it is about accepting the inevitable. You cannot escape death. This song was really Brian's way of coming to terms with the fact that Freddie will soon be dead. Brian wasn't just losing someone who he knew for over 20 years, Queen was also losing a large part of their career. At this stage Queen had hit singles and top selling albums for almost 20 years. They were still highly successful, the song Innuendo instantly shot to no.1 on the charts when it was released. (The title song of this album) Queen was still very much apart of the game and competing with all of the other top artists. That was over when Freddie died, he was the main songwriter. At this stage Freddie had already long ago made peace with the fact that he was dying. It was the rest of the band that needed to accept it. The song is really about putting in one last effort, you already know what the outcome will be but through great grit and determination you put in one last effect before you have to accept your fate. This is not a triumphant song, there is noting to overcome or gain at the end. This is just about putting in that one last final effort before death. Their last beautiful emotional songs were combination of Freddie's amazing voice sang the songs very emotionally n Brian's amazing solo guitar. What a great rock band!! First time I heard their songs from the tape recorder of my brothers' when I was 6 ini 1976. When I was in high school I bought some of their greatest hits albums. When my 9 years old nephew heard them, he became the band fan too
'These are the days of our Lives' was when Freddie was sick... but he said he wanted to sing as many songs as he could before he passed. I'm not sure what songs he actually did, but he started on 'Mother Love' and that was the song he couldn't finish. Brian sings the last part of it. I was 20 when he passed (I remember exactly where I was at the time I found out) and I spent a lot of melancholy nights crying while listening to the Innuendo Album.
Thanks for the shout out guys, great tribute to one al the all time greats not just of rock music but any form of music, Freddie transcended all genres RIP Freddie you really were a Killer Queen
Many people will point to Bohemian Rhapsody as Queen's best song but I actually think that this is their finest composition. The way it just builds and builds to a crescendo is just genius. Take a bow Dr Brian May, the boy done good.
Freddie is truly the greatest vocalist and performer! So emotional watching the video. It hits hard seeing everything they accomplished together as a band and how Freddie’s life ended way too soon. It’s difficult to reconcile the man in this video versus the man ravaged by this terrible disease. His determination & bravery are as legendary as his musical legacy. Great reaction. No one compares to Freddie!
His last song was "Mother's Love" he sang the verses but could not finish it in the studio in Montreux Switzerland. He told Brian May you can do the melody later,I don't have enough time to wait for it,few months later he died.
He was always trying to change peoples perception of our existence in this illusion we call life or "The Show". It has to go on with or without us all. Love your reactions.
I love the look on your faces, pure love, I just joined from your last reaction on Bho Rap song, and I couldn't get over how effected you both were, thank you for showing such love to Queen, you guys are the best
HI GUYS... THANK YOU for such a beautiful reaction in Memory of our Beloved Freddie. FYI, the LAST song that Freddie did sing, was "Mother's Love". He actually was so ill, that he was unable to finish the song: You will hear that the first two verses are sung by Freddie, and then the last verse will be sung by Brian May.... It is BEAUTIFUL.
Thanks for honoring Freddie on this day, so sad for all of us who lost him, this genius, this amazing human being, so kind, gentle, and yet energetic on stage. But for him was the end of all the pain and suffering. Life goes on, but a lot poorer without him.💖💖💖👑👑👑🎤🌟🌟🌟
Queen has a new single coming out in September which has Freddies vocals on it.. It is from old tapes they found but at the time discarded because they didn't think it was good enough. I can't wait to hear it x
I'm not sure if there is a video for this song, but Mother Love is an amazing song. I'm lead to believe that he never got to finish the song, and Brian May sang the last verse instead. Amazing and emotional song
Queen is also featured on the soundtrack to the movies "Highlander" (which you see a glimpse of it in this video with lightning striking) & "Iron Eagle" 👍 Can't wait for the next one, Who Wants to Live Forever & One Vision go with these movies, just sayin' 😉
The sound track to the movie "Hightlander" was made by Queen. There is only a handful of songs but the group released them on the "It's a King of Magic." Yes, the Iron Eagle song did a Queen song in the movie but that was not the only movie. In the 1990's Wayne's World played Bohemian Rhapsody; the production company wanted to pull the song but Mike Myers said he would quit the movie if they did and the song reached #1 again upon the release of the movie. In the biopic of Queen Bohemian Rhapsody Mike Myers makes a cameo in it; he plays the record exec that refused to release the song due to the length of the it. There is a little trivia for you.
Thanks for this reaction. Remembering Freddie is always emotional. Be it sorrow, joy, excitement, pleasure, wonder, awe, passion. But like you said his talents most probably wouldn’t have been truely appreciated all these year and in all the years to come without Roger, Brian and John. Brian wrote this song in a way to prepare himself and the band for what was coming. As things got worse, Freddie told Rog, Bri and John to just keep writing that’s why they were able to release their last album after he’d left us. They still have a catalog of his music but keeping it on Freddie’s wishes. They loved him so much and he loved them. Take the love we feel for him as fans and then imagine actually being his best friends and working with him. John couldn’t go on; Brian was so depressed he was suicidal. I believe most Queen fans take comfort that one Freddie’s dreams came true. He’s not a superstar, he’s a LEGEND. 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛. Take care guys.
R.I.P. Freddie Mercury! He was one of a kind! He's gone, but the music is always there!! Great reaction, guys!! and... For the next time... Skip the onions, my eyes can't handle it... 😭

When my 9 years old nephew heard them, he became the band fan too
utterly insane. Talent these days could never.
The legend carries on, there music will live forever
You two are absolutely brilliant for your words about Freddie, he still lives in all his fan's. Freddie still goes on. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased! The show must go on!
This is real music and Queen is real legends.
He will live forever in his music ... i would like to see your reaction to Freddie singing Barcelona ..love you guys
Queen ~ "Killer Queen" is Absolutely Killer....!
Non esiterà mai un cantante migliore di Freddie Mercury.......forever freddie😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
Ce mec était vraiment incroyable, le vrai sens du mot Unique
the man had a 3-4 octave range and is a natural Baritone. he was extraordinary
This is music. This is legend.
It is BEAUTIFUL.
mother love
He came to us as a superstar and went away slowly, with humility and in silence and then he became the legend.
Oh,what we are missing in not having Freddie with us. Such a horrendous loss. Thank you for your input. Many share the same feelings about Freddie.
😪 miss him so much incredible
Mother Love was Freddie Mercury's last song! Whenever I hear Freddie Mercury sing it brings tears to my eyes. R.I.P. Freddie 🌹
R.I.P. Freddie Mercury! He was one of a kind! He's gone, but the music is always there!! Great reaction, guys!!
and... For the next time... Skip the onions, my eyes can't handle it... 😭
