Nice video. I've heard it could be done, but honestly I don't see too many people case-swapping SFF Optiplexes. I think this is actually the first video I've seen someone DO it. Decent choice of video card, though it might be a little on the weak side when paired with 8th gen, Maxwell is still an acceptable choice in 2024. 17:07 I'm confused, if you cut the jumper doesn't that make it null and void? What's the point here? Also, isn't there a chassis intrusion switch? My 4th-gen (3020) has one. Does the 8th/9th gen model not bother with that? I mean, it's not a big deal, and you could ignore messages about it.
Thanks, I appreciate you watching. The GTX 970 graphics card may not be adequate for the CPU in question. A GTX 1660 graphics card would be a more suitable option. Thank you very much, and I appreciate you watching. As long as you put a jumper cap on, it will not show. 17:03 Also, the reason I cut it is so that the PC doesn't turn on by itself.
Hello,Since i am new to computers, can i ask you a few help questions? Firstly, after i install the dell motherboard, will i need a adapter or anything to connect it to the power supply or the pc case/fans? Second, will i get any errors? Third , do i just plug in the power cable in the pins?
Yes, you will need power adapters if you are using a different power supply. You will need a 6-pin to 24-pin adapter. As for fans, it's better to have a case that comes with a fan hub or controller. For the front panel, you will need to connect the 2 USBs to USB 3.0 ports. To avoid getting an error during boot, you have to jump the power pins like I did in the video. I recommend re-watching the video because I explained everything in detail. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I appreciate you watching
