Let me know if you wanna sell that board 😂
lol
What do you do for buying power supply cables for those that don’t come with any? I let a ton of power supply’s sit even if they are a good price because I don’t know how to get cables and I don’t wanna burn any components up as a budget builder.
If it doesn’t come with any cables, I don’t recommend buying it because it will definitely be a fire hazard. It happened to me in the past. Great choice for not buying them 👍🏾
Insane
Yes, that was a lifetime deal. I still can't believe it.
I love videos like this, liked and subscribed 👌
Thank you very much! and I appreciate you watching.
In my opinion, there should be at least 16GB ram in a 400 dollar Pc
Certainly, but if I did that, it wouldn't be a $100 PC.
Not bad at all! If you get a bit more budget to work with, get some cable extensions for your clips so it should look good without sacrificing performance and will sell better
Thanks, I appreciate it. When that PC sells, I will definitely use cable extensions on the next PC.
I was looking at that the Optiplex 3050 itslike 250$ but if I can't transplant into another case I don't want it.
For $250 I recommend a Dell Precision T3630. It's case swap able and way better than an optiplex.
that wattage is scary ngl
Yes, these CPUs were not efficient at all, but pretty good for everything else.
my 4960x cant hit 4.0Ghz in game i use motherboard x79G china
$100 challenge! Lets GOOOOOOO. I love building $100 gaming PCs. It is harder than people think!
Yeah, man! It's the toughest of all the price points.
My friend has the older haswell one, the 8700, and im upgrading it to an rx 480, 500 gb ssd, 16 gb ram, and a xeon e3 1241 v3 (i7-4771 equiv). Should be a pretty good pc for him.
That's cool and it's very easy to case swap it too.
@@ZeRDTechGamingyeah, they’re pretty nice machines I prefer to keep these in it’s original case but that’s just me.
I think this is the only one video that explains that, perfectly.
keep it up bro ! keep going !!!!!!
@@NO7AM Thanks! I appreciate it.
Also consider using a another computer you don't need and make it into a NAS storage.
Your external HD can be opened it's just a 2.5 drive inside just plug it in a port.
Sadly this one is like a Sata SSD it's built-in.
Did you keep this one for yourself? Good find!
Yes, I’m keeping this one for now, and I have big plans for it for future content.
Nice video! 12gb ram is composed of 8gb+4gb?
Thanks! I appreciate you watching. Yes, older desktop computers used to come with 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB. I ran into a couple of OEM PCs that had 2GB and 4GB.
Nice and simple. For IO shield, you can do the measurements and design one in csd software to print on a 3d printer. None the less a good one.
Thanks, and I appreciate you watching. That's a great idea. I'm planning to get a 3D printer and one that's beginner-friendly.
i tried doing this and everything was going well until i tried playing games and the pc shutdown. Im using a Rx580 sapphire pulse, i tested it with another card (r7 350) and everything works well but when i put the rx580 it justs turns off 10 ~ 20s after booting a game, Does anyone have an idea why this happens? Looking online it said that the pcie conector is limited to 55w on these SFF PCs but im not sure if that the issue I know the rx580 works because i can use it on other PCs, the power supply im using is a EVGA 750 GQ
This sounds like a power supply issue or the graphics card itself. Also, what's the wattage of the PSU? Also, try reseating your RAM sticks to see if there's anything wrong with them.
You should be able to extract the drive from that WD enclosure and recover your files. It is just going to be a standard laptop HDD in there. I've done it before. If you don't have one, get yourself a HDD dock. 1:26 These are hardly the only reasons an old system might not power on. You'd be surprised how many free old PCs I've gotten that just had a broken power switch or the switch connector had come loose from the header. It can happen. They aren't positively retained so over time, with repeated heat cycles, they can literally work their way right off the header. I wouldn't use a leaf blower to dust out a PC but that's just me. You can literally blow a small surface mount component right off a PCB if you have enough force. 1GB VRAM is useless these days and even 2GB cards struggle in a lot of esports titles. Art of rally is way too resource heavy for the graphics it produces. Yeah, it runs but not all that well. Good thing this PC came with a 4790. Haswell and above can run Windows 11 24H2 thanks to AVX2 instruction set. While prior versions of 11 would run on older hardware, I just mistakenly grabbed the 24H2 flash drive last night and installed it on a 3rd gen system. It installed but threw all manner of BSODs on initial startup. I thought I had received a faulty CPU until I looked at the flash drive and realized my mistake. Also, it is a waste of time to build a budget esports rig with an old non-HT i5. You will sacrifice a lot of performance, even on the Quadro K2200 (4GB 750Ti) I'm putting in an ultra budget machine right now. Cyberpunk was more playable with a 3570 than CS2. I don't really 'flip' PCs. I build budget PCs and sell them on Jawa. I could never do a $100 build because I don't have a good local market. People expect to get $200 for the PC you bought for $40. I am fond of those Asus H81M boards. Last one I bought was around $25. You can get them cheap on eBay. I usually use S series CPUs though because they are cheaper and use substantially less power while performing about the same. It is a way of keeping power draw down on a cheap PSU. You should have been fine with the original 350W PSU. Could have saved the CM 700W one for a build that actually needed it. A 1070 maxes out at around 150W and the 4790 might draw 70W max. ACBel makes decent OEM PSUs and even if the person buying it decided to OC the GPU, they would likely be fine. Of course, I would test all this before sending it out the door. Keep in mind if you sell on Jawa, you have to calculate their cut. If you want to get $150 for it, you need to take that number and divide by 0.865 to get the price you have to list it for. You definitely want to use Jawa shipping for the shipping insurance but you have to know the exact dimensions and weight when you list so you have to pack it up and weight and measure the box. Also, you don't really want to list it at a price that would get you the money you want, you want to give yourself some room to make some price cuts. Making a price cut of at least 6% after the listing has been up for more than 48 hours will cause your PC to be shown more in online advertising. Also, please don't list a PC on Jawa unless you have properly stress tested it for hours. Jawa has a decent reputation as a place to buy solid PCs for budget prices. If you decide to sell on the platform, you should help uphold those standards. Another thing to consider is that it is rare to get a decent 700W PSU for $2. Some of the deals you have gotten are great. But keep in mind that is not the norm and it isn't nice to severely undercut your competition with pricing that is unsustainable in the long run. You'd be undercutting yourself too because if you start selling there regularly, you can't just rely on random unicorn deals because you can't guarantee you'll always be able to get them. Make sure to review other listings to see what is a reasonable price to list the PC based on specs. Also, keep in mind the market is kinda stagnant right now and you may have to wait awhile for it to sell on Jawa, especially as a new seller. I sold my first item on Jawa about 18 months ago - a GPU. I am only just at the point I have enough positive feedback to stand out.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately, that drive is like a SATA SSD, not a 2.5 HDD. I was hoping for it to be 2.5, but no. Yeah, Jawa seems a bit hard to sell there.
you should be able to buy an external caddy fro amazon etc and just swao the drive into a new caddy
I tried, but when I took it apart, I realized this one is like a SATA SSD; it's built-in. I was really hoping for a 2.5" drive inside, but not this one.
Well done! Excited to see where this goes so I can try to flip as well!
Thanks, and I appreciate you watching. Yes, it's going to be fun.
Great video mate!
Thanks and I appreciate you watching.
Moving files around between computers physically can be risky, i've experience corrupted files and broken disks doing it, that's why built a home server and all the computers and tablets in my house are connected to it . I always recommend people share files through their network
@thegr8destroyer Thanks, that's a great idea. I will definitely build a home server. Lol, now I'll definitely need more hard drives.
It all depends on how you do it. If you buy cheap drives, it is a lot easier for files to get corrupted. You could just as easily get a corrupted file transferring from a RAID 10 NAS. Anyway, it must be something you're doing because I've been transferring files from one machine to another in various ways for 3 decades and I've maybe experienced file corruption a handful of times. And I think most of those times happened back in the '90s with cheap, used floppy disks. You don't 'move' files to a backup drive. You copy them and then verify the files copied correctly and then delete them from the source. This is very easy to do with video because Windows won't be able to show a proper preview thumbnail if the file is corrupted.
@@Lurch-Bot it was something I experienced once. But that was enough for me to learn my lesson. Of course I’ve used disks to transfer large files like movies and my music library since I’m a Dj. But the convenience of a home serve cannot be understated. It is very convenient. Specially because if you do it right, you can access it anywhere in the world without having to carry HDD’s around.
@@ZeRDTechGaming I built an 11TB fully redundant NAS for around $180 for the used HGST enterprise drives. I used components I already had to finish out the NAS. I do some content creation and you definitely run out of storage space fast.

Great video! I have a question about the jumper you cut. When you cut it does it no longer connect the 2 pins that the jumper is attached to? If so what purpose does it have anymore? Please clarify. Thanks and keep up this great channel!! I have s similar Dell motherboard and want to do the same to mine! Take care.
Thanks, I appreciate you watching. Regarding the jumper cap, it's not required, but if you want to bypass the annoying Dell alert, like "Power Button Cable failure," then it's a great option. Also, cutting the jumper cap will prevent the PC from turning on by itself.
For any other question or help. I recently created a Discord server discord.gg/bE6wZtX4Ug
Greetings! Will it work with the 9010 SFF?
Hi, I appreciate you watching. The 9010 is even easier because you don't need a 6pin to 24pin for the motherboard also the only thing is the dell female 4pin to a regular 4pin pwm fan
@@ZeRDTechGaming thanks so much
by the way, I subscribed to your channel. If by any chance in the future you work on a dell 9010 I would love to see you post it to see it visually.

That GPU card is good but the 2gb just cutting it close. If just a couple or more GB.
Yeah, it would have been a very decent card if it 96bit bus and 4GB. Great thing it still plays games.
Did you use fsr? Do you think with a gtx1050ti 4gb I'll be able to run the game smoothly? What is the cpu??
Yes, you can at 1080p low settings. Also, it depends on the game. Black Myth, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, and Starfield will be hard to run, but with FSR, you might get decent FPS.
I got a gaming pc for 240 euros on ebay With a Ryzen 5 3400g 16gb ddr4 gtx1050ti 4gb 1tb hdd I also had to buy the keyboard, ssd and monitor 😅 so all of it came at around 340-50 euros

absolute hero for figuring out the jumper cap thing bro you just saved like 30k people money
Thanks ❤
capacitors can hold quite a lot of power. there has to be something wrong on the software side, or a non detrimental short somewhere on the board.
I was thinking about the samething and the fan is still spinning as we speak 😀
@@ZeRDTechGamingwhat if you unplug the fan and plug it back in?
If the power supply is off that means no power to the board meaning there is no power to cause a short circuit and the power supply being turned off rules out software and anything but a capacitor issue
It only stops if I unplug the fan of the motherboard.
The green PCB 🤮
keep up the good work 👍🏾
