BTW. To find the dates (In this case the upper case letters of A-D will represent the quarter of months the year it was produced) very likely on the front or bottom by the Coleman label of the stove. Then you will have another pair (usually on their own) of numbers which represent the year. The letters examples are as follows A = Jan - March, B = Apr - June, C = July - Sept, D = Oct - Dec.
i have one i restored last year its a 1951 found in a yard sale did some research found out some of these where used in koraen war my dad served 3 year there that make's it kinda special to me
It is amazing how so many people think all of these stoves are just “for parts only” and it’s just an extra 2 hours worth of time to clean them up and literally sell them for twice the price they could originally get for them.
Love watching these type of video’s. Im watching this on my lunch break. Blessings brother working nights is getting old. Hope all is well on your side.
good day Sir cool videos cleaned generator out spring still stuck is it still possible to buy whole assembly still its a 1948 single burner. seems 500-289 are not available any more . is there a substitute generator from another stove maybe?
What is your elevation there ? I’m at 4500’. Where I go camping it is around 9600’. Water boils faster and at lower temperatures at these elevations . I am trying to find one of those older stoves such as this one you have . I bought a Colman stove 425 B at a thrift store in great shape $ 4,00. All it needed was oil on the leather cup and it’s 50 yrs old. Works just like new !!! I have fixed a total of 10 stoves now thanks to your videos , keep them coming JJ2000
I'm around 4700 ft of elevation. I love reading comments like this one where people have benefited from my videos. It makes me feel good to help people. Blessings from Arizona
