When Aurora and Silja start singing their siren song near the end, my eyes literally roll back in my head. It's one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.

As you touched on, Aurora's greatest superpower is her freedom to completely be herself, without the restrictions most of us put on ourselves, because we're worried about being judged. That authenticity (along with the voice, of course), is what draws so many of her fans in. There is nothing fake about her.
And you talked about how interesting it would be to spend some time with her. Judging by how interesting and captivating she is in all her interviews, you're not wrong. I watch pretty much every interview from her, and I don't do that with any other artist. I just find her interviews (and documentaries) as fascinating as her performances.
I really like the way you listen to the whole song uninterrupted before analyzing it. Great insight and respect for the artist.

You asked about how we interpret the song. I can't help but feel like the relationship ended very badly... she sings about not remembering what happened "that day", about falling and a blood soaked ground "is the earth colored red, as I land like a flower on the meadow" and then at the end "I will return from the shadows, and I'll bleed in your bed, turn it red, like the ground outside your window". To me, it feels like she was killed and is coming back to haunt him as a ghost.

I would bet good money that Aurora misses having Silja backing her.
The haunting singing tells the story from how it was experienced by the victim. The story itself is a vehicle to bring those feelings across. Therefor the combination of the two parts multiply the emotion. excessively

To me this is a song is about humans poisonous relationship to mother nature. We fell from the sky, like stardust, into her (mother nature) arms, her warm embrace. Then we used her and abused her which we could, because of her love for life. And we continuously hurt her, never even noticing that she is silently screaming .. until she breaks down, and kill us because she has to, because of her love for life itself . Her Love is Wild.
If you want ethreal from her do try her "Sternestoff" (Stardust). That it is in Norwegian just enhances it.

Her backup vocalist is Silja Sol and she’s been in Aurora’s band for years, but she quit three years ago to pursue her own career. She’s highly missed❤️
Even though Aurora says that people can interpret the songs the way they want, she do have inspirations.
This song was inspired by domestic violence, she gets killed and in the end she comes back to haunt him.
So this isn’t anything she’s been through personally, she rarely write songs about herself🥰

Lillm6874 and oldperson you 2 have really found each other from a long distance. But I now agree with lillm's suggestion. Both songs are beautiful. There are so many beautiful songs by Aurora out there, but this two are a good suggestion.😊
