aside from the mint chipper that job really really could have been with a forwarder or a timber lorry and a couple of climbers, I mean they had to close the road anyway. Still I guess that's why the uk exports climbers. Mind you I saw some contractors taking down a row of big poplars on the edge of a road with a komatsu harvester then skidding it into the woods on the side, didn't even stop traffic, two minutes per 35m tree.
I am not used to any of this jumped up gardening stuff, I am however conscious that I never said there was anything wrong, I was just idling away the hours by pointing out that it could have been done for less.
+Mark Baker Hi, Some very cool gadgets, but in this case no one seems to realise the machine has a saw, though it is making short work of those stumps. It really bugs me these guys have been given the most dangerous machines, the chain saw when they would be better off with a broom, no training necessary with a broom? - and even though fitted with them neither seem to use the eye protection, and why is one walking around with the perfect saw catcher, - the undone shirt, someone should remind him it is safety that matters, and they are not on a catwalk showing off.
Hi And thanks for the upload. Really great video on how NOT to use a chain saw! What are these two guys Gypsies going from one site to the next looking for a days work? It is not only funny but stupidly dangerous and I as a site Manager in the not so distant past have stopped this kind of ‘Oh its Wednesday it must be davids turn with saw, even though he has just one are and no legs from previous Wednesdays!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The machine driver is making i pretty good job at cutting the stumps but safety rules are not part of his mind-set either. These logs will not be done in one day so that leaves them there over not for the kids to play with and on, climbing with have these tumbling all over the place and good luck to any kids who do not get trapped.

nothing wrong with the way they did it, just not the way you're used to, I suppose.
