Learned this song in Nov. of 2016. So sad. We need it now more than ever. 2024 might be the swan song of Democracy in the USA. And if you've never lived in, nor visited any country ruled by a tin-horn dictator, you probably don't even realize what you've got. I've been thrown in jail twice in foreign countries without much probable cause: the first time (in my youth) for LOOKING like what they thought a USA pot-smoking hippie would look like (can you say profiling?) and the second time just simply for being a foreigner in the wrong place at the wrong time. Both times I lucked out by (a) speaking perfect Spanish and (b) requesting the USA embassy and making it seem like I was buddies with the diplomats.
