you have what is called a good taste and discernment. not to take away too much from today's artists, but they for the most part don't have the vocal talents these people had. one big reason is the technology, in particular, "auto-tune" . even people who can't sing a note just run their voice thru auto tune it straightens out the bad notes. the problem is, you never actually learn to really sing. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Nat Cole...jsut to name the big ones, were true masters who will never be surpassed.

Beautiful. No one can come close to Nat King Cole. He really was the King. When he started playing piano professionally, one night the singer didn't show up. The club owner told him he'd have to sing. He said he couldn't sing and the owner said just try it tonight. And the rest is history.

My husband asked me if I’d like to learn how to dance, not the other way around. We danced ballroom, Latin and Jive for 30 yrs til his Alzheimer’s and my balance stopped us, but the memories and the rhythm is still there. 😊
