Hi there,i bought one and installed it,great unit,the only issue i have is there's a steep incline in volume between level 8 to 9..i can live with it but if there's a setting for that I'd love to change it..does yours do this too?
I've had this unit for six months now and it's very good with zero issues, Xtrons is one of the better Chinese manufacturers, would recommend it to anyone considering this unit.
completely agree, one of the best brands for the reliability point of view, especially when you go for the higher spec ones

nice video, i'm looking to get this unit, but with the wireless CarPlay dongle so that it seamlessly syncs up to my phone right away. Did you consider getting the dongle? I had a chat with XTRON customer support today (who tbh didn't really seem to understand what I was asking, or that the unit didn't have wireless CarPlay already) and they told me the dongle is £75, but i really want to know if it starts up with CarPlay right away of if you need to press some buttons.
Also, how do you find the unit sits in the bracket, and the HVAC controls. I was looking at getting a HVAC relocation kit but they are v expensive (£100+) so wondering if you think its worth it.

Great video! Does your e46 have the Harmon Kardon sound system? If so, we’re there any issues when you connected the new head unit?
Thanks mate, glad you liked it. And no mine has the stock system but I would assume that this would still be pretty much plug and play as if I am not mistaken most of the headunit connections on the E46 with the HK system still use the same harnesses etc so should be easy to do the install still.
I reallyblove the look, but the software is ugly and can you get the irritating beep off?
The software is fine but I would like it to be more fancy. Yep the beep is removable 😅
Can't you put a simcard on the radio? To have 2G/3G/4G mobile data. Thanks for the video.

This unit is garbage.
Why is that? Was good to me when I had it 😅
May be just my unit. I have the android 11 version and often times the previous version ie.. 10 will work better than the newer one. My unit constantly freezes at the boot screen and stays stuck on the bmw logo. I wad provided a firmware update but it never would update. Ended having to do a complete factory reset, wiped clean. My eonon android 10 unit works way better than this upgrade. Considered putting it back in. However, may just wait, starting to see the android 12 units starting to appear.
