Nice presentation. One comment though. The GPS sensor should be placed on the dashboard in a horizontal position facing forward. The way you mounted it vertically on the windshield wound not work. That’s why when you turned on the car, the orientation is constantly changing from E to N to S to W, …..
Great job! I'm doing one but as a lady. 😂 im so happy you didn't need a volt checker. The other videos make it seem so complicated. I do have an equinox so mine is different because i have to remove the pannels with a bolt twister thing.

You wired the camera reverse wire to the backup lights, without going into reverse to activate the rear view camera how can/does the rear view mirror see what’s behind you while driving forward? Thanks great vid btw!

The rear camera shows traffic directly behind my right side as if it's the left side of me even though it's the right rear side of me. How do I fix it?
Use the mirror screen function to correct the issue

@JD Answers thank you! Does ADAS and BDS work simultaneously when either front or back cam are displayed? Also can the ADAS be just an alert tone or does it have to give a speech announcement?
But what everybody cares about and what everybody wants to know is, when hardwired can this detect somebody walking around the car and start recording from both cameras?
Hardwire is simply a power source that enables the dash cam to detect the movement.

Great video. What if I don't use the T-tap connectors? Do I just cut the red light wire, strip both ends and wire them to the rear cam wire? I know the T-taps make the installation easier, but I don't have them and don't want to wait for them to install the cam. Thanks.
My installation is only a tutorial for individuals with little or no experience in automotive wiring. I'm sure your installation will be sufficient.
This is one of the best installation videos I have come across. To the point and yet detailed enough and makes one confident in doing the job.
Have been thinking of getting a P12 Pro unit and this video is helpful.
Question: In the P12 instructions it states to make sure that the GPS unit should have the GPS side pointing up. Did the GPS work with it being stuck backwards on the windshield?

Hello, I have the 12" Mirror strapped to my existing mirror and it's to heavy. After driving for a few minutes, I noticed my mirror can not support the weight of the smart mirror. Is there any aftermarket braces or brackets that could l help??

The Pelsee P12 was easy to install, took less than 90 minutes on a Nissan Xterra, and the performance of the product is beyond are wildest expectations.
The most difficult part was in the driver's side rear in fishing the wire through the weatherized protector and connecting to the backside of the rubber wiring seal to the backup light. The rear camera was installed inside and from the top portion of the glass. The rear camera works very well.
Performance is flawless, and is "transparent". When triggered, the in the mirror display is very bright. License plates are easy to read.
Calibration for backup zones and monitoring blind space wasn't that difficult. I highly recommend this well engineered and fully thought out product. Be certain to buy a spare SM memory card and USB reader. I bought the 'C' thumb SM reader for my Android phone where I have the Pelsee app. for video review.

Hello, my dash cam was working but for some reason, i unplugged and plugged again and now is not turning on, not with the cable c i got, but if i use a cable c to c it works wonder why
My only reasons is that the cablesl wires inside the wire might have lost connection inside the wire. Contact the company support for a new cable. I had a small issue with my dash cam and they were able to help me with the issue with no problems.

I have one the rear cam is powered by the main unit (via some kind of headphone jack), it has a trigger wire but no ground - is this at risk of shorting out the reverse light? Thanks!
No, It will not short the reverse light. I had rear dash cam that are connected to my reverse lights for 4 years and I have had no issues.
Will the backup camera work without using the hardwire kit?
Yes, the hardwire kit is only if you want to use the parking monitoring

Is there an extension wire for rear camara for a truck

When I set my time in the settings menu and go back to the home menu, the time not right. Can you help me out with this one
Is it always a certain time amount difference. For example a hou difference no matter what time you set it

Can you use this with a mirror that has buttons on the bottom?
The dash cam covers the rearview mirror. Look at the video and it should show you how much of the rearview mirror is covered. Then you can probably tell if you will be able to see and use the buttons of your rearview mirror.
What do you do to hookup the rear camera on a truck?
I would utilize the license plate to install the camera. Then I will probably go underneath the bed of the truck to run the wires. I never done a dash cam installation on a truck yet. Hopefully soon.

Just contact Pelsee and they will send you the cable.
Does it record rear view when driving.
Yes, it records the front and back camera at the same time. There will be 2 separate files. One file for the front camera and another file for the rear camera.
What is the AWG for the T Tap?
I use the red T taps, which are 18 to 22 AWG
