So in the original japanese dub, Light translates the title on the notebook "Death Note" to the japanese translation, hence that odd line "as in a notebook of death."
Probably one of the best starting anime to go with and one of my personal favorites. I do appreciate you watching the dub as its very good in my opinion, which is more than i can say for most dubs. That being said you should choose another closed caption option since the one you had on was more of a translation from Japanese instead of a proper caption of the dub. Also watch out for spoilers since there are some idiots out ther who dont care about them and just shout them out. Cant wait for the next episode. See you then.

I was shocked how you allowed the entire opening song to play and didnt get any copyright strikes. I would be careful to not try that with other animes tho. You could enjoy the opening and ending songs on ur own but leave them out of the final video release to avoid copyright strikes. Common practice among anime reactors

Or as an alternative we can watch you listen to the opening songs but the songs will be muted to the audience. If you can have that set up
