Im loving this build and its OEM plus look. One suggestion for it, you should try to add some tint to it. Nothing crazy, just something to help with the sunlight and keep the car cool when parking it outside. I bet that would make it looks great and it would be a great and its an easy upgrade. Not to mention, if you mess up, you can take it off and try again.
I actually had tint on last my last ek, it ended up being too dark and hard to see at night. But it looked awesome. I’ll give it some thought, appreciate the suggestion
You should try adding power windows to this thing, definitely an upgrade worth having
ngl I kinda like the old school scrollers, but would be nice for the passenger side 😂

It's a great build and another great Bendaga video. I hear snaking that hood release cable really sucks. That is why I never replaced it in my 95 Civic. I have a new, OEM cable in my garage and you're welcome to it. Oh, but I am in Boston.

Awesome! My idle issues (fluctuating up and down) came from the a/c compressor going out. Didn’t notice until I changed my fans under the hood.
When the a/c was off, the idling issues weren’t there.
great point. honestly dont know if my compressor is going out, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised lol
Ah yes the good old idle air control valve issue. Very very prominent on 96-00 civics including mine lol
Also we twinning, we both got the d16y7 hehe
these older civics love to have idle issues. my car has some on and off idle issues, sometimes when i’m in neutral my rpm will drop to 300-400.

That hood hinge broke on my 1999 civic ex coupe when I got the car years ago. I drove it that way with pliers I kept in the car. I had to open the hood often to add oil to the engine. I bought the car with the oil burning problem. It’s a common thing for that hood pull to break.
Love your car. I got a stock red 96 CX hatch, drives great but the body looks terrible haha.

My 91 Integra is an auto (I know😔) but the car dies in drive and reverse when I try to idle and I replaced the iacv and the fast idle valve, throttle body, tps, etc and it still acts like this and I have to drive with one foot on the gas and another on the brakes just to keep the car at an idle. I already calibrated the tps but I heard somewhere that I have to reset the minimum idle but idk how to do that. Any tips?
yo i gotta try this i replaced the iacv on my 96 civic coupe and im still having trouble with the rpm needle bouncing wish me luck!
Also with the steering wheel, look for an s2000 steering wheel, they feel amazing

I have these exact idle symptoms with my 2000 Toyota Celica GT M/T. I have access to everything needed to clean my IACV on my own. My only concern is the Throttle Body itself. At 8:27, those pipes/holes/whatever they're called on the IACV, did any Coolant come out of those when taking off the hoses?
I know these are two completely different cars, but the issue might be the same.
It def would be worth taking the throttlw body off and taking a look. Yep that was coolant that circulates through for cooling purposes. Hope this helps

Any feedback on the coilovers? Most likely going to buy those for a budget drift build.
On the previous models people often complained about leaks after short times, hopefully those new ones last a lot longer.
I've been impressed so far with the T7's. Car would get skippy in the rear when at max stiffness. After dialing it back and making it a little softer in the rear, it helped a lot on track. Rides good for how low you can go. Dailyable. Stock is def more comfortable, but nowhere as near as responsive.

If you just need the bare necessities via a diagnostic tool, then you’re right. But I will say that this one has an extensive amount of features. But it’s def not for everyone
