- Check engine light, now what? I was in the market for a simple, fast, and easy to use code reader. Instead of using a large two-way reader or relying on a dongle bluetoothed to my phone, I wanted a small, inexpensive reader to keep in the daily driver. The HT300 hits all of those points as well as displays live data like speed, RPMs, spark advance, etc. The reader can also be paired to an app that will help you diagnose codes that may be present. Just wanted to share since I picked it up, and if you're in the market for a "keep it handy" reader, this one worked out great.

Just got one today can't wait to use it
I bought the HT300 at Walmart today. Yes it does work. Thank you very much 🙏
Great to hear!
Awesome video, dude! I just purchased one of these myself 😁
Glad you enjoyed it. For how cheap, I was surprised how many features it has.
Good video my man I actually bought one before watching but wanted a walk through too see all the options and this was perfect 👍
Glad it helped. 👍
On the directions, it says don’t start your vehicle but on your video yours is running
@jeffyoung3528 you can read and clear the codes with the engine off. For the real time data it needs to be running.
Great review I bought one today thank u !
I'm glad it helped.
Does it clear engine light
It does thank you
@@markgreeley37 yes it does

$39.99 at my Walmart I got one yesterday.
Damn brotha mine was only 20!
I have used it works great
@@henrygibson1530 nice
Thing is great I paid 20 bucks for mine 23 after tax add mine for about a year and it's done me right the funniest I didn't know it did all that maybe I should read owners manual from now on LOL
$20 is a steal. For a cheap walmart scanner, it has quite a few features. Good score.
You likely bought the HT100 model and not the HT300 model.
I got one last night from Walmart hoping it will work with my car battery is completely dead, will it work
No, your battery needs to have a charge for it to read the cars computer.
Ok thank you 😊
So what was the flashing red light?
After you clear all codes some systems, like evap, have to cycle and run for an extended period before the pcm determines if it's working properly. It is stating it's not ready or reading
Have you figured out how to get trans temp on it?
I believe what is displayed is all it has. I have not found a menu to be able to change which parameter it reads.
If you use the app you get a lot more features that’s just what’s on the tool itself 👍
Can it clear the check engine light?
Yes, it can. It clears the trouble codes, and if the problem is fixed, it will stay off.
emissions testers can see if the code has been cleared
@novacane219 Correct, you need to drive for another good 30 min after clearing codes before it will give an all-clear on emission test. If you clear a code and go straight to a test center, it will show the pcm isn't ready for a test. Thanks for bringing that up 👍
Will it clear srs airbag light and tell you where the problem is located ?
@sooner1148 no an airbag light would need a scanner like a snap on, launch, etc. This is emission or engine trouble codes only.
Could you leave the link of the app to use it with the cell phone?
In your app store look up repairsolutions2
@@macsboneyardbuilds If I searched for it, and only "car scanner" appears, with the checkengine error logo
@mickyquiroga3517 no, it's by Innova Electronics. Has a gear with a number 2 in the middle. repairsolutions.com/
Can it read recently deleted codes?
Not that I have found. It does show when a system is not ready/recently cleared. If you or someone else goes in and clears all codes, all emissions systems will show red in color. Once it runs and is driven, it will slowly start to check them, and if it's working properly, they will turn green. If something is still not fixed or corrected, it will stay red and throw the MIL light again.
