I used it to remove silly evap codes . Worked fine. My screen looks more clear than yours 🤷🏼 You should go over the basics of how to use this. Just an idea . The documentation is poor with them . All I wanted it for was to erase my code so I could pass inspection without paying $400 to some garage for fixing my emissions or whatever other bs they need to fix in order for me to get it inspected . It was well worth the 20$
Wow what a bad review for absolute newbies lol - no explanation what to do with the car ignition , off on or running , no explanation of the left and right buttons on the thing lol
Yeah I got one of these the guy's not telling you you got to download repair solutions to it's an app and it's really simple and it works great and it tells you to code then it tells you how to find the parts it tells you how serious the part is gives you your vehicle history if there's any recalls but he's not mentioning about the app the app is pretty gangster the whole thing is pretty straight
This clears codes y'all, just press the left button twice and it'll ask on the screen if you want to erase the code. I haven't used the app but I've been playing around with this for a couple of weeks now. Just wish there was a manual instead of me trying to find info out 😕
Excellent video. I have a question for you. I have a 2012 Rogue with a MAF problem p01 01 code. The Nissan dealer replaced the MAF. I replaced the air cleaner. I did not replace the PCV valve yet. The dealer I go to tells me they cannot fix the problem any more than they have because they do not have a Master Technician??? I am going to have to travel a ways to get a dealer with a Master Technician. The engine light has gone on twice now. It is supposedly fixed now. If not and the light goes on again and the car seems to run fine I want to turn off the engine light. I purchased a Walmart Hyper Tough HT 100 code reader. It is not much on instructions. It connects with your phone via Blue Tooth to give an explanation of the code. I do not need an explanation and I just want to turn off the engine light. My question is, do I have to use the Blue Tooth feature with the HT 100 or can I just plug it to the plug in the car, turn the ignition to on, read the code, and push the red button to clear the code?? Thank you, Tom Spero
Free tip: When people search for "how to/review" videos they don't want to hear rambling and empty irrelevant information.. Translation: Shut up and get to the point!
Probley the worst review I ever watched to the end…..I just kept thinking he’s gonna get to it Nope Never heard anybody talk that much and give absolutely no information
I'm trying to use the ht100, and the same as in the video, the yellow light with a question mark comes right on, and I can't see the codes. They are way too small. I tried pressing the buttons to try and scroll like a normal OBD2 reader does, and nothing except clearing it. 😠👎 It's garbage. Giving it a 2 on the 1 to 10 scale is being too generous. If anybody reads this before you buy it, don't waste your money. It's cheap, but still not worth it.
Damn thanks for the video. You talk too much about nonsense. Start the viseo show us how to plug it in how doez it work. Are you telling us your life story?
You talk way to much get to the point !!!!!!
This the first comment i see and i busted out laughing before he even said anything 😂😂😂😂
You got that right, this dude talked too much without any things worth listening to
Maybe he's trying to make friends. 🤣
Right and then he started reading the package like why are you reading the package
Get to the point man, you talk too much.
Seriously… and that throat clearance is getting to me!

Dude give it up.
I appreciate you taking the time to make the video but honestly, I figured it out before you got to the point
My guy, get the app it says on the back. Works great
It’s good!!! Just bought one about an hour ago and it work just fine!
I just bought the 100 today and then find this video wow. I'll be returning to Walmart. Thanks.
You have to turn key on like going to start the car (don't start though) after plug reader in....Works fine if you use it right
This thing works perfect just doesnt have a screen light but it gave me correct codes and cleared check engine light
Did you check engine light come back on right after you turned your car off and on
@@brittanynewsom6557did it ???
Did the check engine light come back on right after ?

It works, I had already taken to mechanic and knew of the code, but bought to check and dame code came up as what I was told

Sometimes thoughts are best left to yourself
Well said
I agree. Never post again please 😂
Dude. You said a lot of the same stuff and it was ALL NOTHING.
Bro…. 🤦🏻♂️ you’re all over the place
Bought the HT300 and it worked fine.
Just bought it. Absolute garbage. Then you have to purchase a plan in the app in order for it to work. Returning it tomorrow.
I didn't. Works for me just fine.
@@funkmon yeah I just used one today to clear-code on my car app was free cleared the code no problem.
Did not have to purchase a plan at all
@@funkmon I didn’t have to. The app is free…. Are you using the right app?
This guy shouldn't be doing reviews or even talking publicly. It was horrible and told me nothing

What does clear codes mean? Like make the engine light go away?
What a sorry excuse for a review

No. You should be able to clear the light by just pressing delete code or just take the negative cable off the battery for 10 seconds.
@@peterl6095 Thank you Peter

This is one of the worst videos i have ever watched! This guy couldn't even explain on how to open a cereal box!
How do you erase a code on this thing?
Im trying to figure that out myself
Press the left button (red on mine and looks like an eraser) twice but it'll store pending codes so make sure you get rid of those too.
@@heatherclemmons956I erased them but the lights were back on the dash after 10-15 mins
