just do more, don't stop here. she has a huge catalog. she listened a lot leonard cohen, enya and bob dylan. and classical music. i would say, that had a big impact on her writing and composing style.

A perfect choice to start off down this rabbit hole. Try Murder Song (54321), from the same concert, next. Then her masterpiece concert from the Nidarosdomen.
Always best live as she sings in the moment and constantly re-interprets. Her songs are all quite different and her lyrics show that she sees the world in a different way. I'm an Aurora addict, I need a fix every day.

Hello! Great that you enter our beautiful world of Aurora. Seven years now i have been in a state of happines that i found her. So loveable reaction. You need to see "lucky" live in Nidarosdomen. That one is for certain a stellar perfromance and for me the best performance ever been made. Everything in that performance is perfection.

As a vocal coach, I'd recommend Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen).
Some of her other stuff is a bit more... modern? Poppy? Still great, but certain songs stand out as far as vocals. The one I listed is top of the list for me.

Wonderful reaction H....you mention the forest and nature and fairies. If you would like to see Aurora in the forest singing a concert created by NRK TV Norway then I suggest any songs from her Haik Forest concert in Norway, in the middle of the forest...it is spectacular. Also, any song from her absolutely EPIC concert at Nidarosdomen Ancient Cathedral in Norway as well...unbelievable Cathedral...amazing acoustics, her band, and orchestra and a choir with stunning visuals...it is a Experience, not just a concert.

Very good reaction. Aurora is really amazing and true Artist. She write songs be herself (compose/coproduce/play piano too) and even without any formal education. She started as a kid 6 years old with first music and from 9 with English lyrics (and she is from Norway). She has her own style and beautiful voice tone. She is very unique person too. She is artistic even outside scene. and she is not like "one hit" artist but she has a lot of great songs and much variety in her music. Her lyrics are very often open for interpretation. poetic or metaphorical. This one is about different phases of grief (in short).
Ps. This one she wrote when was 11. There is a cool Genius video about original meaning of the song (there is also another good video but forgot source).

Don't let her angelic voice foul you, you'll think she sang from haven but actualy telling you the story of a woman being r*pe and murd*red : It Happen Quiet (live at the curent.) watch it, you'll be blown away.

I'm sure you will realize that a lot of us Aurora fans make a hobby of watching people fall head over heels in love with Aurora the second she opens her mouth. It's unavoidable. She's an incredibly special artist. She does use a lot of head voice, but she just released a brand new song called "Your Blood" where she uses her chest voice, and explores her full range. It's a nostalgic 90's indie/synth-pop song. Aurora actually dislikes like pop music, and doesn't consider herself to be a pop artist. I'm sure the more you listen to her music, the more you will realize that she transcends pop music. Her influences are based mostly in folk, metal, and electronic music. Bjork being another big influence of hers, along with the others mentioned in the comments.

Good on ya! You got it. As you can see at the she was terrified of performing and had to isolate herself from the audience to share her music and thoughts. Contrast to Cure For Me. It’s a fun song but as usual with a deeper meaning. She’s bisexual and it’s a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries to “cure” homosexuality.

She wrote this song when she was 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she understood more and more. And she knew that home meant home to her parents
