UPGRADING my NORTH RIVER 20' Seahawk Boat

- If you guys have been following along with the channel you know that I upgraded my boat from a Lund to a more suitable boat for the saltwater, a 2007 Norther River Seahawk 20'. While it was the boat I really wanted it was missing a few features that I wanted. I was lucky enough to meet Jim from Reel Custom Boat Works. Please check out the video to see all my new upgrades.

End of December, getting some grat kings and trout at Berryessa now , limits on my last video, yesterday nice tout to 24 inches at 12 ft speedy shiners copper red took the most yesterday with our overcast we had, working on a run tomorrow if I can

My only time in bondage bay was camping . I have gear to fish . Never fished for salmon. Looking forward to fishing in those waters . Nice upgrades . Let’s go I’ll net them.

The only cool thing about that tower that I am interested in is now Chris has more places to attach his GoPros for every angle of salmon fishing.

Chris I just bought a skipjack it's in pretty great shape engine & the drive there's some stuff i want done , I was going to a shop in Berkeley marina, before i do I'm checking out with Jim in Stockton HIS WORK LOOKS GREAT, Chris I had a 87 skipjack we bought new we sold it in 99 had other thing to do so where retired now & wanted to get another boat we ran into this 87 same make. I bloody the 1st 87 many times need some guidance on crabbing times , we never went crabbing back then when u go to the gate or bodega bay love to meet u and get some tips on what not to do & to where u go, Anyway Chris your video's are great .

Thanks Rommel! Yeah the tower cost is about $3000 for the one I got. Thats with the folding capability, 2 net holders, 6 rod holders, 3 light attachments. Its cheaper if you get less.

I am shopping for a pot puller myself right now. I want the height tall enough to swing the pots over the side. The only draw back to this that I have found is that they cost about $1500

I don't know much about it, other than it looks new, and mounts on the downrigger pad. It is just the puller, not the overhead pulley. If you are interested, let me know. I purchased and installed the Discoverey Bay Marine power hauler. With the upgraded removable 2 piece mounts and extra cable and connectors shipping tax etc. I think I am in to it for about $1,700. The good thing is that it works absolutely awesome. It will lift 200lbs at up to 120 feet per minute. It does all of this hands free and lifts the pots higher than the height of my gunwale. I am so happy that I bought it.
Hey Chris I just started watching you’re videos huge fan. Awesome boat I’ve been watching NRiver videos Hewescraft etc. love the river boats. Currently have a pontoon but it’s good. Gonna hit the Sacramento River for sturgeon and striper out of Bethel Island. Keep the videos comin. Thanks for the tips. Stay safe out there

What trolling motor do you have on your boat? Thrust and shaft length? Would you change anything about it?

Can you make a detailed video on the bleeder tank you had made for you? Or maybe just explain in detail here how it all works? I have a fish box on my alumaweld that I want to convert into that bleeder tank you have. Also where does the water go? i know out of the boat, but like do you have a water port to pipe the water out, or is it from say self bailing tanks?

Love the mods on the new boat. I'm thinking about getting the same model of NR but I can't get a good figure from anyone about exactly how tall the boat is while on the trailer. I noticed that you bought the fold-down arch so your boat will fit inside your garage. My garage door is 94 inches from the concrete to the bottom of the roll-up door. Without an arch, would a Seahawk 21 fit?

i went out in 5.5-6ft swells and it did good. It handles good but I wouldnt want to go in worse then that. thanks for watching
Boat looks good. Do you take the soft top down when you pull the boat?
no the softtop stays on while pulling the boat. Just make sure everything is zipped and buttoned and its been no problem up to 70mph. If its not zipped and buttoned tight it starts getting loser. hope that helps, thanks for watching!

i put movie theaters in homes which has turned into the whole smart home thing. So home entertainment/lifestyle electronics, we do design/sales/install/service. lighting control, automated shades, tvs, speakers, a/v furniture, that kind of stuff. Thanks for watching!
