First Trip on Don's 22 Foot North River Fishing Boat

- This video is about the first trip aboard Don's new boat. Joining him and me, Kevin and Caleb, Don's grandson. It was a great day with fish and fun and a flat ocean. We even saw a whale breach, but unfortunately I did not have the camera going.

Hey I really enjoyed this video. I felt like i was actually hanging out getting to experience your first maiden voyage on that Seahawk! I my family and I are decided on a 22’ it’s vey easy to see how quickly the boat can fill up with gear, coolers , four men and its even a 22’! This would be an awesome video for NorthRiver to see. Many memories in that boat yet to come! Congrats on a fine vessel there!

Nice boat! Love my 22ft Seahawk. Tell Don to get bigger bumpers, those are too small. I have the Polyform G-4 fenders and I'm thinking about going to the larger G-5 size.

Kirk Vernier i just stumbled across these boats watching "Steve Douglas-The Catfish dude" on youtube. Hes out of Kentucky and managed to get his hands one. Awsome looking boats! Think i want one!
Very nice! Just a thought for ya.Even though your boat is brand new,it's always a precaution to start your boat and make sure it's running before coming off the trailer.I've seen ramps tied up because somebody assumed there boat would run.
I got a weld craft maverick similar to this boat build quality is superb. If I bought a lund I would be mad

Thanks for the comment, Chuck! It depends on the ocean currents. If we don't feel we are getting a good presentation, we use the main. In this case, we did not feel the kicker was enough to entice the bite.

Thanks for the comment and watching! We protect the fish by releasing them as quickly as possible. I am not sure how much the boat cost, but it's worth every penny.

LOL! Of course we did. We reeled in a lot for more fish than I recorded. In fact Don was very gracious about letting his grandson reel in most of the fish he hooked. Thanks for the comment and watching!

Love the boat, but you need better reels. The fish cleaning platform seems to be in the way.

Where are you guys located? I noticed the driver drinking a beer. In California it is the same penalty for drinking and driving a boat as a car. You cannot have an open container in the drivers hand or drivers cup holders, 0.08 breath limit, and if you get a DUI while driving the boat it is the same DUI as you would get in a car. Is this different is other states?
