The workflow enhancement of these products is the "it" factor for me. The auto-gain setting here is super valuable. I use gain-matching in Metric-AB all the time in mastering to compare subtle differences without being fooled by level. Really excited for this plugin and future developments from ADPTR!

Probably the most powerful corrective tool in my master chain, but also, probably one of the most creative tools I have for channels and groups, especially with some well thought out automation, and the speed and sound quality is amazing, the best plugin in the last decade for me, having to do a lot of corrective mastering this tool will definitely be saving my ass, does nearly everything in one plugin, I’m sold!
METRIC AB is like the Holy Grail Of Mastering Plugins! (IMO) That is the most essential plug in EVERY project. EVERY!!!

@@PluginAllianceTV The Plugin is great to use but most of all sounds great, doesn’t matter how much you push it, reminds me of the passive eq effect, but with that you must have real discipline and respect, very easy to go over the top and lose sight of what you are trying to achieve

I am a producer that does mixing and mastering. I have a hybrid set up where every piece of hardware is very carefully picked out and serves me through every step of the process. (from production to mastering.) When I master I go out into all my hardware, and come back into my daw at about -11 LUFS and then have a series of Eq's and comps (I do both up and down compression) that I gainstage about 1-3 dbs per plug in. This week I had 3 albums I mastered, saw a video about this plug in and gave it a try on the first song that I mastered as I was coming up with a plan of attack for the first album...As soon as I started playing around with SCULPT I got right in the HOLY SHIT zone real quick. The only plug in I had to put after this was The Weiss dk2 and the streamliner, lol. I ended up using it on all 3 albums I had to master and every client gave it the thumbs up. No revisions. When I would go to check the masters in the car they would sound perfect everytime. This plug in is CRAZY., and literally does the job of about 5 plug ins way better. JEEEZE

You can turn PRO Q 3 into an auto threshold compressor using it's dynamic eq function and making the band very wide, I saw it in a Dan Warrall video. But, yea, seems like a powerhouse plugin!
I'm remastering some dance stuff from the 90s and the sweetspot for UA-cam are peaks to -3dbfs and -9 lufs, always 100%/100% in the nerd stats and content loudness between -1.5 to +1.5db max. Now I recognize that spot with my ears, and sometimes with the SPL Hawkeye to check overshoots in the spectrum. And you're good to go. Now I'm remastering some ambient mixes from the 90s, that is a totally other beast, because dynamics going through the roof with that genre. But still using my ears, gives me a good idea, how it's going to sound on the YT platform. And a good trick is, not to publish the tracks immediately, but first in private, and then you can see how the track is sounding and the codec doing its thing. Is it bad, throw the track away and start over.
Hmmmm. I have the plugin alliance mix and master bundle and have all of these but havent tried any of them besides sculpt which i like a lot. I never do A/B matching which i suppose ill give it a try eventually. I have other metering tools and don’t bother with streaming services. I make music for me and usually just master for CD. Ive been considering sending tracks out to some of these services so im going to check out the streaming plugin. Ive been putting sculpt on my master and some of my busses. It does a nice job and love that it can analyze the track and do a nice auto gain.It gives you a better perspective of what its doing.
Metric AB is probably my only "must have" plugin but it's a bit long in the tooth and a bit buggy so I am hoping that ADPTR do release an update to this v soon. This is pretty much the only public comment I've heard about an update coming so I do hope it isn't vapourware.

@@PluginAllianceTV I did report the v1.3 bug to you April '21 and rolled back to using v1.2 which didn't have that bug. At the time I was told that ADPTR were aware of the bug already so that's been at least a year without a fix and still counting.
Do you have any sort of timeline for when you expect a new version of Metric AB? In the interview above Marc says that it will be "this year" but that may as well be "done when it's done".
@@Big_Stewdio It is always "done, when it's done" because we don't want to switch one bug for the next. Users are also waiting for native M1 support and some other features that will be added with this upcoming update. If you have reported this bug already, you will of course be notified as soon as the update rolls out.
up compassion?? If you compres audio and turn up the makeup gain you will reduce the peaks and bring up the low signal, is it not that the same??
Downward compression reduces peaks, the extreme form being a limiter. Upward compression increases the quiet part of the signal below the set threshold. You can also try each of our plugins for 14 days to see and hear how they work for you!

@@emmitbrooks9909 Expansion increases the dynamic range of the signal. Upward and also downwards compression Decreases the dynamic range of the signal. =)
so it seems the ADAPTR contact form is non-functional or moot or barely attended to since i've received no response or acknowledgment of my request explaining the issues i've had with your GUI fragmenting to the point of being unusable. i own at least 100 Plugin Alliance devices including 2 other ADAPTR plugins and this is the only one which i have problems with. too bad since it looks like a truly nice device. Plugin Alliance support was no help either when i tried to contact them last year....they closed my ticket as resolved without even addressing the matter. oh well....i still have details and screenshots when you're ready to understand what some of us are experiencing out here with your wonder plugin.
If troubleshooting steps suggested by our tech support didn't help to solve your issue, please notify your support agent that you need further help. Please also understand, that investigating individual bugs as part of a bug report may take some patience on all sides.
@@PluginAllianceTV this was a year ago when you first offered the plugin into the PA family. i was never provided a reason as to why the ticket was ever felt to be resolved and therefor closed since my issue was not even addressed. i don't recall a tech/associate ever signing off on the deal.
i got it with a loyalty discount so it wasn't the end of the world....i was just thinking, given sufficient time, an update 'bug-fix might be available. and now it seems ADAPTR doesn't respond to their contact request/submissions. but hey....now i know.

@@PluginAllianceTV i did that and i finally heard last week this is a problem support is still looking into and that i would be notified once a fix was in the works. .....then today i get this: Your support ticket is now resolved. what kind of BS is this? i think there's a reason you guys get some fairly negative buzz in regards to your support....especially here on UA-cam.
