    Great sotware! One thing I find gets in the way is when you mouse to a label, such as LUFS and PSR, call it by a different name. This is a kind of 'technospeak' that many software designers use. Much easier for the user if you name those labels with an abreviated version of what you vocally call them. The things are congruent. Thanks!

      That’s exactly what I was looking for. For one, in the world of amateur content creation, audio levels of many UA-cam videos are still all over the place and I’d really like to see that content creators have access to easy to understand and use audio leveling tools. Many creators still have no idea that their audio’s loudness needs to be accounted for, much less how to do it. UA-cam doesn’t seem to be helping out much either. Regardless, for content creators that want to produce consistent audio content that can sit in a playlist with the BBC or anyone else’s programming, well it would be great to give them as much help as possible. Regarding professional use, (talk-show, TV and film), I’d like to see Level Presets included as well.

  • @JoshuaTMagee

    This looks incredible! Quick workflow question: in terms of using reference tracks, is it a better idea to (1) start with a high-quality version of the reference track (WAV or AIFF) and then run both the reference track and my track through the same Streamliner codec preset, or to (2) rip my reference track directly from the platform that I'm targeting (e.g. Spotify) and then simply reference my track run through Streamliner's Spotify codec against the Spotify-ripped version of my reference track? Hopefully my question makes sense, and I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice that folks might have. Thanks!

    • @PluginAllianceTV
      @PluginAllianceTV  3 роки тому +1

      Ideally, find a track that sounds great on i.e. Spotify, analyse the levels, set targets, hear how your master sounds like with an A-B comparison and the loudness normalisation which will be applied via the streaming platform.

    Quick question regarding how does the level match of this plugin compared to how streaming platforms do audio compression (audio compression, not codec). Is it leveling only to the reference loudness or is it applying same compression type algorithm ? Thanks.

    • @Jrel
      @Jrel 3 роки тому

      It can do both and you can switch among the ones you have showing in realtime. So as you're playing, you can switch back and forth through Spotify, UA-cam, TIDAL, etc (including each platform's own different codec rates, like Spotify Free, Premium) in real-time (with a slight delay as it changes from codec to codec).

    • @adptraudio4733
      @adptraudio4733 3 роки тому +3

      The volume level of a track doesnt really change when you audition the audio codec compression (i.e. MP3 / AAC / OGG / OPUS), but if you activate the (loudness) Match button, then the volume level will be matched to the target volume level of the streaming platform. e.g. Spotify -14 LUFS. Streamliner lets you audition both Audio Compression Codecs and Loudness Normalisation at the same time, so you can get a realistic idea of how your music will sound when streaming. You can also choose to audition Codec Compression or Loudness Normalisation independently.

      Streamliner matches the Live audio mix and the reference track to the Target Loudness Level. this way you can hear how loud they sound when played on the streaming service. I.e. if the Target Level is -14 LUFS, then the live audio will be matched to -14 LUFS and the Reference track is also matched to -14 LUFS. If you toggle between the live audio and reference track, then you can hear how they will sound back to back in a playlist. This way you can hear if your track is going to sound good next to another commercial track.

      NO, you should not master your tracks through Streamliner. It's only intended for auditioning how your tracks will sound like on the different platforms. If you bounce your track with the codec audition ON, or the Loudness Normalisation, this will affect the quality of the master you send out to the platforms. Always send the best quality Master recording for distribution, let the platforms decide the playback volume and add their own codecs for streaming.

      Rolling in the Deep is a song by Adele. The Levels Preset shows the levels that were analysed from this master recording. E.g. Integrated LUFS, Max Short Term LUFS and PSR. All the presets are drawn from Analysing songs/recordings. So you can google the Preset names to find the track that they are from. Hope this helps.
