What is so amazing is how long Tim held that last note. The lower the note the more breath it takes, so to hold that note that long takes great breath control.
Avi Kaplan is absolutely a fantastic bass singer!!! But don't get it twisted & make no mistake about it, that was Tim Foust of Home Free who hit that final low bass note and held it for a long time at the finale!!!
Johnny Cash's wife wrote this song for Johnny. June was still married to her first husband when she met Johnny and fell for him. That is what the Ring of Fire is about.
This is the first Home Free song I ever heard, I love Avi Kaplan. And I'm forever grateful for discovering Home Free. Jenn PLEASE react to their Butts Remix and their cover of Mayday. You will NOT be disappointed!!!!🎤🎵💕🇺🇸
Yes, Tim Foust has blown out monitor speakers on stage when hitting them really low notes, and it's quite funny to watch it happen live as the rest of the guys bust a gut when it happens.
@@Qmocean Each has those they deem exceptional above others. Avi and Geoff are indeed exceptional as well. However my ranking would not match yours. In any case, both are valid.
June Carter wrote this song when she met Johnny. . She and Johnny are looking down from heaven smiling. Tim foust blew it OUT at the end. GREAT REACTION, Love you.
This song was written by his future wife, June Carter. Beautiful harmonies and Adam Rupp’s beatboxing was spot ON! WOW! Tim and Avi did great Notice how long Tim held that last note WOW! 🎉 great reaction 🎉 I love Home Free😊
Ring of Fire. Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash’s soon-to-be-second-wife June Carter wrote “Ring of Fire” in 1963 with Merle Kilgore to express the experience of falling in love with the married Man ...
Home Free hasn't done Cash's version of "Hurt" but Chance, their current baritone (who isn't in this video since it's older), has done one with close friends of Home Free, The Hound + The Fox. It is absolutely gorgeous and I highly recommend it.
Voice play Oogie boogie song, My mother told me, Shaboom, Tennessee Whiskey are all really great ones to start with. I hope you enjoy and keep bringing us great reactions. You are just so cute and I am proud of who you are and that you are not ashamed to be who you really are. God bless you and your family. Hugs sweetie.
That clip at the end is from a Home Free original “Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget)” written by Tim Foust. It’s a great song, looking forward to seeing your reaction to it.
Jen, your reactions are just great. Whenever you cry, it really touches me. But my heart goes out to you when I see you so happy and exuberant in this video! With many love greetings from Germany!😘🤘
This is so good. Avi was great but that last note by Tim…goodness. I think it’s a G#1 and he held it for 13 seconds??!!! They also sang this song on the NBC show the Sing Off which they won and Tim goes even lower. I believe June wrote this about Johnny as she was still married to someone else and fell in love with Johnny. I think that’s right? Good reaction Jen.
Home Free is an awesome Acapela group. They do have a cover of ("Boyz to Men End of the Road") & (When a man loves a woman.) if you have not checked those out you need to luv you will not be disappointed.
Okay Just Jen, have you ever heard of Thomas Gabriel? If not and you love Johnny Cash, you definitely will love Thomas Gabriel because he is Johnny Cash's grandson and sounds exactly like his grandfather. You will be blown away from his voice, I only found out who he was from playing a show in my hometown and playing his grandfather's classics.
Hey Jen! It's not music videos, but I think you'd get a huge kick out of some of Tim Foust's monologues from Home Free's live concerts. Do a search here for "story time with tim." You'll love them, even if you don't want to do reactions to them!
The videos are really good but.....the live show is even more awesome. I was probably 60 or 61 when I saw them. The little bit of tear shed you have on your vids is nothing compared to what you would do at a live show. take it from me , 6'3" big guy, after the start of the second song in their 1st set I could not control the tears because o Tims bass. I used to sing bass years ago but no where near as low as Tim, or Avi, or Geoff Castellucci. It is soul soothing, right now especially for me . My oldest boy is in ICU on a ventilator with covid both his lungs collapsed but they wer able to fix that part. So all these awesome bass singers and others are a great help right now. LOVE your reactions!!!!
Actually, Adam Chance, or just "Chance" of Home Free collaborated with husband and wife team "The Hound + The Fox" on Johnny Cash's "Hurt". It's a great cover!
Not completely sure but I like to in said been listening to this my entire life and I think June wrote this for him. I love you so much I feel like I have a connection with you. Thanks for all the great work ln doinf your great videos.
I absolutely love your reactions and I think you are so Awesome!! I know I am dorky.. just an old retired disabled veteran.. Thank you for your honesty when reacting.
You are not wrong. There is a video of it on YT. Tim has also, jokingly or not, warned female audience members to not stand too close to the speakers at HF concerts
Big Johnny Cash fan, doesent even know June wrote the song :D Love how people just has to be first on everything to get most hits on their videos hehe :D
They definitely made it their own …. & that Low last note is TIM….‼️💥🔥‼️. June Carter Cash wrote it about them…as they were both married to someone else &, it’s about their situation ‼️
You were looking away from the screen both times you listened to the end and you missed the important moment when Avi took off his trademark beanie and replaced it with Chris Rupp's cowboy hat. I've always thought of that as the first red flag that Avi's days in Pentatonix may be numbered, because THIS is the type of music that Avi always preferred over the pop that Pentatonix was doing. There are video examples on UA-cam of both Tim AND Avi breaking speakers!
Hey Jen. I sat here for most of this song trying to figure out how I landed on your channel (still can't recall) but I'm glad I did. I really enjoy your genuine reactions, and now that your planning on exploring Voice Play, I'm super happy. I've been calling PTX, HF &VP the trifecta of acapella for a while now... and someone described VP as the theater kids , while HF hold down the country side and PTX are the pop/Contemporary side. If you're a fan of Disney, VP is the group for you. Check out The Little Mermaid Medley, Oogie Boogies Song, The Moana Medley, and My Mother Told Me. They also do killer renditions of Queen in 5 Minutes and Boy Bands in 5. Looking ford to seeing you explore them. Hugs from Newfoundland.
TIM FAUST IS THE ONE THAT IS GOING EXTREMELY LOW. THE LAST NOTE IS TIM. AND, ALSO TIM HAS A 5 OCTAVE RANGE. JUNE CARTER CASH WROTE THIS SONG. SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH JOHNNY WHEN THEY WERE BOTH MARRIED TO OTHER PEOPLE.
Their A Cappella cover of this Johnny Cash classic, originally composed by June Carter Cash and Merle Kilgore, is really something. Both Tim & Avi have really enjoyable vocal low register. P.S. Jen, since you're a Johnny Cash fan also like me, you will enjoy his cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt". He did it without permission, but like Trent Reznor said in one of his interviews, the song is no longer his, but belongs to JC: Johnny Cash - Hurt (Official Music Video) ua-cam.com/video/8AHCfZTRGiI/v-deo.html It has over 120M views.
I heard June wrote the song during their affair while still married to others. I love the great Avi Kaplan, and will always listen to his music. He has a very good selection of his personal solo work. He leans more to the nature boy, western genera.. Also, since we are getting close to Christmas, Pentatonix did some fabulous Christmas music while Avi was with them. Might want to go ahead and plan for playing some of their Christmas Music in December. I will go ahead and request Silent Night.
Please please react to Home Free ft Billy Gilman cover of One Voice. Billy was the original sing when he was very young. You may need some tissues for this one. It has a PSA at the end.
June wrote it about Johnny, about her love for him while he was married to another woman..
She was also married

Facial expressions- priceless.
June Carter Cash wrote this song. Her sister originally sang it. But Johnny made it famous in 1963.
Just a FYI Home Free and Voice Play did a funny calibration years ago called hillbillies v zombies . Way to funny
A funny calibration? LOL Okay, I think you meant to say collaboration, but we know what you meant. You're right; that video is hilarious.
I bet you will love their cover of When A Man Loves A Woman.
Home Free The Soggy Bottom Boys song you need to see it they nailed it !!!❤

good touch at the end where Avi takes off his beanie and puts on the JC black hat ;)
React to Voiceplay's cover of the Oogie Boogie song. Geoff's vocal range is crazy
Yes, Tim has broken s peakers
You're correct. Home Free was doing an outdoor concert and Tim sung one of his low notes, and he blew the woofers in their sound system!
