Hi Rob, I have a the c109r, and I had a lot of wind buffeting as well, I trimmed 50mm off my windshield so it was level with my nose, then I fitted a windshield vent that's adjustable, and that's reduced the wind buffeting a fair bit. At least it's a lot more comfortable riding now. Approx 60%, reduced wind buffeting, I can now listen to music and hear phone calls whilst riding, great bike. Glad I bought one. Throttle therapy.
I know this video is a year old but 5km is nothing. The grocery store is farther than that. I'm in the US. Glad we were not that draconian.😀 I bought a C90T last year but the shop had one of these C109RT there at the time. The 109 is a beast. Fast with a lot of power. Have you had any trouble with dragging the footboards on the pavement when corning?
Hey Rob, sorry to hear about the lockdowns. It’s definitely crazy time. I’ve got a 2009 model, last available in the U.S. that I could get ahold of. Are you on the Facebook page for Boulevard owners? If not join us. I love ours, bought it in 2013, May. The mileage at that time was 3700, now it’s a little over 21,000. I’m into my 4th set of tires, last set got a bunch of nails so ruined them quickly. I’ve got a saddlemen seat, added front highway bar, new set of Viking hard leather wrapped bags and a few other changes, such as mirrors and grips along with leather tails. Love her. I’d like to add a set of aftermarket pipes soon as they are available again, swept hopefully and loud. Hope your lockdown ends soon.
The front tyre is the same as a Triumph rocket Touring, and the rear is the same as all the other Rocket 3's ( not the touring). Most dealers carry 2-3 tyre options.
Hello Rob. Some good information you have posted there. Can you tell me if your bike requires the same amount of maintenance as a harley davidson? Also it would be great to know what servicing costs for parts if you were to do it yourself.
The next oil change is in 1,400ks the oil filter I got is a Ryco cost $14.00 there is not much to do on the bike because it's shaft drive. I would say just routine maintenance. It is a smooth ride it's not like being on a jackhammer at all nothing has fallen off so far.
