I replaced the control board (twice) as depicted but as soon as I switch on the power I think I heard a slight pop emanating from the right side board and its LED started the double blink. It never went on continuously. What are the voltages I should read in the connector from the ice maker so I can check if something is amiss? I suspect that one of the components is failing each time I power up. Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.
Thank you for this video. I thought the side with the switch was the only controlling part. I still need to figure out if this is the cause of no water and ice before I buy this control board but at least I know what to order once I eliminate other potential problems. Thanks.
my emitter light will not light even after i changed the board. How can I determine if the emitter board is getting power. I was able to bypass the sensor lights and was able to produce ice. Something funky going on with the emitter light. When I close the flapper panel the receiver continues to blink. Now also when I close the fridge door about 3/4 of the way the internal light system in the freezer goes out as does the receiver light. I ran a video inside my fridge when the door is closed there is no emitter or receiver light? Yes I'm baffled. Everything is installed correctly becasue the pins for the board can only go in 1 way. Any ideas? thanks...this is on a Jenn-Air Model JS48SSDUDE01

Does the little red light have to be on for the replacement chip to work? Mine blinked a couple of times when I clipped it in but then turned off.

May be a dumb question but how to you know if the board it even bad?
In my instruction sheet it says if the red light on ice machine blinks twice pause and twice it means your board is bad.

Did you ever find an answer for the blinking light? Mine is doing the same.
Do you need to wear gloves to do this job?
