I feel as though for a major portion of my life, I've been trying to figure out exactly what the strings are doing in "A Wild and Disntant Shore" and now I FINALLY know. I wrote it out and just hearing it played back is incredibly satisfying. THANK YOU.
With what I'm hearing of this so far and his harpsichord concerto I seem to like him better than both glass and adams. Einstein on the Beach was brilliant though.
@@quinone_bob Yes, this concerto is a hack concerto with a rip off main theme (it is substantially derived from a folk song). Beyond that main theme, which is great, there is nothing else here but pretentiousness. Doesn't even compare to Philip Glass, IMO barely resembles anything professional as there is no developments of note, it's just endlessly repeating background filler. And John Adams? Done little research before now, but am really digging the Son of a Chamber Symphony. (Most John Adams I appear to not like, but I do think there is more to what I have heard than this.)

How perfectly I understand you...
Very nice.
Oh god, THANKS!
映画「ピアノレッスン」の印象が強いが、それでもこの曲と演奏はコンチェルトとして独特の魅力がある。もっとコンサート演目に入れて欲しい!
