This has happened before when Ace and Peter were still playing in the band I believe. It almost has me thinking that Ace is involved somehow like he's sending his buddies to these concerts armed with laser pointers to mess with Paul.
My dad and I could not quit laughing when that happened were quoting what he asked the audience. One of my dad's co workers was a security guard for some shows at the rose quarter where it was and said that it was real after the show.
Neil St / OMG so funny but true. When I saw The KISS Casket anything is possible. Now Gene has a trademark on a money bag symbol. Paul has got his priorities straight Gene is only 💰 focussed sad. lol
Steve Albro That is their recent concerts. And the mothers of the other half were sitting out side in their station wagons with the motors running waiting for their kids monster show to get over.
Klatu Baradanikto It is ALL sad, just the same. There is a VERY LIMITED audience for KISS these days. Their heyday was in the 70's, when they made millions of dollars. Now they're all broke and desperate. Its sad! Their music really, wasn't meant to last because their songs really suck! They weren't Led Zeppelin, even though they thought that they were, and tried to be. Their gimmick wore off too soon, and they knew it, just as much as the rest of us did. I pity anyone who finds them fascinating today. They are the epitome of corporate rock gone wrong! Fare well, you guys! You were on top of the world for a few years, then everyone realized that your music SUCKED, just as much as your make-up sucked the BIG WAD!!! Buh-bye......
This doesn't happen at every concert... I've never heard him tell someone off live. Paul likes to have fun, not make trouble... if someone was distracting you with a laser pen so that you couldn't give the other fans the performance they came to see, wouldn't you be pissed off too? Those things can permanently cause damage to your eyesight.
I just want to get a group of people, scatter across the the area and have lasers shining randomly in multiple places RIGHT on Paul just to piss him off.
Thanks to the Sklar Bros. for pointing me towards this gem, featuring Paul's awkward scolding and Ace Frehley looking like a "baked potato with french fry legs."
well, they have the right to put people out of the concerthall if they want to. Kind of arrest yeah, not a police arrest ofcourse, more civilian arrest.
I was at the Washington Monument and couldn't hear the ranger give a tour because some idiot was loud on his phone. No one forces you to go to the theatre: stay off your damn phone. No one forces you to a KISS concert, leave the lasers to the lighting crew. I guess anyone can get carried away or miss a cue but for the most part, you know what flies and what doesn't most places that you choose to go.
Bob Rosenburg The filthy rich accomplished and well spoken self-made man? Yeah. Paul Stanley. If he makes you uncomfortable it’s because you don’t know shit, haven’t accomplished shit, or just don’t amount to shit. Take your homophobia and shove it up your ass for a good time. Fuck TRUMP.
This is the best vid ever, when I was 4 my famliy took me to this concert for my birthday... My first concert. And I happend to be 3 rows behind the idiot who had the laser
I was in the 100 section and laser pointer guy was above right where I was sitting, I was the one who yelled "Kick his ass Paul!!" I've seen KISS in make-up 3 times total and that show was the best!!!
Paul Stanley gave the guy with the laser pointer the best advice "Go back home turn in your Triple X channel and open your Playboy magazine". Memorable night for that guy
Love how tough Paul acts yet has body guards. Security at the concert. Not like the laser guy can get to Paul. Easy to act tough when you have protection
No. You cannot see when someone is pointing a laser in your face. Paul was right to call him out. Why would anyone do such a thing? And it’s stupid to say he has security when there’s 4 band members and thousands of people. Some fans go a little too far. I’ve seen plenty of bands go off on people in the crowd for doing stupid shit. At least he didn’t pull an Axle Rose and throw his microphone down and go home lol.
Haha, I believe it. Stanley has always had a chip on his shoulder. He picks a fight with some audience member in half of their concerts. He has always done that his whole career. No other band has these problems with their audiences, so I think it's a Paul Stanley thing instead of an audience thing.
sound cuts out what I am talking about happens at the beginning of the video how many laser pointers incidents do they have to deal with they should use laser pointers
Did the same laser light routine at the same point of every show on the tour. There is no guy with a laser. He's just pointing randomly into the crowd. Kind of a "I'm a badass - audience comradery" thing.
He's about as intimidating as Richard Simmons waving his hands doing step ups. This is 100 percent scripted and it's sad how many people believe it. You have to be a pretty basic son of a bitch to be entertained by this sort of shit.
Baboska No. No he's not. No he doesn't and no he doesn't. He's a poster who entertains basic people. Same people that watch soap operas and wrestling. Reminds me of an entire trailer park being entertained by a traffic stop.
@sandyRndisco1 I hope you do get to go to a KISS concert at some point. It was a once in a lifetime thing for me and I almost passed it up. I'm so glad I didn't! It was a fantastic show! With the band members getting older, I figured they could stop touring anytime. And, no I don't think the guy got kicked out.
It's kind of sad. There aren't many people at this Portland concert. Lots of empty seats - lots of room to move around on the floor. It wasn't like that in the 1970's, back in the 20th Century. I think its time to call it a day, Guys.
james woody Absolutely James. They even look old through the make-up. Simply put, they are simply too arrogant to walk away with their dignity intact. It simply doesn't pay enough.
it would be really really funny if the guy pointing the laser at Paul Stanley during this concert was the same guy who pointed the laser at him in 1999 (and made Paul lose his temper then, too).
That same year 1999 there was Woodstock 99 and Dave Mustaine got laser pointer in the middle of the performance and later he got angry and he criticized the unruly crowd behaviour
I wish Paul had not spoken to the kid this way. He is obviously a fan, and paid his fee like everyone else. Kiss has all sorts of lights on stage, front, back, top, and bottom. To go off on a kid like that for a tiny laser is silly. Every dime they get from the fans goes towards their enormous wealth. Show some respect.
seen kiss several times , the laser things a shtick, .an act....showmanship.........and they are good showman.......(most bands have mega watt lasers as part of their light shows, .....ever think of that? still, good shtick! gets the crowd going!
And how do you know he didn't nicely ask them to stop earlier in the show? That "light" can cause serious eye damage, not to mention it's just completely disrespectful.
Good for you, Mr. Stanley. He has pointed this out at other shows before. Ace was almost blinded one night during the CIRCUS tour. That's what spurred these comments. Idiots bringing lasers to point at rock star. I don't get it. I love the fact that he told the guy where to go and never to come back.
Thanks for showing Paul telling off some "child" about playing with the laser at their concert. Why would anyone want to possibly injure anyone, especially a KISS member while they are performing for fans? I have never been fortunate enough to be able to go to see KISS. Then some "ignorant" person gets in/up close pulls a stunt like that. How ignorant and embarrassing for him! Did that guy get kicked out of the concert?
@N617A Yes, this was at the Rose Garden. I would venture that if you play "venues all over the place but we have never seen this place at all", you are probably not a big enough band at this point to fill the seats.
I was and still am a Kiss fan, but I had the unfortunate opportunity to see them during the "Dynasty" tour, in the Pontiac Silverdome (half the dome, due to ticket sales), and they weren't good at all. They even admitted that some of the shows on this tour were sub-par. I would have loved to see them during one of these awesome shows that get posted here on UA-cam, and I'll have to see them next time they're near.
@FlinkenFour: My battery was running low. I'm suprised I got that much. I was really just trying to film him flying over my head, lol. The show pretty much went on without incident from that point.
With the darkness, and the smoke machines going on, a laser pointer sticks out like a beacon. It's very distracting, and blinds people. Kind of a dick move to bring one.
I love how he wins the crowd! Such a charismatic person
Lets all go to Detroit Rock City... except for the guy with the laser
This is the fifth laser incident. Im starting to think its just a gag that kiss does to pump up the crowd
I bet you can’t name all 5 incidents with KISS and a laser pointer
one of the other incidents was also right before Detroit Rock City. I started to think it is a part of the show LOL
LOL Paul trying his best to be Axl.
Or someone got inspired which then in turn inspired someone else.
Chain of events you know
This has happened before when Ace and Peter were still playing in the band I believe. It almost has me thinking that Ace is involved somehow like he's sending his buddies to these concerts armed with laser pointers to mess with Paul.
Paul makes the cheesiest speeches lol
My dad and I could not quit laughing when that happened were quoting what he asked the audience. One of my dad's co workers was a security guard for some shows at the rose quarter where it was and said that it was real after the show.
No he didn’t quit lying
act fast, the new Kiss laser pen pointer is now on sale!!!! lol'z
Neil St lol you rock!!!! Every since I heard about Kiss condoms and casket s...yep, a laser pionter ain't far behind.
Neil St / OMG so funny but true. When I saw The KISS Casket anything is possible. Now Gene has a trademark on a money bag symbol. Paul has got his priorities straight Gene is only 💰 focussed sad. lol
I laughed when he made fun of the laser guy by saying his mother is waiting for him outside with the motor running.
That's about 90% of the audience.
Klatu Baradanikto
Nah, half of them were waiting for their kids to pick them up.
Steve Albro
That is their recent concerts.
And the mothers of the other half were sitting out side in their station wagons with the motors running waiting for their kids monster show to get over.
Okay...
Klatu Baradanikto It is ALL sad, just the same. There is a VERY LIMITED audience for KISS these days. Their heyday was in the 70's, when they made millions of dollars. james woody
They had their fifteen minutes of fame.
It's time to wipe off the grease paint kiddies.
The monster show is over.
I've seen 'Phantom of the Park' a million times... I know for a fact that Paul could just shoot right back at him.
Steve Albro this was a long time ago but that was the fucking best comment ever
Seeing the look on Gene's face was priceless!!
It looked like he was going to go up to the crowd and kick his ass!!!!
This doesn't happen at every concert... I've never heard him tell someone off live. Paul likes to have fun, not make trouble... if someone was distracting you with a laser pen so that you couldn't give the other fans the performance they came to see, wouldn't you be pissed off too? You're gonna lose an eye in Detroit, Rock City.
🖕🖕🏻🖕🏼🖕🏽🖕🏾🖕🏿
I was there!!!! this part made me proud to be a kiss fan!
proud to be a Kiss fan! Sucks to be you.
I think the guy with the laser pointer brings it to every concert he goes to.
I have a feeling that he does this on purpose at every show, laser or no loser pointed at him. It's his comedy moment to impress the crowd.
stop hatin on paul those laser pens can stuff peoples vision
This concert truly ROCKED! Sucks that some people have to be so stupid.
I just want to get a group of people, scatter across the the area and have lasers shining randomly in multiple places RIGHT on Paul just to piss him off.
"Go back home, turn on your triple x channels, and pull out your playboy magazines"🤣🤣
Seems like Paul spaz's out over a laser pointer at every damn concert!
2:04 Paul Stanley in rock mode sounds like a 70 year old woman yelling at teenagers on her front porch.
One in 1997 and one in 2009, this was too funny
And weirdly both immediately preceded Detroit Rock City.
He hates lasers, huh?
No
Aaron Frank
yes
Yes he dies I can tell

I swear this laser guys been following them for years. It’s practically tradition now 😂😂😂
Thanks to the Sklar Bros. for pointing me towards this gem, featuring Paul's awkward scolding and Ace Frehley looking like a "baked potato with french fry legs."
Thats Tommy Thayer. Ace had already left by then
There should be shirts that sell at the concerts that say "I brought the Laser and shined it in Paul Stanley's face and all i got was this shirt"
I give kudos to the guy who shot this video. Your picture is crystal clear. Good job!!!
"I TOOK COCAINE!"
-Paul Stanley
lololololo ghaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
2:00 yeah I know you got it for Christmas 🎅🏻 😂
In august I'll see KISS and I'll bring a laser.
John Dee Ok, I will.
Fill us in on the details after the show! Any please post any video!
depois detroit rock city..............ah ah ah
Paul should have gotten a lazer himself to point out the guy, and get him arrested or so.
i like the way you think
Arrested for what? Shining a light at someone?
well, they have the right to put people out of the concerthall if they want to. Kind of arrest yeah, not a police arrest ofcourse, more civilian arrest.
That's absurd, they should arrest Paul Stanley for those terrible heels and lip stick job
@@JokerXDHaHaHaDid you know that laser light can damage your eyes permanently?
I was at the Washington Monument and couldn't hear the ranger give a tour because some idiot was loud on his phone. No one forces you to go to the theatre: stay off your damn phone. I guess anyone can get carried away or miss a cue but for the most part, you know what flies and what doesn't most places that you choose to go.
That guy in his 50s on stage wearing all that makeup looks real tough. You know the one with a harelip that is in high heels.
60 anos.e não 50...........
Bob Rosenburg these comments are cracking me up
Bob Rosenburg The filthy rich accomplished and well spoken self-made man? Yeah. Paul Stanley. If he makes you uncomfortable it’s because you don’t know shit, haven’t accomplished shit, or just don’t amount to shit. Take your homophobia and shove it up your ass for a good time. Fuck TRUMP.
@@gregggeoffroy3794 What does Trump have anything to do with this? And Gene supports him as well.
see how tough he is when he doesn't have 10,000 people around him
Thanks for clearing that up, laser pointer guy.
Is it just me or does Paul sound like Dorothy from the Golden Girls?
LOL!!
HOLY SHIT HE DOES HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
"Oh my glob" lol
tobo26 lol! Can't unhear that now!
tobo26 😑😑😑Shush
That guy brings his laser to every show I imagine. Probably the same guy too.
He talks like a flamboyant black man lol
Don Clout more like an old Jewish woman from ny
This is the best vid ever, when I was 4 my famliy took me to this concert for my birthday... My first concert. And I happend to be 3 rows behind the idiot who had the laser

1:26 in my opinion is the most hilarious roast Paul has said to a fan.
Love how tough Paul acts yet has body guards. Security at the concert. Not like the laser guy can get to Paul. Easy to act tough when you have protection
Paul would have wiped the floor with that guy but he’s a Class Act
No. You cannot see when someone is pointing a laser in your face. Paul was right to call him out. Why would anyone do such a thing? With the number of incidents with guys with lasers I'm beginning to think that there are no guys with lasers, just Paul trying to act tough.
I mean considering all the other funny shenanigans The band did over the years I think it’s likely.
Haha, I believe it. Stanley has always had a chip on his shoulder. He picks a fight with some audience member in half of their concerts. He has always done that his whole career. No other band has these problems with their audiences, so I think it's a Paul Stanley thing instead of an audience thing.
this laser dude just became a legend to me
colonel Sniper That's why he did it. It was an easy way to become part of the show and this video glorifies his act.
A nothing loser.
A nothing loser.
I love that guy laughing his ass out at 1:30
Part of the act...I guess Paul didn’t realize that with the internet we could now post videos of all of the shows.
sound cuts out
what I am talking about happens at the beginning of the video
how many laser pointers incidents do they have to deal with
they should use laser pointers
Did the same laser light routine at the same point of every show on the tour. There is no guy with a laser. He's just pointing randomly into the crowd. Kind of a "I'm a badass - audience comradery" thing.
He's sure a badass, good ass voice in rock, plays rock & roll.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa no s#!t lol
OP, I want to believe this is true.

Amo demasiado a Paul Stanley 😍😍
totally bringing a laser pointer to the next KISS concert
Don't be that guy. It's like being a heckler at a comedy show: nobody likes you; nobody thinks you're funny.
i think it's hilarious, and that's all that really matters, isn't it?
Abort Christ
Nah, it's douchey.
Dave Rogers Nobody likes KISS anymore. Nobody thinks they're funny. It was fun in the 1970's. It's very old now...
james woody
So the concert-going is "just out of habit"?
I love this video I love how Paul handle the guy with the laser pointer
best band ever
@sandyRndisco1 I hope you do get to go to a KISS concert at some point. It was a once in a lifetime thing for me and I almost passed it up. I'm so glad I didn't! It was a fantastic show! Never point lazers in anyone's eye. it could damage them
He should haved used his mystical KISS powers and shot a lazer beam out of his eye back at the guy with the lazer pointer.
They tried an effect once where a laser would shoot out of his eye into the audience. Major fail. So what's his beef?
I wish i could equip every person in the audience with a laser pointer
Nothing better to do with your life? 🙄
I know right
That would totally be disastrous.
The worst band of all time.
I imagine that guy with the laserpointer, brings it to every show he attends.
Or that could've been the same guy that laser pointed Tom Brady
KISS is the funniest band ever I have their 84' Animalize tour DVD Paul is hilarious on that.
The awesome power of the Blendtec Blender brought me here.

You are a rock city,he says that in every city he goes to.
This laser guy has been on the go for fuckin years. 😂
The laser guy came back. From that other older show. >:3
Come here schmuck!
Didn't he say almost exactly the same lines during some other occasion where he got LAZOR'd? So, he has a laser stage routine, wow.
And how do you know he didn't nicely ask them to stop earlier in the show? That "light" can cause serious eye damage, not to mention it's just completely disrespectful.
Paul is the idea of what man should look like. Just look at all the man fur. I love you Paul Stanley Forever!
Same guy. Same laser. 10 years later.
I love it when this happens

You know this guy really had it coming, i mean, you just heard the kings of marketing turn away a buck. Thats serious !
Thumbs down? lol. This concert rocked!!! there, is that good enough for ya?
you got that straight! they don't call him AxHole Rose for nothing!
This is a good video clip.
Is this a set up because he seems to say the same thing every fucking time
Paul owns everyone with a laser pen.
mighta been the 10th anniversary tour, it was 1999 i think in the last video.
Im going to see them next month bringing my laser too
@FlinkenFour: My battery was running low. I'm suprised I got that much. I was really just trying to film him flying over my head, lol. The show pretty much went on without incident from that point.
Could it be a part of performance too?..
Wow!! He told that guy off!! ROCK ON KISS!!!!😀😆💞💖💥🧨💜🔥♥️🎊🎉
You do know it wasn't real right?
How good of a "good time" can Kiss throw if it can be RUINED for EVERYBODY by a single laser pointer?
It was a KISS laser pointer, bought at the show for $30.
***** holy shit ! Lol
Louis Aquiler idk man I was at the concert and I was cracking up when he told that guy off
axl rose has fear of amateur cameras and paul has fear of lasers?????
Paul looks and sounds like dorothy from the golden girls.
Portland has NEVER changed.....
paul is such a wanna be tough guy.
I was there thats me that turns around. Thats my wife screaming.!!!
what is up with the pointer?? i dont get it?? wat does it do??
With the darkness, and the smoke machines going on, a laser pointer sticks out like a beacon. It's very distracting, and blinds people. Kind of a dick move to bring one.
oh okay thank you!!
