No Paul, this isn't stupid, it's actually cool. This reminds me of VH1 "Storytellers". We love hearing the stories behind the songs. Please keep em coming!
Paul is such a modest man particularly about his guitar playing. He is incredibly skilled and talented and what he does works. Amazing guitarist, singer and songwriter. He also seems like a very nice and caring person with some great safety advice that must be heeded during this unprecedented and sad time.
He’s an amazing talent. His life story of how he overcame deafness in one ear and being made fun of by other kids to be a true Rock God is one for the ages!
Paul's writing and arrangement on his KISS songs is phenomenal. Brilliant song writer. Man so many great anthems. Love all of Paul's output. Stay safe everybody. Wash your hands from all surfaces you touch.

I remember in an Ace interview, Ace said that Paul is a fantastic song writer. I totally agree.

Yeah, dude!! Totally!! When he said that I looked to Heaven and... Because I really struggle with my limitations as well (we all do, right?) so that sentence is really inspiring, huh?!
This was my favourite Kiss song of all. Thanks for doing this. I sadly lost all of my original Kiss albums in a flood a short while back which was gut wrenching but I did get to see you play this live in Toronto before all the COVID craziness hit. I hope you come back!
Paul, you and the boys gave me many good childhood memories. At 12 and 13 years of age Kiss was my favorite band in the whole world! I was nearly the only black kid that I knew that would openly admit to listening to rock and loving Kiss! My 13th birthday my mom bought me Kiss “Destroyer” on 8 track. Man I wore that thing out. Thanks!
That was my first record too. I got it for my birthday when I was 11 years old. I played it all the time. I was in the Christchurch Cathedral Choir and we did a tour for a week singing in different parts of the south island. I played it at the back of the bus we travelled on the whole time over and over again. There were many requests from the kids to play it. The choir master was not impressed but all the kids in the choir loved it.
You are not alone in the Black sense, me too from age of 14 I am 62 now and me and about three friends all black only listen to rock, we filmed Kiss at the Omni in Atlanta with 8mm film took it home and played it on the wall listening to Kiss. Now a Die hard Rush fan RIP Peart, they opened for Kiss that night. Music is a rainbow of colors not just Black and White. If anyone Black gives you shit about listening to rock, ask them about looking at Tom Cruise, and all the other White actors movies. Rock on dude BTW Bush is the shit too.

Paul- Such a great message, from such a respectable, and far-reaching role model!! I have seen many celebrities post similar messages lately, and as someone taking this situation seriously, I am ecstatic to see you urging your followers to take precautions as well!! We rock/metal-heads can be quite stubborn, so hearing it straight from someone like you goes a long way!! On another note, my wife and I were at your show for an overnight trip without the kids around a month ago, and it was just the best 24 hours we've spent in a long time!! The venue was great, the show was amazing, the surrounding area was great, and just when we were getting into our car to leave the hotel the next day, and things already couldn't get any better, we bumped into Gene!! All four of you, and your whole crew, and everyone involved just completely destroyed our expectations, and when you fellows come back to the states, my wife and I are already planning an even longer road trip, and will see you there!! Thanks again for everything!! BTW, I just started "Face The Music." : )
Paul, thank you for the decades of great music that you provided KISS and music fans all over the world! I have been a KISS fan since "Double Platinum", which my Mom bought for me in the third grade. I have been to several great KISS shows over the years. My two most memorable concerts were: 1.) December 1987 Crazy Nights Tour - The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA; and 2.) May 1992 Revenge Tour - The Trocadero, Philadelphia, PA. People might think I am crazy, but I really enjoyed the non-makeup era of KISS. Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick were great additions to the band. Eric, in particular, was one of the great rock drummers of all time. He's sorely missed! Thank you, Paul!!
I’m 45. Back in the day I took mom and dad’s “Double Platinum” and “Dynasty” albums to my kindergarten show and tell. We put them on and the whole class danced. Thank you for everything! This video was awesome. Keep it up.
Michael Bacon I didn’t even pay attention. I just remember showing everybody the front of Dynasty. I remember they played it on one of those old elementary school portable players that looked from the 50’s. I remember looking around the room and everybody was dancing. I think they played a cut off of double platinum “I was made for loving you.” Is that off that album? I should look it up. The teacher may have taken exception but she played it so I think she was okay with it. :)
When I was in fifth grade in about 1980, the teacher asked us to bring in a tape or a record of a song about fire....So I brought Destroyer and played Flaming Youth. :D

I almost squeezed my uncles head off when they hit the stage... Lol Kiss fan from the start and still to this day! I believe 4 or 5 shows since 1977...

This virus may be keeping folks locked down… But music and rock ‘n’ roll will always be in our hearts! GOD BLESS YOU!... and thanks again Paul Stanley!! ❤️⭐️❤️
Amen, my brother! I saw KISS in 1976, I was 12. I loved you guys. I loved your Apperience on Paul Lynds Halloween's show. But this....So personal and caring. By far the best thing you have ever done. Keep posting. Stay safe
KUDOS to you Paul, for knowing who today's heroes are. Now lets see Gene do one of these, they do mean a lot to us and to the heroes on the front lines, and those of us who have this shitty thing. Thank you Paul.
It can be when it's well rested. If they would do 1 show a week and a shorter show, the lipsync and such might not be needed nearly as much. But they always go too big.
Paul, you should start your own channel. You would have a lot of followers. I enjoyed this video. Please, keep doing them. I have made it a point to watch channels which do these. I have been a Star Child, Eric Carr, Bruce Kulick, Ace & KISS fan for as most of my 53 years of life. I would only listen to your songs. I did buy each of your single albums. People didn't care much for 'The Elder' album, but I did. Thank you, for speaking about the seriousness of the COVID-19 & for the years of music!! Stay safe & healthy.
Your such a down to earth human being Paul, all I've ever remembers during my you're was listening to deal Rocker's that played with true heart and from the gut... That's what inspired me to pick up the guitar and want to write song's... At the age of seven it was The Beatles and Elvis, when I got to play my Dad's guitar I was alive when I figured out melodies and, when I reached middle school Kiss was in teen magazines and when I got a visual of how you all portraid your stage presence; I said man this is more than just music! Thanks for sparking something in me that took creativity to a point of an release of our inner self! I started working at 14 years old so I could get an guitar; It was an Global Les Paul copy with Dimarzio super twin humbuckers. I wish I still had that one from there on I never did for any others I got through life... I love how you make the gentle side of you come out in a intro then kick it into gear! It sykes me up so much! I put you in the company of people who made historical music that ensures the rest of time and compositions that were pure genius from the heat and soul! Thank you and I am forever greatful... It's because of musician's such as yourself that made a whole new world for me; with color and excitement! Your compensate word's lyrically taught me that it's okay to be sensitive and strong at the same time... When I was a kid my parent's worked hard to give their children what they didn't have as a child... So we were growing up with little time with Mom and Dad... In a way you talked to me through interview's and song's... Thank you, you don't know how much I took to heart what spoke at times... I guess it's because you were always real. Love yah. Sincerely: David Paul Rivera
Can you imagine just hanging out in this guy's home, like just laying on the carpet in this room, like, just hanging out?! That would be a moment...for sure.
This felt genuine and heartwarming. I used to write rock songs in my youth, so it’s kinda magical to see your heroes just chilling and sharing experiences with you. Thank you so much for that.
Great video Paul, thank you! We all need to follow the orders that health officials tell us to do or there will be a lot of unnecessary casualties from this virus. I really appreciate you taking time to make this clip and I will check out more you've done! Stay safe & healthy everyone!
What a great guy, Paul Stanley. Thank you for all the music! I still remember the seat number from my 1977 concert in Louisville, Dec 12th with AC/DC! (Freedom Hall, section 220, row b, seat 11.) Saw you last year at Yum Center - bravo man, bravo!!!
Thank you, Paul for taking the time to do these videos and for sending out a message to do the right thing. Would love to be a fly on the wall while you play and explain these great songs. Been a fan since the mid 70's. Love ya. Stay healthy.
NORMAN F. Thanks. Cheap Trick is another really cool band to hang with. Flown many over the years...Snoop, TI, Shania, Tim Allen, Carol Burnett just to name a few. Only one I regret, Steven Segal. What an ass!
Rob Zombie The trip is what we call a pop up. They called and wanted an aircraft ASAP. I had just finished a trip and was at the San Bernardino airport ready to head to Las Vegas when I got the call from dispatch. I flew from San Bernardino to Orange County airport outside Los Angeles. The flight manifest had been faxed to customer service, that’s when I seen his name. I looked around and there he was, wearing his beanie and little dark sunglasses with his arms crossed looking all pompous. He was standing with another guy that was about 5’2”. I walked up to them, looked at the small guy, looked at Steven, looked back at the small guy and said...”Steven Segle?” (Purposely mispronounced his name) Fuck! Now that was a photographic moment! We had a little chat that was not so pleasant. I offered to get another pilot but ended up doing to trip. Anyway, we were going to his home in the Siskiyou mountains. About 40 minutes into the flight he comes up to the cockpit wearing like a kimono and turquoise jewelry like we were filming. WTF. He got off the plane, yelled at his wife and that was it.
Keep these videos coming Paul. You should do a podcast of just discussing kiss through the years , songs memories etc. That would be a goldmine. BTW I have that same Hughes and Kettner 2x12 you have in the corner loaded with a cocktail of 1 20 watt greenback and 1 vintage 30. Keep em coming Paul. You an inspiration to us all.
Growing up I always thought Kiss was 4 members. Over the years I have come to realize Kiss was Paul Stanley, he was the brains behind the music. I have developed a very high level of respect for him. I was always a huge Ace fan, but I have become a huge Paul fan too!
My greatest influencer, the person that really inspired me most growing up...was always Paul Stanley. He was what naturally cool meant. And beyond his musicianship, his logic, sensibility and composure is first-rate.
The age of internet never thought I'd be seeing Paul give a guitar lesson on you tube so fun to watch and nice to see you advocating people staying safe !! Thanks Paul
"I really love you baby" is genius as opening line. Right from go, you know it's playtime, and it's sound ironic, almost sarcastic. You don't say that to someone you love. You say that to your one night stand.

I love how Paul mentions one song, and has a couple of asides about two more related tunes. Of the four Kiss autobiographies, his profound love of music came through the loudest and the clearest.
Paul, this is great community work friend. From my first show in 74? (Wilkes Barre Pa) to almost making it to a regional tour opening act with you guys, I’ve been a fan of the hottest band in the land! Rock on brother, OFAY, Scranton PA
I enjoyed this. Paul was doing his part to help turn things around and created an opportunity to do something different and a little more intimate. Thanks for posting this!
I've been saying that Paul's voice sounds much better.. I noticed that he sounded much better... not only when he sings but also when he talks to the crowd. I noticed it after he canceled those Australian tour dates. Of course he doesn't sound like he did on the Lick It Up tour but... this is the best I've heard him sound since about 2010-2012ish
I've said it once and I'll say again, until the thick headed motherfuckers get it. Paul gave us his all, he left it on the stages across the WORLD. From the early 70s till today, 2020,and you know they will have something BIG for 2023.his voice doesn't suffer from drugs or alcohol but giving the KISS UNIVERSE what he thought we deserved, the best. And for that I thank you, I have much respect for you and Will always love KISS. Much love from C.J.Johnson from Jacksonville Fla.
@Tom Johnson yeah smart guy. It's not breaking news that Paul's been using vocal tracks for certain parts of songs. He's been doing it since the kiss kruise prior to the end of the road tour.... so you're not breaking news to anybody. A year ago Paul Stanley would sound good during the song but then he would struggle to talk to the crowd... the last few months he sounds much better even when he talks to the crowd... and he sounds much better on the intro of Black Diamond which is definitely NOT a track
MOnstro! Uma vez vi um vídeo onde o Paul dizia "Eu sou um deus, mas um deus humilde!" Bom, com certeza um deus ele não é! Mas eis sua humildade! Muito fera! KISS ARMY BRASIL !!!!

You're a legend Paul. Love this, it's so comforting. Love Gun was the first song I ever loved. Kiss Alive II changed my life.
Dear Paul,
Thank you so much for these videos :) Please keep them going as they'll help keep our spirits up!
Hey. I’ve been a fan for 43 years. Thangs for this. I saw you in Ottawa last year for my birthday. I love you for making me who I am. You rock dude
Legend! Such an amazing insight into the history of this song. Consider doing more of this, I’d watch for sure.
In tough times like this, more than ever...people need to have their spirits lifted!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Paul, for reaching out to your fans, and cheering us up a bit!! This virus may be keeping folks locked down… But music and rock ‘n’ roll will always be in our hearts! GOD BLESS YOU!... and thanks again Paul Stanley!! ❤️⭐️❤️
Paul has always been my favorite member of KISS. He is so grounded and real.
Amen, my brother! I saw KISS in 1976, I was 12. I loved you guys. I loved your Apperience on Paul Lynds Halloween's show. But this....So personal and caring. By far the best thing you have ever done. Keep posting. Stay safe
Thanks Paul, So good to see you play like that and a sensible message you send to those who want to listen.
Very cool. Would love to hear these 'inside' stories, especially the song inspirations. Thumbs up.
KUDOS to you Paul, for knowing who today's heroes are. Now lets see Gene do one of these, they do mean a lot to us and to the heroes on the front lines, and those of us who have this shitty thing. Thank you Paul.
Paul's voice still very Powerful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😘😘😘💪💪💪💪💪💪
It can be when it's well rested. If they would do 1 show a week and a shorter show, the lipsync and such might not be needed nearly as much. But they always go too big.
Poor pual still needed to Shout till he End of the Road. ☠️
I'm sitting here in orange county playing my ps10 day after day for 16 days. Do what the man says. Stay the F inside. Thank you Paul! For everything!
In Orange County, too. No guitars to entertain myself at the moment. Bummer!
Can you imagine just hanging out in this guy's home, like just laying on the carpet in this room, like, just hanging out?! That would be a moment...for sure.
@Old Jim i think he wouldve enjoyed laying on the floor, but not on some dude's floor, but Paul Stanley's
He'll probably throw people out if they mention Ace or Peter. That's typical Ego Paul for you.
Thank you Paul , we your fans need this right now, it shows just how much you love this country and your fans
This felt genuine and heartwarming. I used to write rock songs in my youth, so it’s kinda magical to see your heroes just chilling and sharing experiences with you. Thank you so much for that.
My idol ❤️❤️💙💙🎤🎤🎸🎸🎼🎼
Please Paul talk about your masterpiece riffs (my perception) “I Stole Your Love” and “Making Love”. Take care.
wicked Lester The main riff is killer!!
wicked Lester Agree.
I have flown these guys privately several times. Very down to earth.
NORMAN F. Thanks. Cheap Trick is another really cool band to hang with. Flown many over the years...Snoop, TI, Shania, Tim Allen, Carol Burnett just to name a few. Only one I regret, Steven Segal. What an ass!
NORMAN F. I almost forgot, Michelle Rodriguez from Fast and Furious. I even drove her around Los Angeles for a couple hours. 😜
@@floydndaisy What did seagal do ?
lol
Why would anyone believe this dreamer.
Great message there at the end, too! You guys need to isolate the last two minutes and tweet it/post it everywhere...
Paul, thank you sooooo much for sharing your time and doing these videos for all of us. Stay safe and stay healthy brother!
3:19 Holy smokes! His voice sounds exactly the same as he did back then!
I LOVE IT💕💕💕💕
🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
His voice is great now but he was better back in the day just listen to Detroit rock city from 1998 that’s some great singing by paul
Paul, I just want to say, you are the greatest!. Talented singer, great entertainer, super nice everyday guy. You rock!
Thanks, we sure loved the show last summer. Rock on 🇺🇸🙏🏻🍻
Would be cool to see Paul do this for more songs to hear their back stories and see how to play them the way he does
I wish paul did more of this, it's cool seeing him just talking about songs and playing a little bit
So freaking Awesome! Thank you so much Mr. Stanley for taking the time out of your day to inspire us good sir. Stay safe and healthy!
I was 2 houses down from his home when he was taping this.
He is my cool neighbor.🎸
Well said Paul and nice chord progressions
Yeah, and Santa Claus inbetween you with the Tooth fairy on the other side??
Is there going to be a special guest in Dubai! 👩 ⭐ WOW!
🎸 🎸
Paul Stanley is a true Rock Hero!! Much respect!
Nothing but respect brother. From New Mexico stay blessed stay safe.🙏👍🇺🇸✌✌
Growing up I always thought Kiss was 4 members. Over the years I have come to realize Kiss was Paul Stanley, he was the brains behind the music. I have developed a very high level of respect for him. I was always a huge Ace fan, but I have become a huge Paul fan too!
One word
Ace

Yes.
The guy still got it. Unbelievable. This was so cool. Thanks, Paul.
I'm back at the very end of 2021 (2 days till 2022). I needed this to pick me up again... Thanks Paul!
Paul Stanley IS KISS!!! “Rock and Roll Over” is their BEST album !!!
ACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! is
MOnstro!
Uma vez vi um vídeo onde o Paul dizia "Eu sou um deus, mas um deus humilde!"
Bom, com certeza um deus ele não é! Mas eis sua humildade! Muito fera!
