@@Symbiote-Man you can cry all you want but that doesn't mean you don't ACCEPT criticism. They basically just admit to getting their feelings hurt, which is expected
@@amandastewart1358 The people who think aba & preach are “mean” or “harsh” are the same people that push “cancel culture”. They’re the same ones who go out and try to ruin people’s lives because they get offended. If you don’t want criticism, don’t put it on the internet for the world to see. I often say, when people criticize you and its offensive to you, most of the time there’s a reason you’re offended. Either it’s because of your own personal insecurity because deep down you know there’s truth to the criticism or you really respect this(these) person(people) and you feel as if they are going out of their way to hurt you. People who are secure in themselves will take the criticism and think on it. Some times you will take it as advice and some times you’ll just let it go. It won’t phase you if you’re a secure person. There’s no reason to hurt over people saying things that you know aren’t true. Their channel is not offensive in any way. They speak the truth.
People who don't like their ideas being challenged should realize that deep down they have a fascist mentality. Someone who knows his ideas are correct, will always be able to defend them with arguments, in a calm and respectful way. People who get offended are usually those who end up defending their ideas with violence (which is how fascism works).
Too bad people these days create their own echo chambers where they repeatedly tell themselves they are the GOOD GUYS who can do NO wrong (especially if their intentions are good)... and if someone disagrees with them THEY are the bad ones, no matter what. This is not just fascist and dangerous, it's hella narcissistic and horrid. The phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" exists for a reason.
I loved their discourse “if they should take a stand in politics”. Bc we all know what they personally support but it is hard to not alienate people when it comes to the company. Very interesting conversation 👏🏼👏🏼
I mean, the channel has already a clear progressive leftist stance. It isn't always openly admitted, but sometimes, most of the time, through casting, direction, there's no mistaking the channel for anything else than that, a liberal channel for liberals. Nuance has died a long time ago on that channel, despite what Jason would prefer. I respect him for wanting to take that neutral stance, but this isn't what is happening, sadly. That's what's interesting when they mention Aba & Preach… A&P are the vast majority of the time nuanced. The fact that their nuance somehow hurts some of the Jubilee staff is pretty revealing. They have a harsh, direct delivery, but it is still the nuance that Jason wants but that we don't see on Jubilee.
With Kendras point on needing to take a stance and it being about right and wrong, that’s the inherent problem with that, is who decides what’s right and what’s wrong. Because even within the liberal community one of us may think something someone did is forgivable while another feels it is not. Everyone’s perspective is different so who would be deciding what is right and what is wrong. In many, not all, but many aspects of life, things are very nuanced and go deeper than the surface. For that reason alone I think it’s important and great that jubilee doesn’t take sides just presents it all for a dialogue
I'll take you guys seriously when you can do the following: - Learn to take criticism and not confusing it for hatred to improve your approach to these videos. This is why cancel culture is so toxic and rampant. - Stop attempting to please everyone, there's no point because someone will be offended anyway. - Stop appealing to the teenage demographic that is very impressionable and is more agreeable. You need others to reject your ideas to create stronger ones or to even solidify their own importance. - Go for a more mature audience and handle your sensitive topics more maturely and realistically instead of dumbing them down. - Be more empathetic to your viewers/critics. You guys are all about "embracing empathy", huh?
Hearing Kendra being so open about Jubilee not being her end destination came as quite a refreshing shock Because usually you cannot be open like that at traditional companies about your personal projects which might lead to a different venture. It's good to see that such honesty is possible at Jubilee!
The only reason I watched jubilee was because of Aba and preach. Striking aba and preach channel is not okay. It appears Jubilee is targeting Aba and Preach for some reason. I don’t think this is okay and it comes off as bullies for striking another channel. If you didn’t want people, specifically Aba and Preach to react to your content then the right thing to do would have been to reach out and communicate with them so they were aware. There’s many many other channels that react to Jubilee content the same way Aba and preach do it, this seems like a cyber bully targeted attack. Not cool Jubilee, do better.
john and jason, thank y’all for your responses to the second question. i appreciate your desire to stay true to your mission and be inclusive and listening to different people.
I came here because I'm an Aba and Preach fan, however I see they've commented here, and have already made a response video. Let me just say that, you cant sit here and talk about serious topics like this and not have people that will fundamentally disagree with you and criticize your content, whether its justified or not. I feel that Aba and Preach give valid criticisms to your video production and to the people in these productions. You can disagree with me and thats fine. However, you still need to understand that people will always have something to say when you put something out there and someone will always have something to say that you dont like and you have to learn to deal with it.
I think it's important that we acknowledge our own politics, because none of us (including you) is truly objective. I also think John's right: there's nothing worse than (sanctimonious) liberal content made for liberal audiences. I like most of our work at Jubilee because we're trying to have real conversations outside of our respective bubbles. It's not direct action, but I hope our work gets viewers thinking about their politics and the politics of others. At the very least you can sharpen your own views and incorporate others you may not have considered.
@Queen queen I think what they're trying to say is that liberal content made for liberals not only is bad, but is also mainstream while not being recognized as bad (i.e. discrete). On the contrary, racist ideology is bad but the vast majority of people recognize it (conservatives too) so it's not as a discrete.
Your work will never get people truly thinking if you don't address your biggest weakness. It's painfully clear that there is no one remotely conservative or near the center working at Jubilee. They are all just slightly different variations of lefties. The way you guys all took BLM support, and Kendras claim on Trump as a given just shows you are not even aware of the perspectives on the other side. You probably can't even articulate a single argument that they would have. For example, many Jews do not support BLM because they have adopted antisemitic rhetoric equivalent to Antifa, and many conservative are against BLM because their manifesto mentions many changes they want to adopt that would only cause harm to Black people. As it stands your content turns off the majority of conservatives young and old (I'm one of the few who enjoys the channel for entertainment purposes) and it's clear that rather than stimulating real conversations between those on the left and right it just makes those on the left consider where on the spectrum from moderately to extremely left they want to be. If you don't believe me, just look at the comment section of any of your videos. Your audience almost unanimously thinks the same and is always in agreement with the left, the only disagreements that go in the comment section are whether the conservatives are terrible human beings or just uneducated and wether they should or shouldn't be allowed to speak. In conclusion, if 50% of this country would disagree with everyone one of you and the audience you've grown then you need to add some diversity to your staff.
What's funny about going after aba and preach is that if it wasn't for their channel during the pandemic reacting to your videos, I wouldn't have went out of my way to go and watch jubilee videos. Please don't take away their channel, they're just using your videos for fair use like any other videos and your content just happens to click with their audience.
I loved hearing that from him. And I think that as a CEO it’s such a smart choice to not pick a side and loose subscribes and watchers just because of a political view
@Grant Well that's a biased opinion of you. They do this for every side of every story. Golden example: Incel guy from "men's rights movement". Where the fuck did they find that thing.
I found this channel through Aba N Preach and now I have to go through all these videos, just to take back all my likes (which I’m sure means nothing) and report this channel. Fair Use and you, Jubilee, just don’t have respect for the community.

Why did Jubilee copyright some of Aba and Preach’s reaction videos? Doesn’t their videos bring a lot of traffic to this channel? It looks to be a win-win. I’m confused.
I never find anything aba and preach say as mean I always see it as the truth form there perspective thoses guys arnt gonna lie or hold back just to spare feeling i like that because how people feel isn't the end all be all the facts r important
I suppose their definition of "mean" is different. E.g. Their video on that Yaaaassss! girl and the other woman in the dating circle videos they called a potato. To me, Aba and Preach's comments about the two of them were spot on because those 2 women were really rude and arrogant. I suspect Jubilee and those 2 women thought they were mean for those comments.
At Jason saying that jubilee doesn’t demonetise reaction videos. It’s fair use dude, it’s legal and you’re not doing anyone any big favours by taking their revenue away especially when they’re doing the same thing you do which is just providing entertaining content on a platform that caters to that.
I strongly agree with Jason. I think we can all agree with the fact that what happened at the capitol is horrendous and anyone who entered and trespassed should be dealt with, however what Kendra was implying was that all conservatives are evil and shouldn’t be allowed to share their beliefs even though 99% think that the capitol riot was out of order. I think the best way to bring people together and create unity is to have discussions and bring people together instead of shutting them down instantly if they disagree with you. I think we have to remember that 99.9% of people want people to have an equal chance at life however some people have different methods of achieving this. For example, if there is a tree in the middle of the road, you could go left around it or you could go right. Both ways will end up in the same place however the methods and approach of getting around the tree are different. Thankyou for coming to my TED talk, have a nice day :)
Thank you for liking my chair. I am totally in love with it. I swing on it 10 times a day and it is the coziest spot in my entire house. The encasing thing is to make me feel like it's ok to take a nap at any time of the day. I'd highly recommend it. Bought it from Amazon.
WTH people? Leave Aba and Preach alone, you guys gave permission. If you don’t give it anymore you should state that and not go after them from content from the past 🤨🤨🤯
I see a lot of comments critiquing Jubilee and I agree with them. Especially with how they label everyone who critiques them as a "hater." I also came from Aba & Preach's video commenting on this, and I fully agree with them. I still think it's good to comment on good things that they're doing. I really like that Jubilee's CEO Jason said, "maybe the biggest impact you can make is on the human side, rather than on the political side." I'm really glad that he's the CEO/founder of Jubilee. I think he works really hard on making sure that this is not a political channel and that the goal of the channel is to create discussion from opposing views. Yeah, sometimes the discussions are executed poorly (hence the criticism), however, I'm glad that they're still trying to do so. In today's political climate the reason that echo chambers are happening and causing so much division is because people do not listen to anyone who disagrees with them. That causes them to be unable to find middle ground between opposing views, which leads to people not understanding each other. Leaving no room for empathy to occur. I hope they listen to the critiques they receive and learn from them, so that they can grow as a channel. Because what they're trying to do with creating discussion is very much needed right now.
If jubilee were to take a political stance I feel like it would drive a lot of people away from their channel. I personally watch it because of the lack of bias which is so rare nowadays and I really hope they never change because they are executing their goal of human good just fine as it is
WTF Aba & Preach weren't even mean. Some of their jokes are savage, but at the end of the day, they were jokes. When they were being serious, they gave constructive criticisms.
you might want to consider this: you might feel some kinda way about people reacting to your video, but some part of your growth over times comes from people in the audiences of those channels that react to your work following up to see the whole video and then subscribing to you. you are trying on some level to start conversations, so you cannot also have tender feelings about how the conversation goes once it leaves your hands. I get it if people are actively abusive to you, but in most cases they are not, they are jsut commenting on how they feel about how you handled the issues that you take on. Some of them are complicated issues, so you won't be able to cover them in a way that everyone likes, or they wouldn't be complicated issues. be confident in your work, if criticism is valid then adjust; if it is not let it roll off of your back!
If not for ABA & Preach, I would have never heard of or watched Jubilee. Yes, I have actually watched some of your full videos since. Now with saying that, as a pro musician for the last 2 1/2 decades and someone who deals with copyright, royalties, etc; What you guys are doing to ABA & Preach is shady and wrong. Point blank. 🤷🏿 I guess I'll be sure to never watch or even click on your videos again.....
I agree with Jason about politics. We have seen the result of the video “I’m not racist. You are the racist”. Of course, Jubilee thought that it was the right decision but it was like spit at us. There isn’t any chance to show the political view with objectivity. And I’m afraid that one day Jubilee may become the channel with one political side. Spectrum, Middle Ground - yes(like “Do Trump supporters think the same”) but videos directly talking about politics - no. But despite this, I love your company, people and channel) Good luck🔆
@Queen queen No, they were talking about racism not about “I am poor, please, love me”. The author of that video was so racist in his expressions but when someone told he wasn’t right, he denied it and said: “No, you are a racist”. Actually, I am sad that so many people think that you can be racist towards only black people or sexist towards only women
@Queen queen Same thing right back at you. You are not immune to echo chambers, and many black people are in a massive cultural echo chamber in how they are raised. Same for white people. WE ARE all stuck in echo chambers, and we need to leave and realize we're all humans, and we all have bias.
You guys cannot take away other channel's monetization. Reaction videos fall under FAIR USE. It would be illegal for you to do that. The fact such a big channel even thinks that and is saying it is so ridiculous. Do you know how many huge channels and corporations abuse yt copyright claim system and screw over small creators? It's a massive problem on youtube. Look into fair use and transformative content
Wow, Jason’s heart is incredible...he makes this channel as beautiful as it is at times. If he wasn’t there, it wouldn’t be what it is at all. John is also so thoughtful, they all are really, good stuff! Also Aba and Preach are rad...they go against the grain a lot and they make me enjoy your videos even more.
"we're a good looking group" 🤣🤣 ... The test results said that was a lie. 🤣🤣🤣 Came here after watching aba & preach. Only 25 seconds into this video and I can already picture a&p having a field day lol.
I know that Jubilee is about opening talks about taboo topics and learning from all sides of the story. But what do you do after the conversation? What is Jubilee doing beyond the talks? What is empathy after conversation?
As a progressive, I’m glad you don’t take a political stance Because the only way to make change is to give people the space to feel included in the conversation. Exclusion doesn’t serve anyone. It doesn’t stop racists or homophones from existing. But making room for the participation of other perspectives allows for more room to share open ideas. It’s hard. It’s hard to hold our hurt when dealing with racism and homophobia and anti-sentiments towards certain religious. But we have to remain steady and give people a reason to change and mean it
I think everyone deserves empathy, until they are someone who lacks empathy for others and damages other people through their lack of empathy, then I have no obligation to empathize with you once you are for example an abuser that lacks empathy for a victim.
So, basically pople shouldn't criticize your content, because you feel bad when they do so. You may wanna reconsider your career choice then. Irony is, this video has resurfaced exactly because your content is criticized. I'm very pleased that people are standing up for Aba N Preach.

@@amandastewart1358 YE stop trying to invalidate peoples feelings and cancel all leftists.
Absolute facts.
This aged like Milk
@Co-Bruh they are leftist but atleast they make open conversations
With Kendras point on needing to take a stance and it being about right and wrong, that’s the inherent problem with that, is who decides what’s right and what’s wrong. Because even within the liberal community one of us may think something someone did is forgivable while another feels it is not. Everyone’s perspective is different so who would be deciding what is right and what is wrong. In many, not all, but many aspects of life, things are very nuanced and go deeper than the surface. For that reason alone I think it’s important and great that jubilee doesn’t take sides just presents it all for a dialogue
Jason: We allow folks to monetize off of our content
*That didn't age well unfortunately*
I'll take you guys seriously when you can do the following:
- Learn to take criticism and not confusing it for hatred to improve your approach to these videos.
I feel like they are very happy and wholesome people, but very capable if handling more mature content
Hearing Kendra being so open about Jubilee not being her end destination came as quite a refreshing shock Because usually you cannot be open like that at traditional companies about your personal projects which might lead to a different venture. It's good to see that such honesty is possible at Jubilee!
it makes sense because what she is passionate about is not the kind of content that Jubilee makes.
Wow, how inspiring it is to see the CEO Jason having such a drive for Jubilee's mission
That was a good one 😂🤣
Yep happy he took his stance on whether they should get political
Here after y’all trying to delete Aba and Preach channel. Shameful
jason listening so intently
^^
exactly
Agreed
But if anyone critiques them he becomes a hater ? Whats up with that ?
100% agreed
You have to get over the left and right issue. It’s right and wrong. There’s good on both sides and there’s bad on both sides
Jubilee should change their name to CryBullee(bully) 😂😂
I think it's hilarious that they recognize that Aba and Preach are always reacting to their content. That was interesting.
Exactly!
Beautifully said
I think it's important that we acknowledge our own politics, because none of us (including you) is truly objective.
@Queen queen it's hyperbole dude. Obviously that's not the worst thing in the world...
Echo chambers are for the weak.
''real conversations'' riiiiiiiight
Never watchin jubilee again if they cancel Aba and preach
aba and preach literally give your videos more perspective but ok just classify it as mean i guess
So pewdiepie gets praised for having his opinions but aba and preach are mean and judgmental for no reason? 🧐 make it make sense

When Kendra said “we are in an era where things are right and things are wrong”. What is she going based on what is right or wrong?
@Grant Well that's a biased opinion of you. They do this for every side of every story. Golden example: Incel guy from "men's rights movement". Where the fuck did they find that thing.

I personally watch it because of the lack of bias which is so rare nowadays and I really hope they never change because they are executing their goal of human good just fine as it is

you might want to consider this: you might feel some kinda way about people reacting to your video, but some part of your growth over times comes from people in the audiences of those channels that react to your work following up to see the whole video and then subscribing to you.
you are trying on some level to start conversations, so you cannot also have tender feelings about how the conversation goes once it leaves your hands.

Good question.

I know that Jubilee is about opening talks about taboo topics and learning from all sides of the story.
But what do you do after the conversation? What is Jubilee doing beyond the talks? What is empathy after conversation?
As a progressive,
I’m glad you don’t take a political stance
Because the only way to make change is to give people the space to feel included in the conversation.
