We were their and the white falcon fgx snapped the tail shaft and replaced it in 3 hours to run a new pb next pass
Love them all I’m a sucker for RB’s and Barras but let’s be honest the 2jz have the faster times just look at the Puerto Rican’s and that wild 5 second sprinter I’m glad maatouks and crd have put Australia on the map with rb’s METRO and JUNII
But personally think jw are the kings with single cam rb30’s

Kamar lol barras won’t Be far off 5s Dyno mite already running under mid 6s ? And pretty sure it runs stock crank and block where as all your mid 5 sec jz have billet

2jz is the best rb second barra 3rd only thing the barra has advantage for is the displacement

@@fullboost deoending on where you live you might choose barra because it's cheaper America and everywhere else use the 2jz because it's stronger and cheaper to hard then a barra from Australia
@@fullboost by the time you pay the $$ to get the barra out of that rubbish chassis and into a real one, youre already down like 3k+ that is enough to get 350kw out of my rb in a good chassis.
Ive seen many 250kw golfs, 240kw evos dominate 330kw xr6ts/f6s.
Very true of what you just said Barras only displacement, but 2JZ and RB26 still King of all 6 Cylinders considering a smaller motor and can pack a bunch of power!

RB’s require lots of extra mods to run without issues. Oil pumps, head oil drain mods, plus the blocks crack around the head studs.
Not sure what you expect from a 30+ year old block 😂

GF Turbo sprint and no more tailshaft, lol : )WOw so well built yet it failed, i guess it happens, i hope he got it fixed and put in a single peace tailshaft maybe a billet and balanced one ,with higher strength units or connectors to the diff etc. :)

The black Dynomite Performance Promod near the start runs a destroked barra, sounds a lot like a jz.

Well he is on a trans break and converter so not a big surprise. The AWD R35s that power wheelie with factory GR6 DCT transmissions are far crazier simply because that's pure power lifting t he front not gearing and set up.

Is there still an RB/Barra/2JZ debate? It was established years ago that the 2JZ is the superior platform. 🤦♂️
Sam Spezza Respect your opinion but the Barra can make big power for much less than a 2j or Rb. Barra are more reliable too. I’m not trying to sound like those 8sec for 2k Barra fanboys but the Barra is the better platform imo. Saying that though those Rb and 2j sounds much nicer though

@@mills3375 That's totally depending on where you live here in the states it cost far more to build a Barra or RB then a 2jz. As far as same power and reliability goes the 2j was the only import motor in the 5s and they have been there for how meany years? Still no RB or Barra to be found years later. The RB is my favorite by the way not for power but for sound wish they were comon here in the states.
If the same aftermarket development went into the barra like the rb/2jz I believe it would be very different.
It got pretty boring watching barras do 9s after the 5 second jz.
Which cars have which engine? The LC has 186 on the no plate.
With people putting Datsuns in Toymotas and Toymotas in other cars who knows.
I hope the Falcon had a Ford however.

Fairly obvious though that a Falcon motor being 4l is a major start on the others. Though while the Falcon on the street is pretty reliable I wonder about those cranks and rods. Though cabs do 80000 on them on gas. Except when Scotty gets near them!!
And the Datsun got smokey and cracked heads when near new in both Skylines and Dunnydores.
The Toymota was better though in far less numbers. At least here in Oz. But do not do near the km of the Falcon.
Though Ben Bray is using a 4500 Landcruiser engine. Bigger again.
Though unless you are playing to a capacity limit a Chev [or larger] is still far better. Even those late model ones!!
To date have not seen that Bf RED dyno winner with over 2,000 HP at the rear wheels at any drags, hum all show but no go maybe?

I mean barras are pushing cars into 6's on the stock block and heads. Dont think the 2j and rb are doing that. Its not a big overthought to think the barra is better considering its ahead around 10 years tech wise. In 10 years the barra will be the best i6 available.
