I believe there's an implication that much like Fallen Timeline Ganon, Vaati slowly went insane and believed that his "Kirby Boss" form is his true self...
Vaati deserves to come back. Being the second most recurring Villain and all. And since the FS games are entirely owned by Nintendo (unlike the whole mess that Mario RPG is) there's no reason why they can't bring him back. Let my boy shine again!

It's actually insane how now the time is right for Four Swords Adventure to return the Wii U and Switch could serve as the GBASPs and the TV as the overworld screen. We don't know what Nintendo's next console will be like. Also a Minish Cap remaster would be nice...

Although canonically I don't think the 2 really have any relation, it's still pretty cool that one of Vaati's demon forms was clearly based on the nightmare from Links Awakening

While Octavo isn't Vaati, the locket item alludes to the fact that Octavo is Vaati's descendant. Saying that the gem that was on Vaati's hat is an heirloom passed down for generations, explaining the similarities between the two. Which means Vaati fucks.
Y'know, looking back at Vatii and the Minish, the Zonai's designed were definately influenced by them. Vatii's "big" form heavily resembles the Zonai from TOTK, and his eye in the last phase looks a lot like the Construct's designs.
Vaati has always been my most favorite character in the series, and so apon hearing the reasons why Yuga was put into hyrule warriors over him despite Vaati being MUCH more prominent and beloved.....it really REALLY annoys me, all because Jesus didn't get enough votes to be added in.....and yet Yuga got more???? I call BS, Vaati deserves WAY more love and attention then he does....he is the second most prominent villain in the series just before Ganondorf
Wasn’t Vaatis last appearance chronologically in four sword adventures on GameCube. I played that and I remember I found it weird he had nothing to say like before vaati was all about taunting link but in his last appearance he was silent

Sadly I don't think Vaati could return in the current timeline, unless they break even more continuity. Vaati is originally a Minish, which don't exist in the BOTW and TOTK timeline, as they retcon basically *all* of the past lore in the series.
Didn't anyone ever think maybe we don't ever see the minish in BOTW or TOTK because in the lore only children can see them? Link is a grown man in both those games.

Botw and Totk didn't retcon anything. Both games, including the past parts, are far in the future. It is a new Hyrule the Zonai founded, and there have been multiple races that live in the sky.
I also swapped between his final phase of his Minish cap fight and the cadence fight, and Octavo's theme is very clearly a remixed version of Vaati's. It might be a bit of a stretch, but its very rare for nintendo final bosses that aren't somehow related to share a theme so I can understand why he made that connection

Octavo isn't Vaati... he's literally mentioned in Crypt of the Necrodancer's story. He's his own character.
That's a fair take, but there are a lot of corrolated elements. Wind, music, purple/black color scheme, that hair.

Octavo was actually intended to be Vaati, but since he's technically owned by Capcom it wasn't legally possible.
