You are absolutely supposed to kill the red reaper in vampire survivors. You get a character out of it, and it’s pretty much the main use for weapons like infinite corridor
Yup, and the white reaper only spawns if you use those two weapons, so to get the character you had to find other ways. Been a while since I’ve played so I have no clue if you can get the character with those weapons or not though

well, it was originally meant to be unbeatable, but when people started finding ways to beat it, the devs added reasons to do so similarly to the Dungeon Guardian in Terraria, rather than continue buffing it, they reward people for managing the assumed impossible task
One of the things I hate from boss fights like these is when you sometimes defeat them easily in the gameplay, they'll then proceed to absolutely destroy you in the cutscene. So boss fights like Sam first fight in MGR is appreciated because you'll know that you're going to lose there anyway. Either that or make it like fighting against the final boss for the first time in Devil May Cry V where you're supposed to lose but if you're skilled enough you can actually defeat him and get a unique ending.
or its like sekiro where you beat genichiro on your very first encounter even though you have to nearly flawless him to do so and when he does some arrow or something comes from egypt and you still lose your arm
@@momoavatar4960nah a shuriken gets thrown by one of those nightjar assassin guys which distracts Sekiro and makes him lose his arm, you can see them in the cutscene afterwards

Alduin can't be killed because he's marked as "essential", much like the other NPC we see crawling on the ground. They can only be temporarily knocked out. I believe you can change this status with the console as well
That's the point of removing the essential status. Any NPC flagged with essential will be unkillable and will stagger on the ground. Removing this will allow them to die permanently. The only exception to this rule is children.

Dude, I spent like 3 hours or more on the Armstrong fight because of that. Like I never learned how to properly cut in blade mode, I was one of the people who just ran to the back of sundowner and killed him that way
Fun fact: the zurgs from stray are actually killable before you get the UV light because if you get into a barrel and get the AI of the zurgs to be in front or behind you while inside the barrel, you can actually squish them and kill them
In Dead Space 2 there is a Boss where you are meant to run from it and then get attacked by a Gunship in which the same Boss will attack and dragged you towards the ship and grabs you and you have to shoot red barrels in order to kill it since before you are supposed to hit yellow weak spots on the creature and during the chase the creature is invicible due to no weak spots Also in Dead Space 3 there is a section where you are meant to survive and wait for a tram to arrive while you are against a Necromorph called "Regenerator" in which he can't die, normally in the Dead Space games you have to shoot their limbs to kill Necromorphs, but since he can regenerate any missing limbs, he won't die even if you cut off all his limbs
You showed off the fact that the crewmates in Halo CE are protected and how to glitch so the marines don’t show up, but you never showed the unkillable marines being killed, or what happens if you survive against them.

In Yu-gi-oh Forbidden Memories you are supposed to lose a fight against Heishin near the beginning of the game. If you win, you still get a card, but then you are forced to fight him again.

Heishin will lose every time, but again, the game only advances when *you* lose. I would know, I did both. It was a fun experiment!

Normally, when you fight the titans in their first phase, their hp won’t drop past like 10% of their max irregardless of how strong the hit was. Then they would run away and eat an herb to power up for phase 2. That hp barrier was removed, but as you saw, it didn’t change the outcome at all.

However, players had found a way to kill it anyway, overlooked by the developer and managed to do it. Surprisingly, it was already coded in that you would unlock the character "Mask of the Red Death" by killing the Reaper, essentially giving you a reward for something you shouldn't be able to do. The developer is amazing!
Since you included Vampire Survivors, you could also include Holocure, and an old strat called "inalock", which let you keep going indefinitely (at least until you run out of RAM)

In halo reach, on lone wolf if you go out of bounds and kill a certain elite, then go back in bounds and kill a few enemies, you can survive infinitely. At least on disc, 😅 i found it by trying to survive as long as possible and gave in out of boredom about 2 hours in

I don't think you ever lose to it, but at scripted hp gates it runs from you. If you manage to straight up knock it out, it faints and skips the running event.
I mean in Reach supposedly there's a strat that can allow to survive forever. The problem is however that you'd have to fight an endless hord for eternity as there's no real ending.

The first video game I ever played was an old game boy color game called Magi Nation. You encounter the final boss shortly into the story and he's meant to kick your ass, but if you do new game + he actually has a finite hp value and you can take him down, it takes hours and the game still continues like you lost, but he's at least a fantastic source xp at high levels
Imagine an alternate universe Halo series where Chief went mad in the stasis chamber. I can't even imagine how different the story would be with an intelligent insane supersoldier running amok. Like he'd end up trying to take the Halo array for himself, just to satiate his bloodlust

I don't think you ever lose to it, but at scripted hp gates it runs from you. If you manage to straight up knock it out, it faints and skips the running event.
You can lose to it you just get tp to a pokemon center.

The first video game I ever played was an old game boy color game called Magi Nation. You encounter the final boss shortly into the story and he's meant to kick your ass, but if you do new game + he actually has a finite hp value and you can take him down, it takes hours and the game still continues like you lost, but he's at least a fantastic source xp at high levels
