Same with Reggie bush and the heisman. It wasn’t about PED’s or anything, so no matter what, he will always be the heisman (they gave it back thank god)
@ it doesn’t matter. You’re not going to erase history. You can’t do that even if the record book says otherwise. Louisville fans (not myself as I’m not a fan) will still feel they won it. Was it wrong for what they did? Yes, but if Louisville isn’t getting the title, no one should. The thing with sports is we remember the iconic moments even if dark clouds hanging above it. Michigan’s two national title appearances are not there, but we remember Chris Webber calling an illegal timeout. USC had a national title and a Rose Bowl appearance stripped away, but we remember that epic game between USC-Texas. The records will show no winner in 2013, but everyone knows deep down Louisville won the game over Michigan.
"Louisville ONLY got 2 years of probation and fined 5K for the Adidas scandal", that we knew nothing about. Two years my azz! From 2017 thru Nov. 2022 we were stuck in limbo waiting for a decision. Nobody wanted to come to UofL if they couldn't earn a spot in the tournament. The ENTIRE ordeal started off with a book that people took as being a "real life" experience. I've always said if this book was to be taken "literally" the author would have been arrested for trafficking her 15yr daughter, as was written in her book. There were inappropriate things that were done by these assistant coaches but the punishment of vacating all of our games and our Championship was way too far. Rick Pitino was eventually exonerated of any "wrong doing" and went back into coaching. Now it's 2024, we have a new coach and a new team and everything is looking pretty good for Louisville Fans. And YES, we are the 🔥2013 NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS🔥 Go CARDS!

As a UK fan Louisville won that chip, no body cares about the vacated wins and all that BS. What matters is history, what happened, and what happened was Louisville won the championship that year.
I'm from Louisville, and was proud as can be of the 1980 and 1986 NCAA champions. But the school's basketball program became a cesspool of sleaze under the egomaniacal coach Pitino. I said good riddance to him and his arrogance, and I don't care for the dropout factory that college basketball overall has become.
@@benjaminrei1319 I wouldn’t accept the national title in 2013 for two reasons. 1) I didn’t do enough to win that win that game. I’d rather lose fairly than have a title that initially wasn’t mine given to me when I didn’t earn it at first. 2) You don’t want to be like the Arizona Cardinals.
A team from Kentucky? They are not THE Kentucky. That would be like saying "a team from North Carolina" and it's just one of those second tier UNC-hyphen places!
