At 3:04 in this video, the shop's name is "廖孖記" (reading from left to right). The sign here indicates that "記孖廖" was the ancient format, (reading from right to left). This shop has been around for more than 100 years. During my childhood, I lived within a 3-minute walk from this shop. Now, even in Toronto, I still enjoy their fermented bean curd (腐乳). The price is even cheaper than in Hong Kong. Whenever I eat it, it always brings back my sweet childhood memories. Thank you for sharing this video.
Hi there I will be in Hong Kong next week and would love to go and eat there but I do not speak Cantonese ! so can you please write the name in English or how to find this place ? I would really appreciate it so much ;)
@69mstar69 I am very sorry to let you know that it is not a restaurant, may not even provide a small table for the customers. The shop just sell their own products, but they are very salty. You can not eat it without accompanying the rice together. We just use a very small amount when making the dishes. Anyway, Hong Kong has tens of thousands of delicious food. If this is the first time for you, it is better to try some variety of Chinese food. Personally, I would prefer the Cantonese food cause some Chinese food from the other province might be very spicy. Ask before you order.
You guys capture the essence of Kowloon very well. I look forward to the Hong Kong Island videos. BTW when I visted Hong Kong, my birthplace, I as well logged >20K steps almost everyday.

Thank you for the video. Two top tips for visitors from me: 1, Order a local SIMS from Klook( I have no commission) before you arrive and collect it from the kiosk at the airport. The staff will activate it for you if you ask. It is quite a fiddly process, and you will need your passport and wifi. 2, Get yourself an Octopus card as soon as you get to the MTR/subway/underground/train station and top it up with a few hundred dollars. You can use it as a wallet and pay for all public transport (except taxis) and it is accepted by most stores. Welcome to HK!

The Mirador building is very old but it is at a very central location of everything in the middle of Nathan road. So you can't expect much from hotel rental. Dim sum at some of these older restaurants next to the street is pretty good. But the problem is you usually have to share a table. Hong Kong is much more expensive if you compare to China. The Hong Kong side has more fancier restaurants. I think I saw a review of a little bao restaurant at Causeway Bay that looks interesting.
Yeah we can't knock the location it was perfect for us and only for one night. It wouldn't be very comfortable if you had a lot of stuff but we didn't. That's why we couldn't stay long we just couldn't really afford it.
That's actually a good observation of the details in MTR stations. Also very nice footages! Shouting out to Tranditional Chinese btw speaking as a Hong Konger.
