was hoping the 99 annual fee version came with some perks like a free bag checked or priority seating something same issue the 99 emirates card has with barclays nothing to exciting

silver status comes with an additional 15kg. silver status is given with the 99 version.

I’m new to the points and miles game. Why do you think these are better than chase cards?

A year of Status that you can match to other One World Airlines via One World Ruby or Sapphire that can become something like American Airlines Gold or Higher without having an AA card yet or to kickstart your AA Status run. I have to see the rest of the terms and such to see if baggage is covered. So they offer cool benefits is all.

Thanks for the video. Like that you pronounce thing properly.
For me these cards are a nope. Don't have the extra spend to get/maintain Qatar status since I already have to shovel spend to Chase for AC + Hyatt status - but at 400k spend that seems actually quite reasonable (minus natural OneWorld flying) and comparable to AA/DL/UA.

I make an attempt, I’m sure I’m still not quite there. I think of it as a shortcut to your preferred One World Carrier’s status label, but yeah they are HARD to maintain on spend alone with the Cardless cards

So, which one seems to be the better value according to you - the signature ($99) or the infinite ($499)?

I think if you want to grab a matched Status with another One World Partner real quick and earn with them another way, get the Signature. If you want to stay in Qatar’s system and maintain their status and enjoy Lounges, get the Infinite. Maintaining Qatar status will be “easier” on spend with the Infinite (750 < 1000).
And the Visa Infinite will have better protections is that’s a major consideration for you.

We don’t get lounge access with the signature card?

Checked on Qatar's website, you get unlimited Lounge access at Hamad with Silver Status, but only a few passes outside of Hamad, but OneWorld Ruby should get you into lounges.
